Interior areas of maps like caves, bot factories, etc. where stratagems aren’t available would be really cool. It would require planning beforehand on how to breach in order to destroy objectives as quickly as possible so as to not run out of ammo. Also the visual of the mechs with flashlights flanked by Helldivers moving through a dark tunnel while you hear bugs skittering about would be epic

What about making the exosuits modular? Instead of having different variations you buy the base exosuit then buy the upgrades. And have another computer screen on the destroyer where you pick your loadout for your mech. So you can have different combinations. Flamethrower with auto cannon, or Gatling with flame thrower, etc

Having a full mission area dedicated to just being a city and not a colony, some assets being similar but with key landmarks, like it was mentioned, highways, maybe skyscrapers to mimick the giant walls we have to navigate around or overhanging plateaus in desert-like biomes. Maybe it can forcibly determined where we can land as well as to "Not cause excessive damage" but we are rewarded for going around doing side objectives where we can set up defensive perimeters like already-placed, permanent sentries and SAM Sites. I can definitely see something like this now someone mentioned a complete Super Earth city-like biome.

The monoliths are opening the wormhole to another timeline. They have a purple glowing ring like the hole and emit a very similar sound. Merging timelines makes every HD1 outcome Canon. Conversely, the cover art chain could mean that in the first one, Super Earth was having a new generation of Helldivers to join the fight. In Escalation of Freedom, they were showing Super Earth was bloodied but still standing. In Omens of Tyranny, the Helldivers are going and taking back that which was lost.

I think planets with mixed presence could be cool, such as illuminates and bugs on a planet maybe even have some illuminate altered bugs, or bugs and bots where the bots are trying to take the bugs for fuel and such opening up what is a three way battle on a single planet. Okay theory time: Once the Illuminate’s full force arrives and they establish a main base of operations they will align with the Automatons (this makes even more sense when you remember that months ago we interrupted deep space transmissions from the automatons who are probably the illuminate). They will probably also align with the bugs. I don’t know how because the bugs can’t communicate via any technology but they can also use their mind control abilities but I don’t they would. Ones they are all communicating and in a truce they will all attach super earth. And if you think we can defend against them before they arrive at super earth you are wrong, we had our hands full with the bot if the pay all push at once, Super Earth will burn 💜💛♥️

The theory being suggested that we're going to lose the Galactic War...the problem is...this game very much flows like the first game does, thus...if Super Earth loses the Galactic War...another will just start. Each "storyline" beat doesn't really have much gravity in changing how everything feels, it's mostly just temporary flavor for the moment, and it fades as soon as missions start. Can that change in the coming year(s)? Of course, but there needs to be more done to change that course and make the game feel different at different times, rather than just writing some flavor text. For example... If we lose the Galactic War, have there be a period of a week or two where Helldivers can't use their loadouts or strategems (ya know, because we LOST), and need to find other ways to organically build back a resistance, grassroots pockets of soldiers using infiltration with minimal weapons...opens up opportunities for new mission types, new ways to play. Being a live service means it NEEDS ways for the game to feel fresh. I realize everyone just likes the running and gunning chaos with zero consequence, but if this game is going to be immersive for an ongoing Galactic War on multiple fronts (with Super Earth constantly outnumbered by currently three factions, but hopefully more in the future), this type of thing would add the consequence the game needs to push people to continue to fight. What are everyone's thoughts on that? I'm anticipating pushback, but let's get a discussion going.

For the Helldivers to lose the war, the community needs to lose the war. If battle is brought to Super Earth, I feel like there would probably be a massive IRL call to arms within the community. Maybe bringing back players that wouldn't have otherwise considered coming back. Unless Joel just completely dunks on our heads and its literally unwinnable. Make the Creek look like a walk in the park regardless.
