The medium 50% explosion resistance armor is what I run on bots primarily. I survived a teammate's orbital barrage on top of my head, stimmed up and kept going. I have not specifically tested if I can shoot at my feet with the grenade crossbow. I'll try that tonight. PS: I truly enjoy your content, even though I'm not typically a video game playthrough consumer. You are very positive, swear slightly (so my kids can watch with me), and your skill is insane. I have learned a lot and adapted quite a few of your techniques in my play style. Thank you mate.

Recoilless insta-kills all dropship passengers when shot in the middle (you have to hit the dropship itself). If you hit the engine, behaviour is as it was before.

I believe from some Eravin vids that the armor class on the front of tanks/turrets is higher than at the rear. To one shot them you need to aim for the rear of these units. Also Shooting a dropship and bringing it down BEFORE the troops drop kill everything on it. I even killed a Factory Strider like this before it dropped, but you have to catch the ship in transit since they drop tanks and factory striders almost immediately when arriving.

If you hit the body of a dropship it kills all of the passengers, including hulks. Tanks of any kind and the factory strider don't die when you take out their lift though So if you see a dropship with a hulk and whatever else on it you don't wanna deal with (cough cough rocket devastators) then shoot the head, middle of body or the butt end of the dropship. Not the engines, that just causes the spiral down thing and the bots still live. Hitting it in the belly where the bots are hanging works too, you can't hit the chaff though or else the dropship lives -Steviemaster, SES Titan of Judgement

yes recoiless shotting dropships midair by targeting the body not the thrusters kills ALL units, small chaff, hulks, striders, tanks, and fab striders. diff being the ship explodes while all passengers on it close to blast, rather than targeting thruster where it falls first then explodes, with terrain screwing up the passengers taking damage aim higher so you dont hit the passengers, but not too high where it gets deflected off the top

To destroy cannon turrets as well as tanks in one shot you should aim at their gun/barrel. It still counts as a hitbox and doesn't have upgraded armor as front plate does

just so you're aware, it is automaton blood that is covering your character. if you look closely, you can see all automatons have red tubing running through their bodies. it would also explain the cages full of dead humans.

Wrong. Red blood is the helldiver's. Automatons have oil and you get black spots on your armor. The only reason you don't see it that often compared to bugs is that you have to be really close to the bots when you shoot/kill them which rarely happens.

the turrets on the tanks have their break points broken again, if you shoot a recoiless at it head on it's like 100 damage shy of one shotting it. you have to hit the tank turret barrel, the sides, top, or back of the turret (does not apply to barrager tanks). same applies with tank turret towers. in general, 2 anti tank shots to the front turret face plate (2 EATs, 4 commando shots, 2 recoiless, 2 quasar, idk spear since it doesnt shoot straight on so it might hit the top and 1 shot), 1 shot every where else.

so the cannon turrets (and annihilator tanks) can be one-shot from the front with the RR if you hit the barrel (this is what happened near the beginning of the mission) also hitting a dropship in the center (or head or butt) will kill everything in the dropship if you hit it before it drops (including tanks and factory striders) both these things I've done earlier today on diff 9 missions

Fun fact, hitting the drop ship with the recoilless rifle in its main body (not the engines) kills the drop ship and any bots in it, rather than just dropping the bots faster, doesn’t matter the bot, it’s going to die, ez way to kill groups, hulks, and factory striders with 1 shot

Don't aggro everything. Stealth around patrols you don't HAVE to fight. Try to take fights you know you can win without taking too long.

For example D10 bot patrols only have like 2 chaff and mediums plus a hulk, or just a hulk scorcher plus berserker and no chaff at all.

100% taking out dropships with recoilless rifle kills all bots on board. You hit a passenger with your shot, gotta aim for the section of the ship between the thrusters. It breaks the ship apart mid-air, while hitting a thruster will cause it to drop, but sometimes enemies can survive the crash from that.

Your loadout is pretty dope, but you get hard countered by berserkers. Any ideas how one could remedy this? My guess is to switch the secondary for something more punchy but idk

Crossbow can kill a whole group of zerkers in two shots if they are close enough together, which they usually are. They are definitely not a problem for this loadout. Hardest counter on bots to this setup are gunships, but takibo actually made them look easy here. Its very hard to line those shots up.

I run heavy armor with explosive resistance on bugs and you can shoot at you feet just fine with the crossbow. Not sure about lighter armors though.

Fortified passive also depends on armor type. Heavy will definitely survive a crossbow shot to feet, medium will do too, and light might struggle here a bit, but possible. 17:50 Also the recoilless rifle shot to the drop ship's engine will destroy it, and if you do so before the automaton deployment animation starts, you kill them all :)

No, you need to hit the main body to destroy the bots under it, not the engine. One shots it with the recoilless.

@@MrNimbleBear no, it's not consistent, even if you kill it before they drop. They can glitch under the ship and stay alive and shoot you from under where you can get shot but you can't shoot them.

@@FrozenByFire3 true, but the rifle's aoe is not big enough to take out a whole squad of enemies, therefore both methods will result in the same. And I've proposed the animation part because if you take your time before shooting, the drop ship will drop the bots, at which point it doesn't matter if you shoot the ship or not. Again, just be quick, regardless of which method to use.
