Red on the map is sometimes bots that are manning gun emplacements, what's why evac was red when there were no factories.

The ballistic shield trivializes a lot of the bots, as long as you have a sidearm that can deal with medium armor like the grenade pistol.

Would honestly really like to see one of these no support builds against bots. Still in the early days of progression but I find the bots more fun, but also find that it’s a lot harder when I don’t have access to the support weapons you tend to use in your bot vids

It’s really great to see someone running the shield backpack with the flamethrower. I always do this when I’m playing since even with randoms you need that survivability. The flamethrower is such a health risky weapon. I would say don’t use the flamethrower on hunters since they seem to dodge a fair amount of its dmg with their twitchy movements and then set you on fire instead. Sometimes you can’t help it though cus they’re in the swarm you’re clearing.

99% of people don’t know this but u can one tap any enemy with any weapon if u aim directly for the sphincter . It’s an extremely tricky shot since enemies don’t visibly have an anus but once you become a pro at this you can annihilate enemies on general brasch levels with such ease it will feel u are always playing on trivial or 1 difficulty

Man, something is wrong with either scorcher bullet hitboxes or commissar bot hitboxes, I miss a lot of shots that look like they should hit in every bot game. And it feels only a scorcher issue.

Only by direct shell impact. Position the tower between the beacon and the map center and make sure the beacon is close to the tower base. Or make sure it's touching the tower base at any angle. I most commonly use the gas for this, but I think OPS and barrage hits can work as well. I know lasers can, but they don't directly target the thing. I saw a guy use an eagle once but I forget the strat he used.

Does anyone know why at the start of EVERY drop Takibo never gets to control his pod? In 500+ hrs I've only encountered this twice. Is it a hardware issue? Servers?

TLDR: It's because he plays with a framerate that's higher that 60 fps. It's a bit complicated to explain why it's like this but I'll try: The game waits for a certain amount of frames to pass during the drop sequence loading screen before it gives you control of your pod. If you run at 60 fps (or lower) it times it perfectly and gives you control of your pod just as the loading screen ends. If you run above 60 fps then it counts frames too quickly and gives you control of your pod WHILE the loading screen is still up. (You can actually blindly control your pod too). So when you finally load into the planet you're pod is on the ground. Takibo runs at a framerate above 60 fps and he's also playing solo so he isn't syncing up with other teammates drops either. It's an extremely unknown bug. Basically it works like this: •If your framerate is locked to 60 fps you WILL be able to control your pod. •If your framerate is higher than 60 fps but one or more of your teammates are locked to 60 fps (or lower) then the game syncs your drop with them and you WILL be able to control your pod. •If your framerate is higher than 60 fps and ALL of your teammates are also playing higher than 60 fps then you WON'T be able to control your pod. •If your playing higher than 60 fps and also solo you WON'T be able to control your pod. I also run higher than 60 fps but I use an app that allows me to hit a hotkey during the drop sequence loading screen to temporarily lock my framerate to 60. Then when I gain control of my pod I hit the hotkey again to unlock it. I use this as a work around to be able to control my pod and also play with an unlocked framerate. (the app I use is Riva Tuner Statistics Server) --Thank you for coming to my TED talk

Some really great primary options for bots are plas punisher for group stagger, diligence CS for one tap headshots and range, dominator does the same for close-medium range (depends how easily you can use a red dot further away) and they all pair beautifully with AMR, heavy MG or autocannon especially with the new physique passive they all handle so much better now that it actually works. I prefer HMG and AMR over AC but thats just me. Also a surprisingly epic backpack is the ballistic shield. Bots can't see you if youre holding it and even when you shoot at them they'll shoot in that direction and go there but wont see you unless you're side on with one. You could take a one handed weapon or use the senator with it, golden.

The sword hand robots can put up their arm swords to block attacks. That’s most likely why that one particular bot took four melee strikes to down.

As a Solo Diver that is stuck on level 4 I love your videos, Now this Rat style is awesome as I thought the style was my own personal Chicken Shit style, where I run around and try to whittle down the bots to what I can manage. It used to be on bots I would usually find a support weapon laying around pretty fast, but its weird since the patch they are hella scarce and when you find one its a flame thrower or arc. I do level threes to test weapons/stratagems you suggest, and another weird thing is getting tanks dropped on me in level threes, meh maybe the game is trying to encourage me.

Hey Takibo idk if other folks have commented this but when moving the artillery shells if you pick them up but switch weapons before it ends up in your hands you will throw the shell which helps move shells quickly

used spear for first time and 1 shot a titan and fired over a charger. good to know to aim down
