Star Marshal rank here. A huge tip is like real life if you prone you are harder to hit and explosions affect you much less when fighting bots. Stealth is huge dont engage in higher difficulties as enemies will swarm you quickly and saving ammo and stims for later is huge. Always bring rockets of some kind. And most important... HAVE FUN 😊😊

Master Sargeant here, the biggest tip I can give is that winning is more important than living!

When you hit level 10 you unlock a “guard dog” sentry which I highly recommend, particularly if you’re fighting terminids. It cuts through most small bugs like a hot knife through butter and saves you ammo.

My tip! I put quick grenade on L1, stratagems to r1, took grenade off right on d pad. Put comms on right d pad and switch shoulders to L3. Allowing use of quick grenade helps so much! Dont be mad if a teamate accidentally kills you!!!

If you divejump and look around 360 degrees your Helldiver will dona screw spin in the air which adds insane managed democratic stylepoints to your jump to certain death.

Lv 50 skull admiral here. When i play with randoms, i will state in chat that they are free to pick up my equipment when i die since i can call them back anyway. Seeing low lvl randoms enjoy the jet pack, autocannon, arc thrower, etc. is both wholesome and at the very least improves squad ability. One round on suicide i brought a Spear and saw it picked up by a lv 11 after i died. Called another one for myself later on and started loading for this same lv 11. He and I stayed at the rear from the other 2 squadmates and started to load for each other as we took out bile titans and chargers at will!

Running away is treason! What proper Helldivers do is what’s called a tactical withdrawal.

Started playing earlier this week and had absolutely no idea about holding Square for quick weapon actions or the ping function...this is going to make things much easier now!

Don't place sentry turrets at higher locations, that will still rip you to shreds. Place them at ground level, and keep your character at higher levels. The turrets will never shoot up at you unless you've already been overrun, and at that point it's time to relocate anyway.

Another note on sample collecting: Everyone shares the rewards. It doesn't matter who carries them to the extraction ship. So don't kill each other over them, that'd be treason

on top of the lvl5 waiting tip, levels 10, 15 and 20 are also places where good ones unlock. so buy some improvements at level 5 then save until you hit level 10.

One tip is to not overlook your starting stratagems. They may not be as flashy as an eagle deploying a 500kg bomb or a high explosiveaoe bombardment, but the reliability of the machine gun alongside the ability of the precision strike to take down structures and large enemies cannot be understated. If a charger is coming at you, it's often a good idea to throw the precision bombardment at your feet and dive out of the way

A good tip I have is to drop your samples at the evac site if you're mid game and so happen to be by it. I also like to call in a supply drop and leave it at the evac site.

One tip I've learned is to just avoid trying to kill enemies with your drop pod. At least in my 25+ hours experience I find more often than not it doesn't kill enemies, and even if it does, it doesn't kill ALL enemies. So don't throw reinforcements into a herd of bugs thinking that will just AOE kill them all. Another I've found useful is pointing out all patrols you see, and then holding R1 and selecting the negative command if you don't want to fight them. I've had a few times where that's come in handy after a nasty nest take down with few stratagems off cooldown, few rounds left just trying to make it too the next objective. Avoid fights if you have too.

If you have a jetpack you can call in the plane but not get in it. Instead jump onto the top of it. If there is a swarm the enemies cannot climb up to get you like on environmental high areas. You can still get hit by flying acid or fire. It can be useful in some situations where you are being overwhelmed.

Here is my veteran tip: Impact Grenades can easily 2-shot Annihilator Tanks, Turret Towers and Hulks is you aim them directly at the heat vents on the backside
