Personally, I think we’re looking at it all wrong; Arrowhead didn’t release a half-baked feature, Super Earth released a half-baked plan for orbital bombardment because Helldivers are expendable resources

It’s annoying to hear the constant bombardment and get killed by this 2-5 times a game. If I wasn’t getting blown up I was getting tossed around into the open only to get blasted by the bots. I wish this thing shot further than 50 meters from helldivers. I will not not playing on any planet with the bombardment active.

Agreed, it needs to not be near as constant and maybe prioritize only patrols or locations with heavy enemies, personally I’d like it to function more like a buff to orbitals bombardments overall, lower cooldown and more salvos, i played one and died to the bombardment/ragdoll adjacent like 5 times, and a rocket strider 1 shot once. And my ears literally cannot stand the 380 noise anymore 😂

My experience with this so far has been killing my friends and team more than actually providing any assistance. Dunno what Arrowhead thought they were cooking, but it was outright absurdly annoying when it's bombarding the objective we needed to complete.

What the DSS Planetary Bombardment needs: 1. To not be constantly on. Maybe a minute on, minute off. 2. Some kind of indication of where the shells are going to land at. 3. Not able to target certain objectives. Too many requires us to stand still and that will kill you. 4. Make the Extraction zone, especially when the shuttle is called in, a safe zone. 5. Maybe a special beacon to give the bombardment some direction for a short period of time. 1,2, and 4 would make it more bearable in the very least.

Honestly not a fan though. I think the sentiment overall is it should not be constant and players should have more control over it. The literal perma ear diddling of a 380 CONSTANTLY going off, on top of getting clapped by it seemingly out of nowhere is obnoxious. Plus the fact that 90% of the enemies wind up either dying, or get too close to you and you get 380’d. You basically play the game less and die to more random bs. Personally I’d like to see it be either a target designated special stratagem, like a wide range heavy walking barrage, with a global cooldown across everyone so it isnt insanely broken. Or it should just be a buff to stratagems like orbitals get reduced cooldown, and increased salvos.

this will be know as .. the Mastia incident.also something i saw , and maybe im wrong about it.. is , the barrage does come down randomly but only at a fair distance around the players, but as you use the jet pack, you have an increased chances of being hit by it since you just jump foward to where the barrage is falling down. mostly likely being hit.

Definitely bugged. But did found ways around it like using heavy fortified armor and the shield backpack that can make you survive those hits. Still messing around with the load outs but with this we got to play around these things now. Cause so far it is doing a HELL of a lot to push liberations.

Post mission results, check Accidentals I definitely died 6-7 times, dude kept apologizing team kills ("killed by" I did get lil tilted mid game). Half those definitely the DDS it was only one stray Eagle Gatling as accidentals were way lower Some visual indicator, do not get mad your squad mates. "You are within friendly fire" - also lmao 9:48 DDS moment

Found a few tricks staying close to be rock formations seems to help heaps and obviously shield Gen pack and liberty protects perk managed to full clear a diff 10 with 2 deaths

ALso 100mm bombard has a range of 50 just like thermal bombard, 380 has 60-65, whilst gatling seems to have a radius of anywhere from 30 to 40 ish

It was interesting to try out but the constant bombardment sounds get irritating in the long run. And it feels like chaos for it's own sake; I mean, if the bombardment is across the whole map, why aren't objectives at the other side of the map getting blown up? How does DSS know where to target? It's uncharacteristically tactically dubious for Arrowhead. I wish it was just an extra 380 strategem for each helldiver, letting only 1 be active at a time but otherwise having separate cooldowns

I mean its literally brand new, feedback will get through. “Missing the mark” isnt what i’d call the last few warbonds, they’ve been interesting in their own right. Honestly I would be okay with them cooling down on the warbond releases, focus on refining certain gameplay mechanics like armor passives that are underwhelming, and boosters that are useless. Maybe sprinkle in a stratagem here or there to compensate for the warbond drought.

I've been playing since release they have been missing the mark for sure your saying the chemical agents warbond is good? I'm finding the weapons to just be conventional weaponry that doesn't bring anything special to the table they need a deeper armour/weapon customisable system... a bloody armour colour pallette system different missions, biomes, and more vehicle options... a social hub on the DSS would have been amazing also... its just snail pace... 7 weeks give or take for an extra menu and a "weather system modifier" is just not cutting it as far as a reward for content goes.

They should've waited till clan and group systems were in the game to release DSS. The focus should've been on the illuminate, and DSS should've been SE's response. I thought this would be more like the strata relay from warframe and clan system dojo.. meet up with random players and have different NPC's have events and dev interactions like meeting General Brach and visiting a zoo where they show off terminid experimental mutations and where our resources go, maybe even weapon mod vendors.. I expected so many things... instead we got trolled again! But yeah? This is pretty much just an overrated modifier settings menu, and I didn't really care for those. I guess we'll see how it is with (MORE) explosions everywhere.. 😂 They released this, too early imo.. focus should have been on releasing the squids and weapon mods.. and they should've waited to release this DSS space station until clans and group systems are ready and we better be able to explore the station!

I don’t like it, the fun part of this game is killing the enemy, whether with weapons or with stratagems. There’s a skill factor in throwing stratagems, and you decide when and where to throw them. This bombardments is stupid. It targets nothing, delays what you’re trying to do and removes the fun factor. Big fat thumbs down.
