The community developing around this game is right up there with Deep Rock Galactic's as one of the most welcoming and fun-natured I've experienced in a game. I have two friends who are cool guy DJs at mega hip nightclubs in NYC, full of hot girls and free drugs. Yup. Had some guy die. After dropping the beacon to bring him back I'm crouched and clearing a cluster of soldiers and little ones heading our way. He decided to run in front of the barrel and instantly die. When I respawned him again he immediately killed me the second he had the chance. So I left the match.

I've had some many people drop the 390 HE barrage while we're defending for extraction. They don't drop it way out either. They throw it down on the edge of the base even though the description clearly states it covers an enormous area. Had a number of failed extractions due to that. It's also funny to watch people run towards red lasers as if they don't know it's a bomb or orbital strike incoming. Can't tell you how many times my 500 bomb has practically landed on top of their head. It's to the point now where I rock the armor for 30% increased throwing distance so I can purposefully throw it way ahead of their asses and avoid mayhem.

Don't make the mistake I did when playing with family. Him and a friend where messing around I got bored and told them I was just going leave them on the planet. As I was running I thought to myself 'what if he's lining up a shot on me right now?' then I exploded. My bother had shot me with the auto cannon I had given him and I couldn't be mad at him. Funnier still when he found out he couldn't clip it because Metal doesn't work with Helldiver's 2

The DDR pad while it seems cool, is definitely slower than just using the keyboard / controller. Rebind it off of WASD on keyboard to the arrow keys and you can still move while using them as per usual. Doesn't really matter much if your hand is off the mouse during because you cant shoot at the time anyway.
