​@@FullBakedHoboI was going to throw a 500KG, but one of the randoms threw a gas strike in front of me. I tried diving away from the gas but couldn't get far enough. The 500KG stratagem dropped automatically where I died and it landed right on me.

@@FullBakedHobobecause gas strike slows you down, just like Bile Titan spit does. He couldn’t run away. I also think there was an EMS strike at the location too because of the electrical effects in the air. Edit: yes, there was an EMS mortar bombarding the area. XD

Got some news from testing the new mech! It is somewhat effective in killing the bots on dropships. SES spear of superearth has yet to test the exo-49 on terminid planets

that money clip makes no sense. only $9,000 for a 500KG bomb and like $100,000 for the laser. in reality the 500KG would be like $250,000 each and the laser would cost literally a few dollars

Nah, the amount of energy alone to fire that laser would be colossal, probably many megawatts so a dozen to hundreds of millions bucks generator if it is to fit inside the destroyer. And to top it off, lasers are absolutely terrible long-range weapons so the optics to focus one from low orbit and through atmosphere would probably be in the hundreds of millions easy and burn out every time it is fired because of the sheer raw amount of power going through such fragile optics. so yeah, anywhere from a few tens of millions $ to several hundred millions every time it is fired. It's the railgun that would cost peanuts, like maybe 1500$ for the slug and a few dozens in power.

​@@nopenope8418 the US army is currently testing laser weapons and the most powerful laser that they have on ships that's supposedly capable of destroying missiles mid air only cost a couple of dollar for every minute it fires. at least thats what i heard

@@cru3her608 yeah, except that laser is in the low kilowatts if I remember correctly, it is at the upper limit of what material science allows for now without burning the laser emitter on that scale, has a very limited range and deal very little damage over a burst of a split second (just enough to disable the missile). Firing down from low orbit and for a sustained 10 seconds with enough power to fry a tank is orders of magnitude more costly in power (dispersion in atmosphere+loss of focus) and in hardware (lenses capable of focusing a ~15cm MW Laser from kilometers). However, once it is all acquired and you have some kind of fusion powerplant, yeah it would be a few hundred bucks maybe? It's all dependent on the industrial infrastructure and how high-tech it is compared to the average factory. Nice point you brought I like it!

Wait, it's a bug to take both mechs? I been running 3 mechs, orbital laser and auto cannon sentry for fun. Also, the new Emancipator mech seems to deal larger AOE but less damage than autocannon sentry (just my guess) and it can't aim low like the mini gun on the patriots.

Yeah because any lower you'd risk damaging yourself. It is a failsafe, but then you'd have to rely on trampling small bugs via melee attack.

It does deal less damage than the AC sentry, but has the same armour pen. Against titans it's only doing a fifth of the sentry's damage per shot, takes longer to kill chargers too.

Saw one tweet complaining about the mech not being that good, cuz yeah, it's not the best against titans or chargers, but it do feel fun to just unload on them (have yet to use it on bots, who I think it'd be better for)

God I wish I recorded my gameplay, was in a mission where I had to load in a hard drive. Went to throw the hard drive strat on an empty space. There was a dead bug next to me on one side and a wall on the other side of me. I threw the strat, the strat bounced off the dead bug, it then bounced off the wall and hit a guy behind me. We both watched it bounce around before landing on the guy's head.
