I had to block Cloud Plays. He's by far the worst clickbait Helldivers 2 channel I've seen. I saw Cloud Plays make 3 videos in 1 day, they all had sponsors and were over 10 minutes of fluff from reddit. I think people are starting to realize this though because his views have been a lot lower recently.

Honestly my biggest gripe with helldivers youtubers isn't the clickbait or the yapping, its the sheer amount of them using shit looking AI art for their thumbnails. Like there are so many screenshots and pieces of actual art for this game, a 2 second copy paste from google images is all you gotta do.

i don’t even have a beef with ai art, just friggin use it right. use it to come up with scenarios or setup up compositions if you’re not an artist (as someone who went to art school 20 years ago, i think a lot of kids are misguided in their hatred of ai tools... but that’s a different topic), but don’t just use it to put random dudes in sci fi armor in the thumbnails. at least make them look like they’d belong in the game. it’s like these guys type one thing into the prompt, and just use whatever pops up. it’s just lazy

He runs it in safe mode (which you'd know if you actually watched the video to determine if it's clickbait), and I would bet money that a substantial majority of players do so as well because it's easy/lazy/comfortable. Not everybody cares if it's optimal and it's fine for other people to value comfort and ease of use. The AP changes made it more viable in safe mode which is a boon to a huge amount of players, but you have tunnel vision as to whether it's better for YOU. And I really don't know why you're so hung up on how bad it is against the heaviest units. There are plenty of supports that don't take down heavies well.. because they fill different roles. I've watched plenty of your content and I know I don't have to explain to you that no support weapon is a swiss army knife. There's nothing wrong with bringing a primary for chaff, railgun for devastators/striders/hulks, and eagles/orbitals for heavies.

Woke up like that 50 cent meme when floyd mayweather dissed him "Wtf he say fk me for?" Anyways, in regards to the railgun; I used to use the railgun 24/7, and i used to use it strictly on SAFE mode. Never unsafe, i much preferred the safe mode for many reasons, after the nerf they dragged the armor pen of it down to 4 AP which would only damage medium armored units, such as hive guards, and devastators (not their shields). But safe mode no longer could deal with hulks, shields, front plates on striders. After the most recent buff, theyve since buffed the armor penetration to 5, meaning it now can penetrate heavy armors again, that means, one shotting hulks, penetrating front plates of striders, and hitting shielded devastators weakspots through their shields. The small switch from medium to heavy armor pen transformed safe mode into a far stronger weapon. Unsafe mode users may have not felt a difference, but safe mode users got a big change. Maybe that wouldve been made more obvious if i stated safe mode in the title, but that didnt even cross my mind. My titles arent so much an attempt to clickbait, specially as most my videos are 40+ minutes, if i clickbait hard the viewer will click off and a 40 min video with a tiny retention rate will die off very quick. The titles are more a representation of what i think about said subject, sometimes i may be over excited, or over estimating something, but its not to bait my viewers, i want to build a healthy relationship with my viewers and i cAnt do that by baiting to them, clickbaiting only works in the short term, but loses the viewers trust. I dont really want to do that. Also in regards to the choosing of the planets, i dont quite pick my planets as much as youd think, the only exception being, ill admit to having lost a few recordings to armored bile spewers worlds. Those are absolute hell. But you can break 1k kills with any planet types as long as you manipulate patrol rates with objectives and nests, not that 1k kills is relevant at all, i just do it cause i like to kill stuff ingame and some of my viewers prefer high kill games

It's pretty silly to be honest. He only had major beef with the Railgun thing which is a singular example, and then moved to the "best" everything spammer and rated him better. Even by his own standards y'all should have been switched. But let's be real. He himself admitted that he doesn't actually watch your videos. You do attain the kills in your titles, and whether that's not optimal or not (to which you always explicitly state that it isn't a good idea) it isn't clickbait. As you stated with the Railgun, it did have a significant change to safe mode which is a huge quality of life improvement. It's important to remember that even within the same weapon usage, people play the game differently and taking the easy/lazy/safe option is extremely common so I think your take is completely valid. At the end of the day, the people who actually watch your videos know that you don't clickbait any more than every successful youtuber should (and you should as long as it's not egregious because that's a necessary part of getting people to click). Every single video I've watched has contained content that matches what I expected to see based on the title and thumbnail. And this really isn't any hate against Dough. I like both of you quite a lot as content creators. I think he just got tunnel vision about the Railgun thing.

i like takibo but i agree/think that he flops a bit when it comes to the Railgun and some other weapon reviews. I dont think he does clickbait so far besides the recent railgun thing; but i would chalk that up to the fact that he seems to be way too overly positive about stuff to a point where it feels like he isnt capable of actually seeing and weighing the downsides and having a realistic look at things. The Railgun is terrible right now, dont get me wrong its not unusable or anything like that; but when you take into account that it takes up a support slot of which nearly every other weapon in that category is eons better, it is fucking woefully terrible. Even pre-nerf railgun doesnt justify a support weapon slot especially when you take into account that the only thing that actually made it "OP" was literally a bug and not intended. It should be fully reverted back to initial release specs and then be put into the Energy Weapon category of Primary weapons and be left at that. Arrowhead made a terrible knee-jerk nerf, refuses to admit it and then made everything literally better than the Railgun EVER was. Move the Railgun to the Primary pool under Energy Weapons, buff the weakspot damage enough that 5~ shots can kill a tank/turret on safe mode to the radiator and leave it there. Then add a "Heavy Railgun" thats shoulder fired and requires a powerpack as a Support weapon, make it literally just be a faster firing Quasar with a scope and let that be what the Railgun shouldve been. Otherwise the Railgun needs to be able to penetrate tanks frontally and deal enough damage to kill them in 7 fully charged shots frontally, as well as about the same for a Bile titan for it to even approach being worthy of a Support slot. Its no where near being a "beast" like Takibo claims, i chalk that up to him being overly positive. I have purposely being using it against bots AND bugs and its more of just a decent DMR or shitty DMR if you consider the lack of any zoom. It shines most with bots but mainly just as a decent solution to the Heavy and Rocket Devastator spam, of which you need precise fully charged shots to even deal with a Heavy Devastator, occasionally if the game decides the hitbox will work, it is also a good clutch Hulk deleter. Thats it though, its fucking useless against most of the more prominent Heavy units and even side objective units. In bugs im pretty sure it outright cant kill a Bile Titan anymore, if it can its not reasonable. I got 10 fully charged headshots on one and i gave up because it didnt seem to be doing anything. If it takes half of your ammo, + charge up time for each which also puts you at risk of blowing yourself up (which no other weapon does), along with 0 stagger so every time you shoot you are entirely losing ground even when you do hit and you dont even get any hit feedback to KNOW if you hit, while nearly every other anti-heavy weapon can do that without all those downsides; its a shit support weapon. If its not for Anti-Armor, and it cant deal with hordes, all its doing is wasting a support slot when it should be taking up a primary slot. I also firmly believe the Stalwart should be a primary as well with reduced mag size or reserve mags, but atleast currently as a Support weapon it DOES have something it is good at, and thats crowd control. RIght now nearly everything the Railgun is good at, the Scorcher can do better with more ammo and easier and safer handling without taking up a support slot. Why not just bring a Scorcher instead of the Railgun and equip an anti tank weapon in place of the Railgun since thats all the Scorcher cant handle??

@OhDough You're missing my point with the first part of your comment. I watched your video on the railgun, I know it sucks. When takibo posted his video he didn't do a breakdown on it. It was just his first impressions on the buffed weapon, which he had a lot of fun with, hence the title. If you watch his video he does indeed kick ass with the railgun, so the title is not misleading. If it were a weapon breakdown and he clearly demonstrates how much the railgun sucks against striders and whatever else then you could maybe make an argument for clickbait. As it stands though he literally just got the gun, tried it, kicked ass with it, and posted a title that reflects the gameplay. Would you consider it less clickbait if he titled it "the buffed railgun is absolute trash" instead? Does he need to do a weapon breakdown before he's allowed to post a title with his thoughts on the weapon without it being considered clickbait? Or can you just not express your opinion on a weapon at all without being clickbait. You could make a case for the thumbnail with him saying "it one shots hulks" is clickbait since it kinda implies you couldn't before (though he's talking about safe mode im pretty), so I'll give you that, but the other video really doesn't make sense. He has a ton of other videos where he compliments or insults a weapon in the title, but you fixated on the railgun one because it's the one you obviously disagree with. Is the video calling the Blitzer good also clickbait? What about the one calling the crossbow bad? They're basically the same shit as the railgun one, except you agree with his opinion. Also, I can't remember exactly who the other person was, but one of your criticisms for another youtuber was the fact that he called the senator "really good" or something like that. Like yeah most of his high kill games are on the planet where you tend to get a lot of kills. Where does he ever say otherwise? Is it less clickbait to get 1000+ kills on a planet without pouncers? Multiple times he specifically says he likes those planets because it's easier to get high kills. Yet he still has to play hyper aggressive on these planets to get his kill counts. It wasn't just that he disagreed with the railgun vid, he also criticized him having fun and killing bugs for videos and then COPIED that content for himself lol. You'll often see dough defending himself against comments in videos where he gets the final word, just another sign of his insecurity popping up. the ps debacle only got resolved because of everyone making a ruckus. I think highly of takibo as a player and creator which is why clickbait is even less ideal. it's far from the end of the world but I'm fairly certain the devs watch solo diver content and if they see that and say "oh hey, railgun is good I guess" we don't get more improvements to railgun or other weapons.

So basically this list has two categories, extreme clickbait or minimal, one or two here and there. There was really no inbetween, Takibo literally says in the videos that he goes to pouncer planets for killstreaks and shoots at patrols because he likes getting the killcount up. No more clickbait than yourself or thickfilla. Arguably the content of the channels makes takibos clickbait the least impactful and the commentary content channels more impacted by bait. Little bit of an L take brother but I respect the content grind regardless. I do love your videos that come out about testing weapons on enemies and look forward to more gameplay related content.

Go easy on Takibo though. He is actually just pumping out gameplay for the most part, and yeah we all know what he is doing. As you say hunter planets for Terminids and on the rare bots mission it is, SEAF SAM Launcher, Research Base, Radar Station, Detector Tower, and Illegal Broadcast. In the real world, we are getting two Strategem Jammers each with a Gunship Facility within 150 meters, and our first bot drop is a double, with 1x1 Factory Strider and 1x3 Hulk Scorcher.

I would 100% disagree with Takibo being a click baiter, his video titles actually line up with his style of play. If you choose to use the weapons he recommends and play like he does, it is highly effective. He also didnt make four videos on the Sony debacle, which is arguably the most click baiting topic the game has had to date.

Takibo should be put at the bottom of C. I honestly think that it's just your opinion is why he was placed up in A. If you watch his content, even if his claims might be different than yours, he shows his gameplay and talks about what he likes about the weapon. He does use clickbait relatively rarely, but not to the degree that anyone else on this list does. (Clickbait or not, quality is what I assume most of us look for in gameplay and guide/opinion videos. As long as their content is engaging and coherent, I will view their clickbait videos.)
