We have lost a lot of previous battles but we won a lot also. We took a lot of Ls today but we have a lot to fall back on. We have the Avengers. Kingpin. Spider-Man. Destiny and Manifold. What a lot of people may actually be forgetting is that Wanda created a magical back up for mutants in Trail of Magneto hopefully that gets brought up or mentioned. I mean it allowed for any mutant that has died in the Past, Present, and Future to be brought back at any point in time

Its been some stumbles but the overall quality of X-men comics since Hickman has managed to stay in the 7-10 range for the most part w/ this still delivering fun highs and further speculation while the soap opera continues. I wish they could manage artist styles better though. Keep things more uniform at least for big books. You have to wonder how much they are cutting corners that they can't keep a certain type of quality for big event issues at least. Kind of brings down some of the amazing moments in the overall issue.

It's become kind of comical. They've been doing this for how long 60 years. Back in the '60s and '70s she'd get that headed or pass out. That when she was Phoenix they didn't know what to do with her so they made her evil because she basically made the X-Men obsolete. I wish they could just keep her powerful because the enemies have become so powerful. She's my favorite character and right now she's being dragged around by Mother righteousness like a dog. I'd like to see your bond with the Phoenix Force and stay that way. I didn't like this issue I didn't think it was great I thought it was convoluted and stupid

A Bit More is a understatement. The writers dropped the ball on that particular aspect. Wolverine should have been jean’s personal security. They should have had a rotation of peoples with flying abilities Surveying the island. And this last one I speak of should have been done once they confirmed NIMROD was back online… A.I. / Robot detectors…

Um, I'm not trying to be funny, but why couldn't Xavier and telepaths broadcast the events live to the world so humans can see Orchis actions and reasons live. Sure, some may still not believe, but the majority would be like no, we saw it, heard Orchis talk of killing and sickening humans. Jean was on it big time, A+++! Wish Exodus was more than just there since he's been becoming more prominent. I'm nervous because the Storm mention was basically "We need Storm's protection and assault power," but she wasn't available. So we'll have to hear all the gaslighting she'll face for not being everywhere and everything to everyone at once. Loved seeing Rogue in some action in big event, feel like she's been on backburner lately. Mother Righteous is definitely going to come back and be "Savior" again shes definitely up to something to destroy other two Sinster and ascend. Overall exciting but I feel like so much was avoidable. Mutants will struggle to forgive Professor X for this. He forced everyone through and even if manifold saves them, they'll remember. Jean used her mind to protect, he so easily and quickly used he's to take away their will without second thought.

@LarryDWilmore79 Storm's always distracted, Jean's either dead or distracted or just not written in story, Exodus is always kinda just existing in background with occasional battle stuff, Iceman is usually just not included. Kid Omega is written out Wanda is either hand waved out of existence, distracted or not written about, Magneto is usually distracted or dead now. This war/battle lowkey could be over with any of them unleashing their true power. Instead of just giving powerful foes or dampening powers to a degree, they just don't get included. At this point, mutants need to move back to Earth or to Mars, Krakoa and Arrako be neighbors. Storm and Omegas live in the middle. Give them space adversaries and adventure, Deities and Magical enemies, Alien civilization to fight, other dimension threats. I'm excited for XMR atleast it seems Storm and Genesis will actually be going to war for multiple issues no near resolution until XMR 16/17 atleast

I was happy to see Lourdes have a big moment but sad to see her die and not be apart of event. Firestarter being a plant by Jean is cool story. Overall very exciting and hopeful. Plus XMR 14/15 we will probably get rage filled Storm, which I'm here for! Plus return of papa Apocalypse and likelihood he will take on Nimrod again, I'm looking forward to it!

I'd like to see Apocalypse do something to his celestial armor and someone like Forge help him too to make it better and make Nimrod a scrap metal 🤣.I remember watching deathbattle do Apocalypse vs Black Adam where they showed some kind of a triangled shape device which Apocalyse gained somehow which made him undestructable and unkillable i belive .And knowing what the celestial armor of his can do ,should be gg , ez , well played for Apocalypse . If i remember correctly he was good at manipulating technology ,link to it and he is smart in that department too . He could probably take out a chunk out of Nimrod when he separates himself to make duplicates ( like one that time he faced Apocalypse cloning himself 4 times to take him out finally) and integrate Nimrod technology into himself if he manages to disable it and escape alive .I feel like they keep my man depowered .

Beast was Right all along! I do suspect Manifold managed to teleport all the mutants that went into the Krakoan gates seemingly to their slaughter. That's why Destiny had Rogue save Manifold and why ORCHIS wanted to capture/kill Manifold before they attacked Krakoa. There can be no peaceful co-existence between ORCHIS and the mutants. When the remaining mutants regroup, they need to work on exterminating ORCHIS with extreme prejudice, wiping them off the planet. No more playing "nice" with ORCHIS. This was the Red Wedding version of Game of Thrones happening to the mutants. The mutants need to exterminate the grannies of Hordiculture as well for allowing ORCHIS to use the gates.

I'm sure we will see Hank surface when the remaining mutants need him the most. The surviving mutants need to learn to be as ruthless and bloodthirsty as the Beast if they want to effectively destroy ORCHIS. Jean Grey was WRONG - love/compassion won't stop ORCHIS.

The avengers and other teams would just come up and try to stop them. If they win would be another discussion. Honestly the whole problem with beast is that he was turning into what his appearance made him out to be, a monster. While he’s doing good and he’s doing it for the right reasons it doesn’t mean his actions are right. Because if someone was to do that to the mutants would it be fair? You forgot to mention that Kitty can tresspass trough the gates now,whatever orchis did to the portals Kitty now can use them,and even strike Orchis on the places where they took over as we see some of the covers ,she's wearing ninja clothes . Quite the issue ,feel bad for Jubilee and Dazzler getting ripped . Moira is not finished ,they will rebuild her ,even Kingpin helped out by killing one of the orchis soldier who was aiming on the mutant teleporter who teleported those who resisted Charles's telepathy .

I was excited, but I couldn't help but start picking apart the many ways they could've escaped this situation. I'm stunned that they still had such lax security even after all this time, despite knowing the gates could be hacked and that people have gotten past Krakoa's normal detection several times. They were aware of the development of the new Sentinels, yet they didn't take proper precautions (aside from that one time they tried to destroy a Sentinel Factory). The Quiet Council should've stepped down sooner. Like gosh darn it Charles, this is why you can't have nice things.

Jean's death really didn't bother me...been there, done that. I really wanted to see the new team in action. I see Storm coming in like an avenging angel. I need the mutants to go full omega mode and lay waste. The Firestar stuff is interesting. Overall 8.5/10. I wanna see how Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau (also a mutant now) will play into this.

This is the day I’ve been dreading. Does this mean the whole Krakoa era is over? A lifetimes of loving X-Men was renewed by Jonathan Hickman. When the mutants terraformed mars at the first gala I was filled with awe and pride for the mutants as if I was one myself. To see it all fall so hard and so fast really fills me with genuine sadness. Pour one out for the mutant nation of Krakoa and the X-Men. 😢

It all fell because all of the writers refused to move on from Krakoa, so Hickman left and went to substack. The people who are currently writing these books is who you should be mad at if you like what Hickman did. It was a 3 phase plan, and because of selfish writers not wanting to leave the sandbox, we're still stuck on phase one when we should be on the last phase. Hickman even admitted as diplomatically as possible that that's what happened.

I absolutely agree with you about Mz Marvel 100% and I see nothing special about her as a character either. Now, I thought Jean and Bobby were able to resurrect themselves, which I feel like every Omega-Level should be able to do automatically and still isn’t the special place created by Wanda still there? It’s when Storm finds out about Jean is when…hold on…I haven’t been keeping up with the chronological order but didn’t Storm ban Prof X from Arakko already… so where will he go or maybe since she’s distracted he just might can go. Since Msgneto is gone is Joseph considered the Omega-Level Mutant of magnetism now and will Xavier and Ororo except him into the Mutant Community like they once did or did something change somewhere? Storm might be the only Omega-Level Mutant left from Earth but Arakko is full of Omega-Level Mutants. Marvel still refuse to let Storm and Jean reunite in friendship…it would be beyond everything if those two would join in a battle against Nimrod…hell Jean, Ororo and Wanda but I guess it’ll have to Ororo and Wanda or maybe Marvel will write Mz Marvel as an Inhuman/Mutant/Shi’ar/Kree/Skrull/Asgard God or something and just reset everything since Maura is dead again

How the hell could Nimrod defeat Iceman? The guy is powerful enough to beat Thor. He can increase his size, reform, and clone himself, but he forgot this during his fight. How could he even defeat the Juggernaut? Although only half-powered, Cain should still be stronger than Nimrod.

What really bugs me about Fall of X Hellfire Gala is that Orchis could suddenly just DO things that logically and storywise, they should not be ABLE to do. 1. Tampering with the gates and changing their functions. How do you hack an organism? 2. Nimrod physically defeating the Juggernaut. I don't care how strong Nimord's technology is, or his artificial body is, Juggernaut has Marvel-god-level power. 3. Xavier is the most powerful mutant telepath (except maybe for Jean). But Orchis just has helmets that can block him. Very poor storytelling. 4. The X books have always played fast and loose with numbers. Somehow millions of mutants were walked through gates in a couple of pages? This would take much longer. 5. Another storytelling flaw: Having Xavier surrender and acquiesce to demands again, only for the enemy to still do what they threatened him with. This same thing happened when he and Magneto battled Nimrod at the end of Inferno. Very lazy to do that again.

For the story, Bobby had to be taken out. It would have made more sense for him to send a copy of himself against mutant killing Nimrod (best battle tactic is distance with that adversary). The challenges are good, and I feel the biggest confrontation is the state of the mutants and Xavier’s original dream of co-existence. The separation and isolation has allowed this devastating attack on Kroaka. My main point of contention with this storyline is Moira, both her power set and motivation. Why does she hate the mutants so much again- cause the writing has not helped me understand that plot point at all.

@@Luciusthestorms it shouldn’t have worked in the first place, Bobby is not dependent on his body to exist, as he can make any moisture his body, replacing anything he loses. He came back from being shattered and literally rebuilt himself from a guys body fluids when nothing else was available. He can come back from complete evaporation, but ‘cellular napalm’? Seriously, remove the portion with it in, rebuild your body from the moisture everywhere else, there is no reason this would work other then, they want the kill.

I gotta say the panel of Nimrod dragging Juggernaut with his head smashed in was just crazy..just a testament of the strength of Nimrod.. I gotta say Nimrod is the only character that kinda scares me but this was an incredible issue.. I can’t wait to see where this leads.. Great video bro..!!

In SoS in one of the panels he bodied Namor and he was unconcious in his arm.Its also not the first time Nimrod defeating Juggernaut in comics .I rememer watching BannerTheIncredibleHulk make a video about Juggernaut receiving a punch from Nimrod which sended him flying and he compared that punch to hurt like being punched by the hulk.It was a comic issue from the 90's if i'm not mistaken.

I hope this isn’t the end for Krakoa. This has been the best X-men story since the 90’s. The X-men were finally on top after years of being beaten down. It was tough seeing all the X-men get obliterated by Nimrod. It was satisfying to see Moira ripped apart by rogue though. I know she’ll be back, but her getting a good thrashing has been a long time coming.

I guess we haven’t been reading the same comics. X-Men has been pretty bad for years. The X-Men had a solid advancement when they moved to Utopia and Cyclops became the main leader of the mutant people with Wolverine as a respected friend and Magneto as a loyal ally. That was their chance to go down that plot line and they ruined it with AvX. On Krakoa they did a lot of very foolish things like inviting evil to live with them. Most of the writing choices have not been true to characters or natural story progression but just for headlines or activism.

Dark phoenix is the phoenix unbound, so any adventure that is ‘just her’ will be her trying to contain it followed by others trying to stop her from destroying the universe, followed by her rejecting the phoenix, again, or dying.

@@Dyoni1 where did you even get that information? That’s not what the Phoenix’s role in the universe is. It’s literally the spark of life and creation and protector of cosmic balance. The Dark Phoenix was a result of the Phoenix being corrupted by human emotions (Jean’s emotions) and the events that took place during the Hellfire Club’s attempt to mind control the Phoenix. Which after it was retconned that Jean was asleep at the bottom of Jamaica Bay while the Phoenix created a double of her so her physical form could heal. Jean was never corrupted by the Phoenix, it was the other way around. And when we saw them merge again during Phoenix Endsong she became the White Phoenix of Crown and both her and the Phoenix were in perfect harmony. The only way the Phoenix becomes corrupted is by its host.

@@audacityofyouth7051 the phoenix is the embodiment of the Big Bang, it is the cycle of death and rebirth, however that means it’s a force of destruction, it is destined to burn down the universe so a new one can arise, that is it’s nature, death and rebirth, it wants Jean because she is the “perfect host” which is why it keeps resurrecting her, but it has taken plenty of other hosts to see how they are affected, you can claim the phoenix ‘was corrupted by emotion’ but the fact that every host it takes becomes destructive regardless of their personality or the number of times it does this, which is a lot, should be a clue that the cosmic entity as old as time has more effect on the host on it is inhabiting that the host has on it. It’s one of the reason Jean strait up told the enormity it had to stop seeking her as a host, she recognizes that it is destructive by nature, not evil, simply a force of nature that no more chooses to be destructive that a hurricane or a forest fire, it just is destructive because that is what it is.

I think this is just the beginning of the fall and not the end of it, so it's going to get worse before it begins to get better. Although, things aren't as bad as they seem at this point. Magneto, Storm, X-Force and the Children of the vault, haven't been put on the board yet. Magneto isn't dead anymore his return was shown in Scarlet Witch #5. Talon saved Sync but the rest of the team introduced this year are gone so another team will be made to take it's place
