When my grandma was in the hospital, as she was slowly passing away, my dad and brother were staying with her overnight. Both my dad and brother were suddenly woken up by my grandma moaning in pain and horror when she suddenly sat up and exclaimed, “the gates of hell have opened to me!” My dad tried to get her to become coherent again and, when she came out of it, grandma vehemently denied anything happening. However, she talked to my dad over the next few days almost nonstop about what it means to give your life to Jesus. She dedicated her life to Him, repented of her sins, and passed away a few days later. That experience almost certainly saved her soul (and woke my bother up to the reality of heaven and hell).

@@brettrobinson2901 Per the first question, this is why Paul says "behold NOW is the accepted time, NOW is the day of salvation" which simply means DO NOT PUT IT OFF. While there was a season of grace on my life to repent, I had no guarantee I'd live long enough to receive Christ as savior and Lord. In my case thank God I did. Paul addresses the second question in Romans 2 (Amplified version); "When Gentiles, who do not have the Law [since it was given only to Jews], do instinctively the things the Law requires [guided only by their conscience], they are a law to themselves, though they do not have the Law. They show that the essential requirements of the Law are written in their hearts; and their conscience [their sense of right and wrong, their moral choices] bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or perhaps defending them on that day when, as my gospel proclaims, God will judge the secrets [all the hidden thoughts and concealed sins of men through Christ Jesus". In short, all of us are accountable to what we know not for what we didn't know. For those who lived in a remote part of the world and never heard the Gospel, God will deal with them justly.

Finally, I was sent by my MD to a Christian counselor who helped me identify my victim mentality and lack of forgiveness toward someone. After praying through these issues, I had the next vivid "dream" in which I was empowered, through the blood of Jesus, to actually confront satan/demonic being, expose it and demand he/it leave! Since then, I have learned to grow in doing "spiritual warfare" (studying and applying Biblical principals, such as Ephesians 6), not just for myself, but for others. I never seek out any contact with evil, but when confronted, the victory is ours through Jesus Christ. Thank you, Steve, for writing this book! We love & pray for you and your family.

(Which sometimes give me grief with my VERY Catholic mother-in-law - though my wife had left Catholicism before we met) Surprisingly a lot of my prayers are aloud while out walking her dog but then while there's nothing wrong with praying "in the closet" it's turned out to be an extended time alone where I can pour out my heart to God without interruption. After the most traumatic time of my life I had a dream I still recall though I have to grasp at its original impact. I dreamed being at a large arch-like entry to a cave. Lighting was very dim and sky cloudy dark gray. More than any audio visual emphasis was a feeling never close to reproducing in waking life. I felt so lost and disconnected from everything I'd ever known and a profound grief beyond any comparison. When I first tried to describe this dream to my wife, in an attempt to convey the despair all I could say was "I was so, so lost." Nothing scary, I was spared that, but think I'd tasted eternal separation from God. And rarely very rarely do I remember dreams. I was 49 then and now 67. So far that was the dream of my life, that utter lostness and grief never reproduced again praise God who's blessed forever.

So I’m watching this and a quarter of the way through I start thinking about when I had a hellish experience after an extreme overdose with kief. I will not go over the whole experience bottom line is as I was watching this program I looked down at my watch and it said 420. It seems and sounds benign, but 420 is the representation of when you’re supposed to light up every day with marijuana. Kief is pure THC from the plant. What I’m saying is this is how God talks to all of us. God was reminding me that Marajuana is not part of the pathway to salvation, in fact this is where it leads to, hence my hellish experience and going to hell. There are no coincidences. The Lord is always speaking to us, loving us, and yes correcting us. God is good!

This comment is kind of saddening… you are giving the impression marijuana leads people to hell, in reality it helps many people from acting on horrible actions. If marijuana is not going to help you spiritually ofc you will get paranoid and make you feel bad, if you do need it to calm down or relive pain then you will tend to have a better experience, even if that horrible paranoid feelings keeps you going out and harming others. It’s a great tool, people with cancer use it to help them get an appetite. Marijuana is not bad for everyone, it’s not great in some people because it causes stagnation. However… it is not evil, it is such an amazing tool for certain health issues and to get someone out of a strict linear way of thinking. I quit smoking it many years ago. I was a daily smoker 3blutns and apple joints plus boles, I was a heavy smoker. I quit for nearly 10 years.. however with all the pain I have in my body I will smoke a one hitter before going to bed maybe once a month or so. Weed, isn’t a bad thing, but just like anything it can be good or bad… many people actually grow out of it. Where once it was calming and enjoyable it will make people become paranoid. Mostly due imo to having more responsibilities as we get older or it served its spiritual purpose. People have used marijuana for centuries to help with medical issues and religious/ spiritual practices.

The person would call out that she needed the people in her room to leave her room. On answering request, I had to pretend I had told the persons in her room to leave. Some would acknowledge the presence of their loved ones speaking with them. You could tell that the patient was in some conversation with someone. @allhopeabandon78314 ай бұрын
@user-kp9fz1jp9i So, I do not agree with your atheism, I do believe in something very similar to your belief of the dying process, the only caveat being, that I believe that time stops, in the dying brain, and this is what the afterlife consists of. I was knocked unconscious (at a Christian camp of all places, right) when I was 11. I had a very long (45 minute or so) dream while I was unconscious...when I came to, I was under the impression that I was out for 45 minutes, but everyone, including the councilor who saw me get clotheslined and hit my head, assured me that I was only on the ground for a couple seconds, then sat up. If I can experience 45 minutes of a dream (albeit a kid's dream, with no Christian significance whatsoever...I did not see Jesus, did not talk to God, but then, I wasn't dead, just knocked out) in a couple seconds, then why not a year? A decade? Millenia, or, Billions of years? The difference between your belief, and mine, is that you believe that after the 'nothingness' that existed, bf the Big Bang, decided without intelligence that it was going to become a 30B lightyear phenomenon, that it was going to file itself into neat laws of physics, create stars, that would in turn, create planets with elements, that the Earth would be included in that group, but it would have a moon 1/6 it's size that would create tides (and that would be exactly the right distance away from Earth to show us a spectacle every few years, a sign, if you will, that someone placed it in that position, or knew it would be there when we were here). We have an internal magneto, which coincidentally protects the life, that, against all scientific theory, sprang into being just as Mendeleev postulated, tho modern science does not believe, but they also do, in abiogenesis, from solar, wind...then there's Biological design, DNA, ethics, art, etc...which you believe is thanks to myriad chance and lucky coincidences, where I believe it was designed by intelligence...but I digress... I believe that existence is to 'become' who we are, and that the reason that no NDE is the same, is bc we all have an eternal lucid dream as our afterlife. It really is the only way for each individual to be in paradise, and what greater gift from a creator than to live in an eternal state within one's own mind. I don't have it all figured out, but if time dilation is a thing, then why not when we are dying? All it would take would be a millisecond of the brain knowing that deaths here, to half the millisecond, and half that, and half that, for eternity... Your atheist stance is being rejected by more and more micro biologists, as they learn more and more about life. Life has never been created in a lab, and it never will, bc only God can create life. It astounds me that someone can look around at the Earth, or into the night sky, and think that it all came from nothing, that it means nothing, that we began as a single cell in a mud puddle of primordial soup, when the serious biologists are coming to a common consensus: Intelligent Design...

in later times god says your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams ( acts 2:14 ).whatever experience you have, make sure that it matchs up to the word of God. @stevemiller63684 ай бұрын
Yes, we should test everything, using discernment. Some NDEs may be simply general revelation in that a person comes to realize there's more to this life than this physical world, since many NDEs may contain only certain elements, such as leaving the body and visiting briefly with a deceased relative or angel. For many, this causes them to seek further, and if they truly seek, Jesus said they'll eventually find. So I do think that even those that don't contain Jesus can be legitimate. Think of it like the incredible organized complexity of the universe. For many, that's a starting point on their spiritual journey.

AMEN. I’ve heard several say many of the things we hear from those who experienced ‘the real deal’ - like the feeling of overwhelming love and peace, the beautiful light, and even a few (supposed) relatives. I wonder if perhaps they’re brought back *before* the experience gets too deep or goes on for long…and then those poor people are swayed toward New Age type things, or just the belief that ‘the afterlife’ will be wonderful for pretty much everyone - so there’s no need for a Savior, sadly they don’t have a desire for Christ or anything like that and as you said, they go on to deceive others, pointing them in the *wrong* direction…it’s heartbreaking to hear them speak about it - demons successfully ‘masquerading as angels of light’💔

I have listened to probably 100 NDE’s of people who went to Hell. It is UNCANNY how absolutely similar they all are in that they ALL say They felt more alive than here on Earth, they say being alive here is more like a dream compared They say there are tons of “Fair-Weathered” Christmas there They all say that because they understand differently there, they believe and know they belong there They say people are torchered according to their sin. For instance a pedophile will be forced to do what he did on earth but it’s for eternity and he is in agony having to do this. They all say it smells like rot and sulfur They say the demons look reptilian They ALL say that the demons rip off a persons skin and take them down to a skeleton and then they regenerate to start all over again. They say they are exhausted and want just a drop of water and can’t get it and they want to rest but can’t for eternity. They all say they have zero energy because that is from God too All because people reject God. Jesus is our Savior. He has pulled every person out of that place who we’re blessed enough to be here telling us their account. They say they feel pain on a whole different level and it’s all encompassing. They ALL say there is no hope and that the worst part of Hell is that they will never be with God EVER! Remember ! God IS LIGHT LOVE PEACE LAUGHTER JOY COMFORT SLEEP ETC ETC

@@Yerpompous I listen to NDEs daily.. sometimes several times a day. I'm 68 & will have a DNR...if I go, dance in my grave!!! There are so MANY COMMON N DENOMINATORS among thousands of NDEs...but they come from every nation, every race, every age, every walk of life, every professional, every gender old or young, beautiful, ugly, Christians or sinners...there is no boundary on WHO these testimonies come from...AND YET, they are CONSISTENT. Shall I have doubts??? God forbid...I BELIEVE!!!!! Eye hath not seen what He has prepared for those who love Him!!!! Here are many of the common things I hear in all of these NDEs #1). Initially, they are out of body & often don't know they passed. #2) there's always communication..always TELEPATHICALLY..no speaking #3) THEY KNOW..they know things ..all kinds of things..they are instantly enlightened #4). Most often, they discuss either a tunnel they travel through..or flying at the speed of sound to another destination #5). Sometimes someone comes for them (can be angels or demons.. sometimes demons disguised..saying follow me) but not always met with someone #6). Most often they discuss their destination as the most beautiful garden, with mountains, trees, glistening rivers or some combination #7) they discuss HEARING the most glorious music they've ever heard.. worshipping God #8) they talk about a light brighter than they can imagine..but doesn't hurt their eyes #9). Have you noticed..about 80-90% of the time, they bring up COLORS..say there's colors there we don't even have on earth..& That they are incredibly VIBRANT 10). OFTEN talk about seeing or meeting like ved ones who were WAITING for them EDIT...forgot .. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, always Discuss LIFE REVIEWS... everyone gets a life review (so write your history as you wish to see it then) 11). Often heard, eternity is the REAL PLACE, Earth is almost fake & we're just passing thru 12) and then there JESUS...& HIS LOVE!!! Oh my goodness!!!! INCREDIBLE. One said, take your most valued moment on earth of truly feeling love, & multiply it times a billion, & that is what you feel when you encounter Jesus' love. Now mind you, these are only the common highlights I'm mentioning from watching hundreds (if not thousands) of these NDEs. I BELIEVE They don't know each other, but their stories are too alike!!

Really helpful talk. I have become concerned over the direction of the near death study groups which seem to have become very universalist and neo pagan - not all - but enough to confuse anyone logging on to the subject on KZbin etc. As an Anglican priest, once a long term member of the diocesan deliverance ministry team, I think good intelligent Evangelical understanding of NDE is long overdue. Dr Miller’s writing is a very welcome addition.

I searched a theological journal database on the Evangelical Theological Society website and found no articles on NDEs. Tons of articles have been written on NDEs in scientific journals, particularly medical journals, so I'm trying to expose more Christian scholars to the relevant research to begin assessing it. It has been terribly neglected. J. P. Moreland and Gary Habermas have indeed studied and written about these issues, but mostly in books published by scholarly presses, rather than theological journals. I'll be presenting a paper on NDE research this November at the Evangelical Philosophical Society to try to raise awareness and encourage more study. Perhaps you'd like to be involved in such efforts.... Thanks for your comments!

A month ago or so I was asleep one night and had a dream. In the dream I was outside with a few other people that I didn't know. It was nighttime, and the moon was shining very brightly, illuminating one huge cloud in particular. One of the people that I was standing with said, "If you move that cloud looks like a dragon." Sure enough if I moved slightly to the left, the cloud would transform into the likeness of a dragon. Small ufo's were flying in and out of the dragon cloud. Suddenly, I felt as though I was being pulled into the ground. I knew in my dream that I was being pulled down into hell. I immediately woke up. The dream really disturbed me. It still does. I was raised Christian. As an adult, I still believe that Jesus is Christ and died for my sins. However, I've done many bad things in life. I have always believed that I was saved through faith in Christ, but the dream has made me wonder if it was a warning.

I felt like i died and was one with everything around me while only seeing a bleu sky and clouds so beautiful i never have seen in my life. I never have felt this good off a feeling in my life. It was like i was meant to be their. But all of a sudden i felt panic and started falling down into black red darkness than woke up in shock about what happend to me. I was in shock for a few days. After this experience i did chance my life like not doing drugs anymore and trying even harder to better myself. I also was experiencing sleep paralysis the monts after while never having this before the experience. Now years after this experience i did turn my life around quite a bit. Still have much change to do. I didnt have sleep paralysis for a few years already. I feel alot better. It was a crazy experience. But i thank it for changing my life anyway.

I warn people away from seeking such experiences through drugs, since I believe there are both benevolent and malevolent beings on the other side. Opening your mind through artificial means (drugs) or through mediums can possibly open people up to be in touch with dangerous entities, or simply mess with their brains. I read the book The Harvard Psychedelic Club, about the lives of some of the early advocates of LSD, etc., such as Timothy Leary. While it did seem to open people up to something beyond a material existence, and transformed some atheists into theists, Huston Smith noted that once you receive your message, hang up! Instead, so many of these just continued to want to have more experiences, and their character/wisdom didn't seem to improve over time. At the end of the above-mentioned book, the author shares both a wonderful LSD experience and a subsequent terrible one that had lingering effects. Thanks for sharing your experience. I hope it will warn people that there are often bad experiences that have lingering consequences. My spiritual search through humble, sincere prayers, reading the Christian Scriptures (I believe there's strong evidence that the earliest and best manuscripts on Jesus' life were those contained in the New Testament), searching with other sincere seekers, and reading the best books for and against God, the Bible, etc. Thanks for sharing!

I bought my first ever Bible to try to understand Christianity. I have always felt spiritual in some way, but not convinced in there being a God. Within the first pages I'm struggling with the concepts. Why, for example, does Genesis 1:26 say "and God said; Let us make man in our image; after our likeness". Who is "us" and "our"? Why did a God that could create Adam from the dust of the earth, need to use one of Adam's ribs to create a woman? If it was for Adam's DNA, to ensure they were compatible, she was effectively his sister. Knowing what we know today as humans - this would have resulted in birth defects and so on. I'm asking for the readers / believers here to help me understand, not critiquing.

I would read Romans, because it starts off giving the bad news in the first two chapters and starting in chapter three it gives the amazing “good news” I pray you come to the truth ❤ Jesus Christ literally is the way, the truth, and the life and no man comes to God the Father except by Him!

Josh Yunger on Joe Rogan talks about a hellish NDE he had. But he’s still an atheist. I don’t believe 99% of NDE’S because they tell a false way of salvation! But I believe Josh’s NDE!

Another good channel is “Whaddo you Meme” he used to be an atheist too. But he’s a humble understanding guy! 😊

I'm confused. I have a work associate who said she died in Emergency but they resuscitated her. She said she felt peace and such overwhelming joy she regretted coming back to life. BUT SHE IS NOT SAVED. I asked her about her faith and she clearly is not Christian but she "wants to believe" and she is searching. If she was not saved, why would she have this experience? Biblically this seems wrong.

Immediately after the transition to the spiritual world, i.e. coming out of your body, is peaceful. It will stay that way until you involuntarily descend or move into darkness. Seems she didn't really go anywhere, just kind of hung around. There is no consensus as to what you will see just hanging around. Many people see the interior of the room, the doctors or the accident scene, while others just see a mist, a vague white light, etc. You need to start worrying if you feel yourself descending, you start moving into darkness or your environment is becoming warmer. She may have never made it to that point since she was going to be resuscitated.

@@SpaceCadet4Jesus wow, what you said was incredibly helpful - thank-you. Interestingly, she did tell me that she felt a warmth from heat, so this lines up with what you said. May I ask how you came to your conclusions? Did you experience yourself, or have you done research on this subject?

@@tammy9497 I've experienced coming out of body at age 5 when almost drowning, a partial separation at age 19 for unknown reason and nothing since then. I didn't go anywhere but stay near my body for a few seconds. We are human spirits in a temporary mortal body, and what is interesting to me is the compatibility of the two is such that we don't normally know that there's a difference. The Bible says that we are going to inhabit a spiritual body after we leave this mortal body behind. So even though we're spirit beings we were created to inhabit a body forever, not just hang around as spirits. Why? It's not my plan so I don't know. In my first post I was giving you a quick summary of what I have heard or read over the last 47 years combined with my very short experience. God bless.

@@SpaceCadet4Jesus thank-you for sharing your thoughts. My co-worker's experience caused me to struggle a bit, yet I do believe in God's Word no matter other's human encounters. I pray you are using your story to share the gospel to others, but I'm happy you survived that drowning, even though I'm sure it was traumatizing. God bless you and thank-you again for your helpful insights.

@@tammy9497 You're welcome. I rarely mention my out of body experience, although it did happen it was too short and I don't think anybody would care. Other people have had much more interesting stories, so I'll just leave it to them. It's really a privilege to talk with you, so many people online are combative and looking for a fight. I'm a lover, not a fighter. 🤗

This guy is brilliant, and I really enjoy listening to him speak about NDE's. I also really enjoyed his song "Space Cowboy", It's one of my all-time favs. A rock and roll classic.
