@@kennedygamingyt2919actually chapter 3 is pretty free anyhow and doesnt require the gorilla. i just wanted to save time from fishing + everyone was telling me to use HP+ and i didnt want to do what they were saying (for whatever reason???) the only one that actually requires gorilla is bubonic plant, unless you wanna take odds with the dizzy dial first aid kit spam was definitely me being lazy though

gusto imo isnt fun because supergaurding is super important in the game and just removing it makes bosses basiclly impossible if u dont got revives

I've tried it myself and it is actually fun to play with since you need to map out a strategy much more precisely, taking into account your health and DPS per turn. It teaches you some interesting concepts about enemy speed and the hp rolling system as well, and by understanding it I've been able to plan around some cool stuff like winning at 0 HP. What isn't fun though and the reason why I dropped this challenge myself is consistently guarding with all the timing reductions the hard mode badges introduces. Screwing up even one guard in these kinds of battles often means you just lose the whole fight, and makes them way more grindy and tedious as a result. It's fun to math it out and figure out how to beat it theoretically, but not fun to actually do lol

when you realize that 5 thorns cards exist:

5 thorns stack doesn't exist anymore, also 3 thorns would just help you since it reduced a very little amount your timing window, since you have thrill seeker and hard mode applied, it would only reduce 2.5% timing windows, making it 7.5% timing window reduction, but that 3 defense reduction would make your life a living hell since, well you would actually take 12 damage extra, which doesn't seems so good for our level 1 boy

- they changed it so you can only stack 3 - even if you could stack 5, how am i meant to equip more than one thorns card??? - overall very useless in hindsight, HP+ is more valuable for surviving turns
