I really liked the short video. There's a Korean soaper I follow and her videos are all music with details that pop up on the screen in English and Korean. I do really appreciate the extra tips that y'all give, but if I have to choose between less videos and you giving me a useful tip OR more videos where there's music and I can see your lovely craft, I'll choose the latter. Thank you for all you do.

hi! I’m just now getting into soap making and your channel is my favorite for education and inspiration. I’m wondering where you got your soap slicing setup where you use the wire cutter with the green handle. It looks like just the thing I need. thanks!
@TreeMarieSoapworks3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! The green wire cutter is from a company in Japan. Is was a bit tricky to order. If you order, make sure to get some extra replacement wires as shipping is expensive. I made the wood cutting guide, but you can also buy that. www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/special/order/confirm/cafe-de-savon:10000319/2_1/lgk-rakt_search www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/special/order/confirm/cafe-de-savon:10000325/2_1/lgk-rakt_search www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/special/order/confirm/cafe-de-savon:10000061/2_1/lgk-link_search

Hi Marie, I like watching your soap making videos. They are inspiring. I wanted to ask you, where did you get your soap cutter. I have my supplies to make soap, but this is one item I am missing. Thanks!😊😷
@TreeMarieSoapworks3 жыл бұрын
Hi Caroline! Are you talking about the green wire cutter? I got it from a company in Japan that says they are sold out. I used 2 wire cutters in this video, though. The wood one is from Bramble Berry, but it is sold with their Wire Soap Slicer. You might look at Etsy.com. I am working with customcrafttools.com to make a wire cutter, maybe follow them to see when it is released. Please don't let a cutter keep you from starting to make soap. You can always use a knife. See my first video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/habLiJR-qNKDe6s
@CarlineFrancois3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for replying to my post. I will check the companies you mentioned. Yes, the old fashioned knife will do. I had added knife, but for temporary use. Thank you. Love your soap making. You inspire us.😊

Phenomenal Teri! I’d love to know your supplier for your soap boxes? They look like they would work well for my soaps. I hope this bar will be available at your next soap release too. Thanks!
@TreeMarieSoapworks3 жыл бұрын
Lol, I make my own boxes with a custom die and die cutter. I print them first and then crank them through the cutter. Next, I fold and glue them. They are a lot of work, but I used to use bands and I got tired of them falling off. I make so many different kinds of soap that this was my solution. 😊

That was just beautiful! May I ask where you you got your soap planer? Thank you. I got none on Amazon and it’s pretty horrible.
@TreeMarieSoapworks3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Melinda! We made our planer. We got the instructions from the Appendix of The Everything Soapmaking Book by Alicia Grosso. You might try Etsy. I have heard of people find good ones there.

I'm having serious problems with pouring. I bring the soap to trace, then add the fragrance, and blend, but it often seizes or gets too thick. Temperatures between 100 and 110. Oils are coconut, olive, palm and castor, in correct proportions using: lyecalc.com/beginner Is it the fragrances? I've tried Ola Prima (always seizes) Sun Essentials (sometimes seizes) and NOW with varying results. When I DON'T bring the soap to trace, I have separation and cracking. I guess my timing is off:( The first 5 batches I ever made were great, but the batches are failing more and more now, it's getting worse instead of better. The last 5 batches I made failed. This is SO depressing!
