I don't know what it is about this couple. I don't even usually ship ships like this. At first I thought it was because IMO Buffy seemed to love Angel the most or because I liked Angel more than Spike, but it's honestly neither. There's just something incredibly sincere and heartfelt in their chemistry. I've tried to ship S/B and I certainly respect them, but it's just not the same. I guess I'll always be a Bangel fan at heart. Great vid. ;)

You know, I actually feel the same way about Stefan and Elena from TVD. I never expected to like them, but I found myself falling in love with their love anyway. So I definitely understand how you feel. Even though you may have a preference for a certain kind of ship I guess you sometimes fall for ships that are "not your type". And that's not a bad thing. me neither. Buffy and angel just have such a pure and sincere love. They fight for one another, seek each other out, and make each other better. He was always there when she needed him. Even when he had a life in LA, he still made the effort. They just can't ever truly move on from one another, they love each other too much. It's no wonder when they built their relationship on a foundation of trust, mutual respect, and unconditional love. Spike and Buffy didn't. Their's was built on hatred, pain, self loathing and lust. There was nothing good or positive about that relationship until he got a soul, even then, it seems like their very nasty history would have created some serious scars, because somehow spike was the same person with and without a soul. which btw doesn't make any sense.

Oh god the 2:49 / 2:50 with the "dream" of the wedding violently cut by the break up scene in The Prom, just on the "sorry" of the song.. season 2 remains my fav, for years Becoming was the most everything for me, the tragic end of all; then Innocence: the "right now" of change and pain, but since a break up of my own that scene in The Prom just hits even harder than befoe (esp when you've been told something akin to the "I'm trying to think with my head instead of my heart", alas the guy in question being no vampire I couldnt throw Buffy's great comeback .. oh dear am I getting carried away?) anyway long story short, those seconds of editing were breathtaking :)

I will always want Buffy and Angel to be together.. they're my first ever ship and now that I look back at it I can see that what they had was actual pure and genuine love for each other but they could never be together and that is what makes them so tragic in a way.. Buffy's relationship with spike as I see it is only with lust and anger which portrays in the series as passion and the two do have great chemistry as characters but as Buffy sees it show know how it'll end because she's been through it before.. as I see it later on the reasons why Buffy pushes spike away and treats him so poorly is because she doesn't want experience the heartbreak of not being with someone that she loves... I didn't plan on writing this much and yeah Buffy and Angel forever

What's wrong with me? I watch the couples before I get to them on the show and I'm like "OMG I ship it" but then I see something else that makes me mad and I'm like "NOOO I already got my ship" And I see that it doesn't work out or one of them dies and my whole mood for the show is vanishes and I stop watching it. Whether you're a spuffy or bangel shipper it doesn't matter because it's Buffy choice and the way she lit up around Angel, the way she let her guard down around him and was just absolutely and completely in love with him, well that is why Spuffy had a hard time competing. She could never completely love Spike when she had already given her heart completely to Angel and so Spike ended up being a place holder who was in love with her and that was unfair on him and also cruel. He deserved better and also for Buffy to choose Spike, she would have to give up Angel completely and she was never going to do that.

+KatieBTVS I think "almost identical" is exaggerating things a bit. As vidders we only have a limited number of scenes at our disposal and when you use the same song for the same couple there are bound to be similarities. 'Hello' is a song about calling your ex; is it really so strange, then, that I used the same clips during certain sequences (e.g. the clip of Angel calling Buffy)? Not going to lie: I did watch your video; however, it was never my intention to copy it and I am sorry if you feel that it came across that way. Even if I hadn't watched the vid I probably would have used the same clips.

Buffy and Angel , it's a lovestory full of bounce, it's like a emotional lift and it's real but there is no progress in their relationship. It's a cycle of love, complication, love, break up, make up, pose ect.... So it's quite exhausting emotionally, that why i don't think they belong together. But with Spike, it's like building a relationship with many pieces, some good, some bad, but there is a progression in many aspect so it's more mature and interesting to watch. I think that Angel is her first love but Spike is the love of her life. They both saw the good and the ugliest parts of eachother but loved eachother anyway, that's really deep & intense. And finally, even with no soul, Spike had respect and consideration for Buffy. He helped her many times, even with her own family. But Angel with no soul, is nothing. He's just a twisted monster.
