I love watching your reactions to Dimash (pronounced Dee MOSH) because it's obvious you feel his passion! He's been my favorite singer for about a year and I rarely listen to anyone else anymore. In my 72 years on this earth, I have NEVER heard anyone better. Once in a while I'll take a little break and listen to a favorite artist from the 70's or 80's, but I always come back to Dimash daily. My daughter thinks I'm a little obsessed. I don't deny it. 😉

Someone recommended Didaidau at Bastau concert and I second that! It's actually my very favorite of all his performances for a few reasons: I love the surprise at the beginning, I love the audience reaction when they first lay eyes on him, I love his powerful voice near the end, I love his emotional reaction at the end, I love the traditional instruments, I love that singing this song was so important to him, and of course, I love him in his traditional costume!

Quelques mots sur Dimash, Monsieur. La participation au concours "Singer" a marqué la première sortie de Dimash (22 ans) de l'espace postsoviétique. C'était sa première expérience à l'echelle internationale dans tous les sens: artistique, vocal, linguistique. Dimash est sorti d'une excellente famille de chanteurs et musiciens où tous sont liés par ce magnifique art: maman, papa, grand-père et grand-mère. Ajoutez-y son maître de vocal Monsieur Marat Aitimov et un ami très proche, arrangeur Erlan Bektchourine, qui font partie de l'équipe de Dimash. Après avoir terminé l'école de musique, Dimash a fait ses études au conservatoire national. Actuellement, il travaille sur une thèse. C'est à l'âge de deux ans que Dimash s'est retrouvé sur le podium tout à fait par hasard voulant regagner son papa et sa maman qui se produisaient sur la scène. A partir de ce moment, il s'est mis à "torturer" sa grand-mère exigeant qu'elle l'emmène à une école de musique. Il est l'aîné des enfants. Il a aussi une soeur qui chante et un frère qui joue de différents instruments de musique. C'est une famille très travailleuse.
