Kishor K and Naushad came together only once in this song! Well! Good! Naushad never was in tune with voice of Kishor Kumar and Kishor Kumar never bothered of as he too never was in tune with Naushad is too good for music lovers! We must thank both of them because otherwise worst and hopeless compostion like above would never had to be heard and recorded at all! Proverb says "Donkey never likes Jaggery because he never got to taste and eat it! What do you say guys? Don't you agree?

Actually KK's voice quality & style of singing did not match with Naushad's style of composition. He was a great music director but lacked versatility. Moreover when KK started taking his singing career seriously, after outstanding success of Aradhana, Naushad was not in his prime. He was running downhill then. Probably Sunghursh(1968) was his last big hit.

@@abhijitgupta1178 Revisionism at its finest - Kishore came to Mumbai to become a singer, he has stated this on several occasions. Only when he couldn't gain a foothold due to the talent ahead of him that he decided to take up acting. Until the late 1960s Kishore wasn't even amongst the top five male playback singers. Moreover, it is not Kishore who didn't take singing seriously but rather no MD thought Kishore's singing to be noteworthy, hence the lack of assignments.

@@drs2969 if no MD took kishoreda seriously, it was their mistakes for which in 1970s onwards, all those MDs lost their established footholds .. fire can't be suppressed for long .. so kishoreda proved all MDs wrong n he reigned for 18 years from 1969 to 1987

correct....this is the one and only song Kishore sang under Naushad. Unfortunately the hero of the movie Rajendra Kumar preferred Rafi big time, and was able to convince the producer to scrap the song from the movie. So even though KK got paid, he felt hurt deeply that the movie didnt feature the song in video Rajendra Kumar's preference for Rafi was evident even from 1970 days, when in movies like Geet, Aap Aaye Bahaar Aye, Gora Aur Kala, even though MD's like LP, KA and producers wanted to try Kishore for RK, Jubilee Star was adamant - its only Rafi for me. So as it turns out, not only with Naushad, this was also Kishore's only 2nd song for Rajendra Kumar - he got a chance to sing the duet with lata Tumko Bhi To Aisa Hi Kuch for the movie AABA. As it turns out, Kishore never sang for Nausad again. RDB was about to have him sing an intro background score for Love Story (1981), but he asked a casual question like who is the producer and got the answer "its Rajendra Kumar" and thus KK backed out. Father's bailing out, helped son Amit get a stronger foothold. But we will never know maybe if Naushad had tried more varieties and used Kishore more, he may have got more opportunities in 70's.

naushad did not use kishore talent ...he was unfair with kishore no doubt ...some music director also unfair with kishore ..they could not judge his talent..

Nice song ... Kishoreda sang in his style ...so Naushad ji' tune sounded modern n sounded like 1970s tune ... Otherwise, Naushad ji other tunes of 1970s sounded boring as being not adjustable to the taste of 1970s because of lack of versatility of Naushad ji
