Congratiulations for your retirement. I retired last year in december and I have the same feelings like you and I had a lot more time on my bike this year 😎

I am enjoying the day rather than worrying about tomorrow. Cheers!

Congratulations on your retirement. I've still got about two years left. I'm new to Motorcycling, but I know I'm going to be doing lots of riding once I'm free to do so. When I watched your first (to me) video I recognized Parksville right away. It's one of our favourite getaway locations. Either staying at Tigh-Na-Mara or camping at Rathtrevor. We are just over on the mainland. I hope its as great living over there as I like to believe it is.

Thanks for your kind words. I especially enjoyed the last two years of my work knowing that retirement was coming. I hope it's the same for you...Yes, Parksville is a great place to live (you must also be familar with the Black Goose?)

@ No, we have never been there, but now that you have made me aware of it, we will go next time we are there. I had been to the Crow and Gate, but that was at least 30 years ago.

Was wondering how things were going after all this time. Glad a Solution for the GRISO is in sight. As for retirement, it has many advantages in that you can CHOOSE what you need/want to do. Ride ON !

Congrats on the life changing news at 66 I am thinking about retirement but my wife and I love to travel while we are still able to and working and long service leave allow us to continue this life style. Looking forward to moto Guzzi news.we traveled to grand canaria and hired two adventure bikes we had a ball long flight from Australia but worth it.
@BlueMarbleRider25 күн бұрын
Thanks. It's great to travel while you can, trouble is my work was always freeing me up at the most expensive times to travel. It's a novelty to me that I can now find cheaper flights and off peak Air BnB's to stay at half the price of peak times. Aus to Gran Canaria is a heck of a flight. What is the riding like there? I've heard some good things. Cheers.

Grand carnaria riding was amazing thanks to reviews on this platform a Honda monkey bike would have been even more fun tight switch backs 😊

Yes, a small bike would be a blast in those twisty roads!

Hi good to see you made it back safe and sound! I'm looking forward to seeing your upcoming video of the Guzzi factory. Also interested in your camera setup, I'm guessing you have a couple of GoPros and an Insta360? It looks really good, I might try something similar on my Norton. Glad you're enjoying retirement, same as me! Cheers!
@BlueMarbleRider25 күн бұрын
Thanks, NU. Happy Retirement! How was the rest of your trip, particularly the pass into Austria? You nailed it: 2 Gopros and an Insta360x4. The Go Pros are annoying in so many ways (mounts, audio) but the video quality is amazing (better than the ace pro I tried - except for night shots). The Insta360 is 8K but, it's actually 2.7K when you reconfigure and focus on one area...so the shots are dynamic but not quite as polished as a go pro.

Great news on the Griso, BMR & I hope you enjoyed your time in Blighty. Did you get to watch a Hammers game? ⚒️ Maybe a couple more rides left before my 1200SE goes to bed for the winter.

Congratulations on your retirement, enjoy it. Looking forward to seeing the videos. Moto Guzzi and marketing not something you tend to see in the same sentence, over 100yrs of getting it wrong.

Much appreciated! Yes. The local dealer just shakes his head about the whole piaggio group (he does Aprilia too).

I also restored my Bonneville , it now lives in my living room .ready for hopefully next year. All the best keep it up. My griso 1100 has to go can't ride it let someone else enjoy its only done 18 k sad .

Wow, Nige, that's a heck of a battle. I know St. Peters in Chertsey (used to live very near there - and was in there visiting my mum last april as she had knee surgery there). Glad you are starting to get some healage going and getting out on the KTM. I don't know how you got the Bonnie in the living room, but I doff my cap - I tried that once...no go! Sorry to hear about the Griso having to go, but theycan be heavy and demanding to ride at times. I just got mine back an hour ago-so pleased, but I had to ride it back in torrential rain. Warming up now, with a grin. Cheers.

Guzzi doesn't do a good job of marketing. Really?😂 They really need to up their game a bit enough to bring in enough new riders to at least replace those of us who are aging out.

I tried to buy a tee shirt that is advertized on the US store...except they won't ship it to anywhere in north america. Picked on up in the factory at MDL...told them that. They said it's going to come on line next year. Sure :-)
