An excellent vlog about coffee, Marshall! Who would have thought that you'd get a lesson about purging the stale coffee from a grinder, but from a cafe in Davao named Purge. Then the unassuming lady barista clarifies the difference between "fragrance" and "aroma". I am such a sucker for lessons like she delivered! Shall we say you've resurrected, Marshall?

Great to go to Purge!!! part of the entertainment is the innovative approach to roasting, blending and extraction using Local beans and some foreign beans too; the knowlegeable staff is truly a place for aficionadoes of coffee… when i order an extraction of espresso you get two with one as a shorter timed one…. one kind of coffee withba difference due to extraction!!!!

I almost checked in to the same hotel but changed my mind at the last minute because I realized I was cheap and there are many cheap yet good and clean hotels in Davao and that's what makes it special. Davao is much cheaper than Manila and I hope it stays that way. Looking forward to your next vlog in Davao and happy to see you back!

Good Video, Now your are something of a Coffee Connoisseur. I like the New Bistro Deli coffee just outside of Robinson forum mall or in Light Mall. I hope this information will help you as you travel around the Philippines. The cell phone companies do have a portable wifi hotspot. Globe or smart mobile hot spot which you can buy for around 1000 pesos or less and you can load it as you need it.

I stayed at that hotel a few years ago for work. Bit too far from the center for my taste and no sidewalks around! I wish Davao had more of a walking culture. Wouldn't mobile data have done as well so you could continue to stay at CACS? Unless the signal there isn't good.
