this really felt like a horror game up until pre alpha 4, this game WAS perfect it was really unnecessary to change it the mix of toony and realistic atmosphere was honestly a good mix

If we had the AI of alpha 1 and pre alpha the ambiance of this game and the pre alpha the style of pre alpha and the house of pre alpha at night time. It would have been a perfect game together with some good old lore

This is one of the more interesting houses because most of the upper floors are unreachable without mods and how it is dark and how the layout has changed makes this an interesting house

while the gameplay was awful, this build (in my opinion at least) had one of the greatest atmospheres. The trees still had their realistic textures, but the house was somewhat toony. That intro alone is enough to set the mood that "something terrible is going down tonight."

You know what's funny the more hello neighbor I watch the braver i feel about the game but yet when I first encounter the neighbor myself I freak out but at least I grow more confident once I play for a little while

In my opinion alpha 3 is where the game started going down hill, i found this version of the game very frustrating and the house design was just plain awful.

@@ClassicShocker even though I do like the build, I do agree with your statement. I honestly felt like they rushed this build. The video showing the empty house shell was posted on Dec. 8th and they made it public on Dec. 22nd, they literally had two weeks to design the map, do cinematics, compose the music, build the outside of the map, and program the Neighbor's AI. They should've waited until at least January to release Alpha 3

@JF_Abridged yea the first 2 betas was a complete mess cuz the basement was broken and you had to waste your time by getting the red key and going to that double jump place while you can’t enter cuz the red key door was broken the best alpha in my opinion was alpha 3

Pre alpha-alpha 1.5 amazing. Alpha 2 became cartoony. Alpha 3 is just terrible. Alpha 4 is better then alpha 3 but not buy much. Betas are meh. Act 1 is good. Act 2 is amazing. Act 3 is horrible. And final act is the worst. Hello neighbor 2 is far better now and is a big step up. Probably because dynamic trash did not develop the game.

I was never able to play any of the alphas or betas because the family computer witch is the only computer in the house is a MacBook Pro and hello neighbor only works on PC not Mac but all I had was KZbin videos and some time ago I bought hello neighbor for the switch and comparing the alpha 3 to the act 3 house the alpha 3 house looks so small
