I remember playing that build on day 1 and I was always like 'why does my game different like the run animations and that stacking boxes was easier so I was able to cheese doing the ice puzzle cause I was stupid and get the red key that way' so it's cool know that for 7 years I was one of a group of people who played a technically beta build of the game.

i think back when i played on xbox that weird build with broken abilities was available to me for a short time, did a normal playthrough and vividly remember the cutscene for act 3 replaying during a save causing stuff to fling around and freak out

Fun fact: There was an actual pre release trailer, showing very different parts and different scenes, like the fear room really being really simple. I found some research for the old fear room. Basically, how it works is that there are a group of mannequins huddling around you, and a ball. You have to throw the ball and the mannequins will get the ball. Once they get the ball, they will run fast to you, and so you will have to move when the mannequins are distracted.

@@coolwing79it did have an intention of being released in winter of 2021, but it was broken and bad so they postponed and started working on making a beta build which was e3. After that the whole art style change happened and we got the beta:/ anyway yes you are right we are never getting the A2 build.

I remember having a version on my dad's LG phone and that part where you push the neighbor in act 3 was always showing that cutscene but the difference was it told me to press space and I didn't have a spacebar so that part was never passable because the inputs would never register. ( Maybe my dumbass had big ass fingers idk) But yeah i had it on my dads phone until somebody had stolen it and the hello neighbor build was gone.

Hey, I have an assumption that the version of alpha 1 in gog version is different from the release in steam (it was also in the tinybuild mailing list), and for some reasons that the alpha 1 installation site stopped working, as well as the inability to download alpha 1 in gog, this version idk how to get it, but it is stored in gogdb btw pre alpha from the mailing list is different from the release version: it has less crashes, neighbor is more aggressive. I think it would be nice to get this version.

you'd have to crack open the .csd file that comes inside it, it has the game files to this build. but nobody has found a way to do that yet (i don't think). but yeah other than that you can't do much.

When you crouch in the pre release version, the hands are different. And in act 3, you need to jump to the pipe in order to learn the double jump right? Well, in the full release version, there is a ladder

I play I on xbox and I have disk and I did the thing to make the game to the first version and now I can play the version kindly keyin plays and there are so many differences and bugs, it was basically so bad I was like just a beta 3 mod because the only differences from it are houses

This is interesting when you showed the clip of the shiny grass at night for act 3 I had the same thing. When I got the game on Xbox disk version the game was glitchy and had that shiny grass and also in act 3 the wrench was at a totally different area. The next day when i booted it up again it keep loading and never opened the game. I refunded it and got another disk. The new disk was fine and wasn’t that weird version

This version is really similar to the 32bittest which you can get from beta tab in hello neighbor properties. And yeah I did play this version and it's quite interesting, especially the cutscenes and the fact how neighbor places bear traps in act 1
