Hope you both feel better next week. Also, feeding moldy bread to any animal is very dangerous. Even if it is a little mold, it can be very toxic esp. to small birds.

Don't feel bad and be to hard on yourself Elliott, this sounds like most of our lives I think, work takes a lot of time and just everyday chores etc. Add children into the mix and you have 0 time for reset or similar... We are just humans we try and do our best and just go along as good as we can ❤❤

I've seen the exact Thames video! I was born in the late 60s ... we got a walnut, a satsuma and some copper coins in our xmas stockings, and on a good year, a finger puppet or small locally made wooden, tin or felt toy! Happy days! Consumerism is mad these days ....

Diets your best off doing week days and relaxing it at the weekend, a month just drags. Also making a line graph and marking it every day works. If you go full out you put it back on. Veggie smoothies kill hunger too

With the area behind you greenhouse instead of using weed membrane use cardboard. Save any boxes you get, removing any tape and labels, open them out and lay them on the ground overlapping. Then put the bark on top.

Matt wearing sunglasses in the hotel room the morning after looked like Jonny Thompson who also went to Aberystwyth University but a decade before Matt. Next year you need to ask the local bars and eateries if they remember the King's Equerry, now Aide, as a Uni student in the 2000s? 😎❤️

I would think putting bark down in that area in your garden will attract a lot of bugs. I know ants especially love to hide in wood chips and mulch. Also snakes! LOL... Maybe try putting down loose stone, pea stone, or something like that? 💦

Lovely vlog again. Matt’s Yorkshires are glorious. Please please don’t feed birds mouldy bread. It’s toxic to them. A little in date bread is fine though it is just empty calories to them. The birds that frequent my bird feeders gorge on high energy seed, meal worms, sunflower seeds and fat ball. Have been blessed with fledglings of various birds each year in present house. Our British birds are precious and in decline so am happy to spend a fortune fattening them up and seeing them through winter. 😊

Elliot. take 1 hour a day. ONE HOUR. and that's for your drawing, or sitting in the garden. or whatever you want. ONE HOUR. the fatigue from thinking "I should be doing this" while doing something else is REAL. ad hoc quom...do what you are doing.

I had just finished watching this vlog, flipped back to KZbin, and the video you mentioned with the 3 older ladies popped up on my feed. What a coincidence! It was an enlightening half hour with a young Mary Parkinson interviewing these ladies all from different backgrounds. Yorkshire, London and Devon. I live near Exeter but on the East side. I was born in 1949 and Christmas's were similar to theirs though in the 50's and 60's. There was probably a bit more money around for labourers and other 'wage earners' but even then a chicken or Capon was usually only for the Christmas table. I can't really remember when it became an everyday food item. JennyN
