It’s nearly six years now since I built my extension & knocked the wall down in the dining room. It’s given me the best of all worlds tbh, I still have the dining room complete with G Plan, then walk thru into my kitchen with kitchen island unit which includes a sitting area. Then in front of the bifold doors I have a sitting area with TV on the wall. It’s honestly given me the best of all worlds. As I live on my own I tend to sit at the island for my meals but then when I have visitors I still have my full dining table but they don’t have to see all the palaver in the kitchen. The old kitchen is my utility room. My other point is ( sorry it’s a long post) my kitchen units are painted in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue. People ( including the kitchen fitter) thought I was bonkers but I was merely ahead of the trend, now everyone has blue kitchens 🤣🤣🤣

We have a table in our kitchen and that’s where we eat as a family each night, but we also entertain a lot (sometimes every week) so our dining room gets a lot of use.

😂😂😂 as a sole parent of 5…. I used to just have a spray bottle of water…. If I had to go back a second time to wake them, it was a quick spritz on the face and a “get up” and I was back in the kitchen before they started grumbling 😂😂😂

I love the exterior. We had a dining room for 23 years and used it 4 times, maybe 😂 so I would use the room for something else! 😊 My utility is in the basement 🧼🧽🪣 Do you ever see the master downstairs? It makes alot more sense for older people. Loved the video ❤

Elliot, you are the best at "showing houses". Matt needs to "model" across the bed to demonstrate just how wide it is😃. Matt may get ideas to use a bell like the cow bell to summon you if he has an op (hope he doesn't). Look after each other guys.

I use my dining table in the morning as the sun rises at the back, I sometimes eat my lunch in there but eat my dinner on a tray in the living room. Emily Norris put the laundry room on the upper floor when she renovated her home, it just makes sense, you get dressed and undressed upstairs, we bring the clothes downstairs to wash/dry just to take them all the way back upstairs again.

Nice house, but it’s a tiny freezer in the fridge freezer in the kitchen (given that it’s for a larger family, being 5 bedrooms). I’d have to have a second freezer or fridge freezer put in the utility! Otherwise, it’s quite nice (I’d fill in the space under the stairs to have a space to hang coats out of sight).

Beautiful house. Maureen has been quite a busy bee 🐝 lately hasn't she? I can see her changing the Living and dining rooms around and the living room as the dining room with those double doors and the French doors, perfect for a grand entrance as the Grand Dame of the home. A bigger dining room means dinner parties with panache. Fun fact Blue and Gold ( slightly different shades) are the colors of UC Berkeley and UCLA The second bedroom with the ensuite, I can see that being a potential contentious point if a family who moves in has two teenage daughters because of the ensuite lol

Central heating hot water pipes that feed radiator system usually from a gas boiler. However heat pumps are becoming more popular with underfloor heating.

I grew up with a gas stoves. I have had induction and now have traditional electric. I prefer induction over electric. Lately in my area there have been issues with gas stoves & heating. Some times leading to fires and some times explosions.

Lovely home, shame the kitchen really lets it down for me. They’ve used such little space for the actual kitchen, too much for the sofa and table/chairs. This could have been stunning. Also noted no fireplace in the lounge, why are builders doing that now, will never understand it.

I agree. And for a home at this price point I would expect those nice shelving systems that glide out to make access to the far reaches so much easier, especially in the base cabinet corners. Pull out pantries are another nice feature.
