The blessing of a monastery is to see the face of the elder and to see our elder (Bishop Amphlokios) is to see the face of st Nektarios. This man or rather earthly angle is a true father to so many.

I cried both with bitter and happy tears. Happy because i am witnessing in the faces of these people our Lord's promise to those who will love Him. And bitter tears because i am a greek orthodox, born and raised, and i am not even remotely close to have the Faith and Love for Christ that these people possess. I had the blessing of being baptized by Elder Amphilochius in Rhodes in 2001. Similar to here, a camp was organized at the monastery of Tarri on Rhodes, where we children from Serbia were blessed to hear the Word of God and receive Holy Baptism from the hands of this Holy Elder. ❤

In 2019 I had the opportunity to be in Fiji and I met everyone in the orphanage and the church of Holy Trinity in Saweni. I feel myself blessed and honoured. I instantly felt how it is to be in the place of those children. Sister Melani, Mitera Thekla, Father Vartholomeos, each and everyone of you now you have a place in my heart and I wish God will make me able to come again one day in Fiji and help you any way I can.
