I visited Krakow in 2019. My connection was intense. My Paternal grandparents emigrated from a small village in Poland called. Cwiklen. I'm so excited, I started watching you when you were in Thailand so I missed a lot of the Poland Vlogs. Although you have traveled to so many places I feel like Poland is one of your homes, it's like a fish returning back to his pond but different. Luke, welcome back! why I'm writing this is that I was actually watching that video with tears in my eyes. Just as you now, in January I visited back my beloved Barcelona for the first time in over 2 years. And those emotions and endorphines that I had must be exactly the same that you have when you are coming to Poland after so much time. For me the moment I get the most emotional is almost always when I go to Montjuic and can see the whole city from above - it's hard for me not to get emotional... Just as you approaching the Market Square in Krakow. So I feel you man! Let's cherish those moments and feelings that we have for those special places in our hearts! Have fun in Poland !

We've got two, maybe three serious snow episodes this winter. There was very warm in between, so snow melted away. In the past, we could have snow for 5-6 months some winters. Now it doesn't happen anymore. Past few winters were very mild, but next winter has a good chance of being very cold and maybe snowy one, but that is about to be seen. Check out in a year and if there will be snow, come to Zakopane and winter markets to few major cities. You need to hunt for at least 7 days cold weather (below 0) with a lot of snow (when it snows, it's rarely very cold, usually few degrees Celsius below zero, but if it's above zero, it's moist and unpleasant). If you get lucky, a sunny, freezing weather can come after the snow. Those are the best winter moments when you get A LOT OF FRESH SNOW, it's below zero and then freezing, sunny weather comes (up to -20 Celsius). It's absolutely magical. Usually, we have maximally 1-3 such events per winter. The rest of time is gloomy, snow can be dirty, or there is a lot of moist, wind around zero, short days - that's not fun outside, but at least at home we have warm and cozy :D.

as i recall from what my aunt told me pelino train should take you to warsaw from krakow in about 3 hours or less she goes to zakopane every winter so she mentioned that tid bit lol btw 80s and 90s trip would take almost 16 hours plus

I remember this as we did this trip every year to visit her during summer months. Warsaw is further down so there is no way it took 16 hours for a trip to last!
