It's incredible how, once you break the language barrier, you realize how similar we all are. Sure, customs and cultures can vary wildly but we all still laugh, love, dance, sing, eat, tell stories, create, etc. Despite it all, humanity is so cool.

Exactly, I've always said this. Get past the superficial differences and we really are the same. We're human. We want to love, laugh, tell stories, go on adventures, enjoy a cold drink on a hot day, spend time with our families, raise our children. It really saddens me all the hate, racism, xenophobia and bigotry that still exists and seems to be growing in the Western world. All people are beautiful!

They loved him though. They didnt know that a white guy from America could be into their culture and wanting to try and learn rheor language. These days it's quite normal for a white guy to know a few languages. Specially if you're from germany or Scandinavia you're not that special if you're goid in 3-6 language. When i was a teen eveybody that liked languages spoke Danish, English, German, French and maybe even Swedish depending on where yiu grew up. If you was from Copenhagen and anything within 1 hour drive you spoke swedish quite well. If you was from around south jylland/jutland you spoke german and watched german tv more than any other channel as they had the best tv in the 70's and 80s. But that's disappearing now. No one i know can speak german like we could as teens. And same with Swedish and even English. All kids sounds American when speaking English because if the Internet. That wasn't allowed when i was a teen. The US pronunciation was seen as wrong. So if you had an exam and you didnt sound like you was doing BBC English or Harry Potter if that helps... You had failed.. You had to say FAST like a brit so FARST. If you said Fast like an American would say Fast and Furious you would fail at the exam. Or Aunt couldn't sound like my ANT. It was very strict. Our lessons came with books with tapes. Later CD's. And it all sounded like it was done by Steven Fry. I feel sad that that has gone from danish schools. But yeah the normal languages that we learn has become the expected but also not as food as 30 years ago. But Ari goe sout and learns languages from the human beings like Navaho or Apache or Pawnee or whatever... Then he picks up some rare Tribal language from deep in the amazon, you dont get people doing that. A lot of languages is on the way to become dead languages. And then you have a guy like Ari whos doing his best to keep them alive.. And by doing so you not only remember the language, but you remember the people, and theres honour in that.. These people know what hes doing.. Hes trying to say... I wont forget you, i know you were here in my time.. To me thats big dick action right there. And i comend him for that. 😎 When all these clicking languages and strange tribal dialects and whatnot are gone.. Thats it. They aint coming back. Gone , lost, over and done with. So guys like Ari is needed. It doesnt matter if you do it for youtube or to impress someone or whatever. Just that you do it... You made an effort.. 😊

Moses would be proud. I teared up when you made that tribute for him after he passed. I don't usually get sad at those type of things, but Moses' untimely death got to me. I loved watching all his videos because when he spoke in someone's native language, their entire demeanor changed and their personality shined through. You capture the same things in your videos and I love them because of it. Keep it up bro, and thank you for carrying on Moses' torch. The light is bright and warm and direly needed on my feed.

Speaking Ojibwe must have made the elders of the "first nation" proud. I traveled to China for many years and when I was staying there , and was "immersed" in Mandarin it was fun. But I also found the many of the young people speak English.

i truley believe my grandfather would be so proud of you for learning all these different languages, dialects ect. its not something a regular person does. and throught out the world, the biggest recognition to the person you are communicating in is being able to speak their language. that alone gives so much appreciation and respect to those who learn those languages. i wish the people of the world could be such a great a man as you have become. I've watched your videos for a couple years now and I've come to the realization that you are genuinely a good soul. I can't see you having a mean bone in your body. Maybe you do, maybe you don't but for someone who respects other people's languages and cultures as much as I see you doing it just makes me respect you as a human even more. I'm always so intimidated to meet people in even English. I've spoken French for 30 years but still don't know if I could hold a conversation. How cool that you can just pick up a language to wherever you choose. I'm not overlooking how hard it must be, it's SERIOUSLY impressive but it must make for some very interesting trips and meeting a lot of great people.

Terrific compilation! I'd love it if you went to Malta and/or learned the Maltese language. My grandfather was born in Valletta and was always trying to teach it to me, but even though we moved over to Rome, then Malta in the early 1970's and I turned 5 while we were there, so they enrolled me in school there, I was 4-6yo, to young to remember it. It's a very convoluted language with the amount of times the island was taken over. It literally has 15 different dialects 😬. So if you were to ever tackle THAT language, enjoy diving in and let us know how it goes 😊. I know full well that you could do it.

the act of talking someone else's native language is amazing. but i've realized from these videos that just talking to people is amazing as well. i have a hard time talking just in english, but when you get passed being scared about talking, people are receptive of it. it's all about trying to understand another. it's so awesome. the skill doesn't matter as much as the amount an individual tries to converse.

Xiaoma inspired me to learn some phrases and questions in various languages. I wanted to be able to connect with certain customers at the bank I worked at who struggled with English, just enough to get done what they needed. Seeing people light up when you actually speak their language is like a cup of coffee.
