I watched an interview with Murray before the games release and he literally told people the game wouldn’t have these so called promised features at launch but that they would stick with the game and continue to update and improve it for years to come. Seems like the fans are mostly the ones who overhyped the game tbh.

The fact that Hello Games could take NMS from it's release state to where it is today makes me all the more mad that EA scrapped Anthem. The devs were working on a 'relaunch' update to fix up the game, people were hyped about it and when they presented the idea to EA, they instead decided to shut it down. If a dev team the size of Hello Games could do it, EA would have had no issue.

Idk if anyone agrees with this: - first hello games you can take one of these ideas if it takes time or u didnt like some of it.. 1- i want you hellogames to change the online/multiplayer system and make it like the expedition system : Where we all start on the same planet/system or different systems but they are close to each other.. so that the chance of meeting increases and from here the exploration begins so the exploration will become more fun and we will see the buildings of the other players and we can become a team with others. And here exploration starts where we don't know what awaiting us.. 2- Most creatures are boring because they have almost no use or value and they feel the same... So make some of them Dangerous and give them their own abilities : -shooting web like spiders-> caves -freezing-> ice boimes -flying-> any biome -Poisoning-> toxic biomes So put them in their right places and give them there loot too like it gives you something that can be used for upgrading tools/ships Upgrading tools like: -Burning bolts -Teleporting from a small destance - spider web launching And many... so they worth risking your life And if you can make bosess -in caves -inside a volcano -Frozen biomes And they give loot box/chets or anything elese I know I asked for things that needed a lots abd lots of time But you can make on things of these ideas Or making on of these ideas for each big update I dont mind waiting a whole year or much for making this. This patch is amazing and looks great. NMS consistently puts out huge content updates at least once a year. The game is well worth the price - even before this update. The onlyyyyy thing I really want is multi crew ships. I've been asking for years for this. When I play, I only play multiplayer. I'd love to fly around planets and space in a ship with my buddies. Have them use on board gun turrets and fight things in space, in the air, on the ground. That's when I leave the real world and stay in NMS forever 💖

I remember being yelled at by a teacher in the school computer lab because I kept pulling up No Man's Sky trailer photos and geeking out. It was the first game I ever preordered. When I came home and saw the game on launch, I was beyond disappointed. But words cannot accurately describe how proud and excited I am to see the passion and work put into making No Man's Sky the game it was meant to be and more. Not a day goes by that im not blown away how a 6 year old game keeps updating and looking better and better as time goes on. This is what "games as a service" should be, and not whatever other companies seemingly want it to be. What a shining example of a future of games we could have.

The sheer amount of major updates this game has received over the years that were not DLCs and are completely free for anyone who already owns the game sometimes makes me questions whether I'm sleeping right now - thank you, Hello Games, for being such a miracle of a developer, this is just unbelievable.
