They filmed that the day after the movie first premiered, which was still a little bit before the official release. Chris Evans had a beard at the time cause he was filming Snowpiercer, so he had this big puffy prosthetic on his face to cover it, which is why he has his hand covering his face. The other actors mocked him relentlessly for how he looked haha. There’s actually a photo of the thing online somewhere.

The reason they kept showing the waitress, played by Ashely Johnson, is because there is a deleted scene from the beginning of the movie showing Steve Rogers having lunch in civilian clothes (and drawing Stark Tower) outside the cafe and her serving him. They have a quick chat and Stan Lee tells him to ask for her number. I think its supposed to be Steve thinking about whether he should try to become friends with Tony Stark since he was friends with Tony's father but being unsure due to Tony's narcisissistic style.

Fun fact, the end credit scene was filmed so much after the fact that Evans had to hide the facial hair he'd grown with his hand. The film came out in many countries before the US, so they wanted to add at least a little something extra for the US release.

Cap's character arc serves as the moral anchor for the MCU. Any group with the power dynamic as the Avengers have invites power worship. Cap is the grounded idea that this can never happen with the Avengers. Doing the right thing simply because it's the right thing to do, is something Stan Lee incorporated in Captain America, and it held the Avengers together, even when they were apart.

@jp3813
@jp3813 2 жыл бұрын
@@wearywanderer7018 It had to have more action to pad out the runtime b/c it was much thinner in plot and character development. Even Tony pointed out how stupid Loki's plan was. Whedon's inferiority to the Russo brothers was immediately proven when he actually had to provide a more detailed narrative in Age of Ultron. Hence, many consider Civil War as the first true Avengers sequel.
@wearywanderer7018
@wearywanderer7018 2 жыл бұрын
@@jp3813 “had to” have more action? Huh? They didn’t have 16 minutes of action in Endgame because it was too full of great characters and plot, that’s silly. That movie wasted a lot of time while The Avengers spent its time very well. Characters were very well written and the action (action isn’t pointless) was also spent well. In a lot of ways, Endgame is worse written that AOU. I’d say Endgame could have used more action since it was 3 hours long and half of the movie was virtually uneventful
@jp3813
@jp3813 2 жыл бұрын
@@wearywanderer7018 What you want is a fireworks show. The story is very thin: Loki riles up Earth's heroes to show his superiority only for it to backfire on him since they're now all working together. "Not a great plan." No surprises at all. Endgame actually has a complex story to tell and doesn't simply rely on action to entertain the audience. Allowing the characters to deal w/ loss, closing up their arcs by confronting the past, fending off a much bigger threat w/ more enemy varieties, etc... Even the final battle wasn't just the usual random scenes of heroes fighting minions since it mostly focuses on the gauntlet. There's an actual strategy rather than having a deus ex machina nuke solve everything. Hence, nobody misses Whedon in the MCU. People even hate the fact that he got his hands on the Justice League.

One of the best MCU movies- still in my top 5 to this day. By the way, vibranium isn't quite as durable as Asgardian uru, but it's very tough. In the comics vibranium is only about the 7th strongest of Marvel's fictional metals (strictly in terms of hardness/indestructibility) but it's the most versatile by far. What makes vibranium so awesome is its ability to absorb & redirect vibrations including kinetic energy impact- that's what alllows it to withstand massive attacks without being damaged.

Not to mention that Thor hit the shield with a blunt weapon that already evenly distributes force, so the shield had a much easier time repelling the energy. As opposed to a 3rd phase blade of the same material that very easily handles that shield

Oh gosh, this brings back SO many feelings and memories. It was the first really BIG hitting movies to the emotions and adrenaline - at least for me! We were definitely all cheering at that big fucking hammer slap straight onto Hulk's jaw, and a ton of other shots as well. And so, so many scenes of crying laughter. The first time I saw that "puny god" scene in-theater (13 times, no shame here) the whole theater laughed so hard none of us even caught the "puny god" line! Several more movies got some incredible reactions but I don't think I ever felt quite *so* physically and emotionally exhausted (in a good way) until I walked out of End Game ten years later. It was - is! - an incredible set of bookends on a story it took ten years to tell. I haven't seen Avengers in a long, long time. Watching even partial scenes of the interplay between the characters is incredible. It brings back a clearer image of the long, long character transformations of Iron Man from a law unto himself to the opposite end of the pendulum back to a more centered approach, and Captain America taking the opposite journey... of Banner learning to live with Hulk... of that friendship between Black Widow and Hawkeye that never really got any background but the two of them still managed to act out so well that the end and beyond to Ronin was heartbreaking... the still shattered relationship and the relatively undeveloped characters of Thor and Loki... people complain about "oh it's all superhero movies now!" but they were able to build those characters so that what seemed like one of the best superhero movies ever in 2012 became a scratch on the surface of what they built and continued to build. I've never enjoyed TV because the episodic nature means there's rarely ever a satisfying conclusion, but these serial movies are stories that you can sit down and watch in 2, 3 hours and have a great story all within the one, but that also do provide a little more context for everything else in that same universe, so that you can taste as little or as much of the story as you like. Anyway, that turned into a wall of text, but what I mean to say is, I love, love, LOVE seeing people react to these movies. It felt like a bonding experience with total strangers in the movies, and it feels a little like it again when I get to sit down and see it again with y'all who are kind enough to share your reactions with the rest of us.

Hi everyone. Very good video and very good editetd. Keep up with the good work. These days i am writing an Avengers fanfiction and i am from Norway so my english might not be the best, but i try. I am currently struggeling to match my oc Clare with one of the male avengers. She is very kind and do have a tendensy to apologice for some stuff that she doesnt have to apologice for just like Bruce. Her energy levels could be in a high tempo sometimes specially of she gets so bored that she gets restless, or tipsy or start to get a little drunk. She is very shy and in social arrangement like parties or go out on a bar she is very silent because she dont know what to talk about and like to observe and hear what others has to say, and she also doesnt just go to people and say hi and start conversations. She is stubborn and borned in the aries. She is in her thirties but looks like she is twenty five. She is a shield agent and like do background stuff instead of going on missions because of her autism. Her father has taken her to self defence courses before she became an agent. She is such a geek and knows a lot about different subjects so she is handy to have in quiz. Dogs and cats tends to like her and she is fond of cats and dogs. Her sels esteem is some kinda low and she loves to make people smile and them happy and she is bubbeling. She likes to drink and therefore know a lot about wine, beer and so on. She is half Norwegian and half american. She cant handle long distant relationships and she has figured out from she was young that its not her thing. So who would you match her with and why? Thanks for the help everyone and have a happy new year. Im hoping that the new year ahead will give you a lot of joy and your wishes come true. Hugs from a 35 year old woman from Norway.

Mjolnir is made from "uru metal," a metal created by a dying star, and can only be melted for forging through that same source. Mjolnir was made by the same dwarf (Eitri) in Nidavellir that made his Stormbreaker Axe in Endgame, using the same metal and process. It's stronger than Vibranium, which is only the strongest metal on Earth, and even stronger when enchanted by magic (Odin). It reacts to Cap's shield that way because of Vibranium's unique properties of being completely vibration resistant and being hit with a blunt object (something uru doesn't share), and that's also how Thanos destroyed the shield later with the bladed weapon he forced Eitri to make him from uru metal.
@billbill6094
@billbill6094 11 ай бұрын
Well vibranium isn't the strongest metal on Earth in the comics, and Thor's hammer was enfused with a cosmic universe-destroying thunderstorm that Odin trapped into it, not just magic enchantments. Odin is by far the strongest god but Thor has more _potential_ by far.

Also Tony was brought up in luxury while Rogers was basically poor and in the military, their both leaders in a way so when two powerhouses collide it doesn’t always end well

Shawarma is pretty good! It’s like meat (usually chicken or lamb) in a pita bread thing with some sauces and stuff. Ate them like crazy on deployments

But he still Said no to being a consultant. If he said no to that, why ask him to join you on another project? Probably don't want to be bothered with him or think he's going to say no again. Buy thank you so much for the correction and clarification.

@@HelloMellowXVI Hey man! He did actually accept the consultation as well, the price was getting that dick senator to present him with his medal :) At least that's how I read it :) Very much enjoyed the review dude, your self-inserts are hilarious :)

The waitress they kept showing near the end of the movie was Beth played by Ashley Johnson. She was meant to be Captain America's love interest but they decided against it and left out the scene where they meet.

25:12 Agents of Shield was cannon. It’s tied into the main MCU story multiple times. Phil’s death and resurrection. The fall of shield and rise of hydra during the actions from Captain America, Winter soldier we see the other side of that in AOS. We see Lady Sif from Thor and they reference there past. AOS is cannon for the first few seasons and that was stated by MCU heads on many occasions
