i'm Asian too and my eyelashes are pin straight and any mascara weighs it down!!! my fave mascara that doesn't weigh down my lashes is benefit badgal bang (not the volumizing one) it's my holy grail mascara. it's definitely for a more natural look. i usually apply a light coat and wait for it to dry and then apply the rest and my lashes look so nice i highly recommend it!!

I know this video is old but girl! I just had a lash lift and it’s life changing. Your lashes are curled 24/7 and can get wet and have mascara applied to them. Look into it. My eyelashes are similar to yours. Loved this review.

TIPS FOR KEEPING UR LASHES CURLED WITHOUT A PRIMER: use a hairdryer to heat up ur lash curler! make sure it cools off a bit since ur eyes are more sensitive! and it’ll last the whole day with mascara (especially waterproof mascara)

Have been eyeing on this for a month. My HG is IT Cosmetics's Blowout Mascara and Glossier Lash Slick. Great for my straight Asian eyelashes. Blowout Mascara's applicator has a slight curve but not as extremely curvy as Better than Sex, which fits my eye shape.

Thank you for your honest review. I’ve seen other videos of people reviewing this mascara & you can clearly see their eyelashes are clumpy & they still say they love it. My eyelashes are not straight & they’re kinda curly & it did the same thing to me: it clumped my eyelashes. This mascara didn’t work for me. I actually think it’s horrible

Sadly this mascara weighed down my Asian eyelashes too! My favorites are the Maybelline Falsies Push Up Angel (super lightweight, makes my eyelashes look very long and wispy for a nice daytime look) and the Loreal Lash Paradise (super volumous and dramatic for an event or night time look), both in waterproof of course! I'd highly recommend either of them :) Neither smudge on my bottom lash line either, which is a common problem for me.

Thanks for this! Been curious about this mascara when I was transitioning to mascaras with cleaner ingredients while pregnant, but was hesitant exactly for the reason too whether it’ll work for Asian lashes! Don’t feel like you’re bashing the mascara - it just didn’t work for you! And helps the Asian community out here.🙂 been using 100% pure lengthening mascara which has surprisingly worked decently well with my Asian lashes so sticking to that and the Japanese kiss me mascaras!

never curl your lashes after mascara! They will rip out eventually. And if your going to apply more layers do it while it’s wet! Also I love this mascara because it works for me!

Great video! You could do one eye with and one eye without primer to test the difference. I wonder if your lashes might keep the curl with less mascara applied? I have similar lashes and doing just one thin coat holds curl better and looks less clumpy than applying more and more

For some serious curl girls, Peripera Ink Mascara is insane. It's a really hardcore mascara and when it dries it doesn't budge. Not good for lengthening. But just a little of the Ink Mascara keeps my tiny straight lashes curled. Make sure to curl them before hand obvi, only apply 1 coat as it doesn't layer up very well. It's pretty waterproof.

This was very helpful! Ive been thinking if trying this but I think Ill hold off for $24. I have lashes just like yours, but I wear falsies most days because I love the dramatic look. BUT when I do go with just mascara, I have had amazing results with the Cover Girl “Super Sizer” in waterproof. After a full day (8+ hours) my lashes were still curled, even after I took the mascara off!

I am 60 yo and this is the absolute BEST mascara I have ever used and I have tried them all. It is a tubing mascara. You cannot let dry between coats! Will literally slide off with water. No smudging or smearing at all! I have worn it for more that 20 hours without any smudging even on the lower lashes. Even after wearing for that amount of time, I rubbed my eyes and still no smearing! I have it delivered regularly and give it away to my family and friends and they love it also! Please try it again! You won't be sorry!

That happens with tubing mascara, it doesn’t build and it clumps and balls up if you try to. I find them OKAY for adding just a natural looking lash since I’ve got invisible blonde lashes but it doesn’t do a whole lot extra.

Better than sex waterproof version is great for straight short asian lashes. Holds the curl, adds beautiful volume, and lengths. I do warn you it can transfer for your lower lashes if you’re a very oily person like myself.

I saw the add on FB then went on their actual website and saw the 7 thousand + views and skimmed through surprisingly there were no pictures or video like how other ecom sites has their comment section set up as. The product had mostly positive reviews and a few had chosen Thrive over Better than sex (my favorite) but I''m still skeptical because I am a "See it to believe it" kind of gal so I thought I do a quick search on KZbin and found your video because I'm Asian too and have similar lashes. I don't see a big difference it made your lashes thicker but not extend it. So I don't need to purchase it maybe I'll try if it was given as a sample.

It's really important that you curl your lashes properly before applying mascara if you want to prevent flaking/smudging. I made a video on this recently if you want to check it out! The reason why your mascara isn't working the best is because your lashes touch your face if they're not properly curled, and the oils that your face produces breaks down your mascara

I have sparse lashes that are just average length on top of it. I feel like I have tried sooooo many mascara's and haven't liked any of them. I was hoping Thrive might be my lash miracle but nah. I give up on mascara. I'm going to try fake eyelashes next.

You can use rapidlash to grow your lashes (every night without fail and I started seeing results after about 5 weeks, I've used it for about 3 years now and my lashes are twice as long and thick from when I started). You have to curl your lashes with a lash curler that fits your eye shape (if you have flatter bone structure that is typically Asian, then Shiseido or Surratt would be good), then apply drugstore WATERPROOF mascara. You have to remove it every night with a duo-phase eye makeup remover but I honestly don't know what the big deal is. It takes less time than applying fake lashes and removing them.

You should try the MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Lash mascara! It's also $24. I got it as a sample and it does a rlly good job adding length to my lashes. Only problem is that it smudges a bit so by the end of the day the bottom or my eyes look like a raccoon sometimes. Usually doesn't happen tho.

I have long ass lashes naturally I don't trust mascara
