Helloween "Power" Live Reaction!

The one who started power metal.. My fav band of all times. Helloween started with Kai Hansen as singer who also the lead guitarist. He's later replaced by Michael Kiske and later replaced by this singer, Andy Deris. Kai n Kiske is now back with the band and they touring all around the world. Lucky enough to be able to watch them in KL. Regards from Malaysia..

Helloween is an amazing band overflowing with talent. They’ve been around for so long and never disappoint. I think they are actually at the top of their game now and I expect their new album this year to be a masterpiece. If you want to do another reaction video, give “Sole Survivor” a listen... just a great, fun spirited, kick ass song with amazing riffs and hooks. Enjoy!

Deris is my favourite singer. You should listen to Forever and One, Secret Alibi, I Can. Another awesome live performance you have to give a try is the one from High Live DVD.

Good evening, what a great reaction to the God Fathers of Power Metal Helloween, and their excellent song Power. Helloween have been around since 1984 and still going strong, you have so much great music of theirs to enjoy and react to. Thanks for taking the time to react to these gods. This was my exact reaction when I discovered Helloween. I was like "wait a minute, they are not just screaming?". This band is around since the 80's and had 3 different singers: Kai Hansen, Michael Kiske and Andi Deris (this one). This band have tons os great music but the one I would recommend is Halloween. The live version from the pumpkins united tour is awesome, because they got the old and current singers on it. You can find on the Nuclear Blast's youtube channel.

Kai is more trash metal, Kiske is more power metal and Deris sings whatever he was. The man is crazy.

The Andi Duris era of Helloween, from the beginning of the new decade, and still with them.. With the departure of Michael Kiske, and Kai Hansen(now have reunited) , and a few others, this is the true line up of them now. the current line up is now has now added Michael & Kai and it is Pumpkins United.

European metal is a different thing from most American metal today. I probably listen to more European bands than American bands these days. I discovered these guys back in '87 when they got a little bit of attention on MTV here, and have been a fan ever since.

Congratulations. You discovered accidentally the god fathers of power metal and big infuence of the early Symphonic Metal bands. Also it is really funny this Stereotype about metal. The orginal metal bands from 80's had and still has super talented singers as most of the modern bands.

yes!! glad that you liked them. i've been lucky to watch them live, twice, and as you said, its hell of a party! if you wanna go deeper, try Eagle fly free, I want out, or Where the rain grows, for the "radio friendly" and catchy tunes. Or you could try Midnight sun, Mr. torture, and Soul survivor for some heavy riffs. Or Halloween, Keeper of the seven keys and The king for 1000 years, for an opera-esque vibe. In most cases, you might struggle with live video quality, but i think it wont stop you to feel their fun and energy on stage. I dont know why theres no suggestions for this band, but i assume that most of their hardcore fans are already in their 50s, and seems doesnt really care about YT. Hence your 'kinda low' views 😂 But hell man, they define power metal since 1985, influenced many younger musicians, and already made their name on the metal world.

@@TheRealMediaMan @MediaMan oops sorry my bad. i just went there, and victims of fate, and will watch your nightwish reaction ofc. Helloween describes their music as "happy metal" on a few occasions. Perfectly fitting pun, as many of their songs indeed very melodic with uplifting vibe. Moreover, some of them contains hilarious and playful theme. You rarely found/find metal songs talking about video games (the game is on), a cringy narcissist (perfect gentleman), or online BDSM service (mr. torture). Their view of the current issue in the world and how they shape it into a powerful metal song, created my fondness and admiration towards them. Ofcourse they have many fantasy-themed songs, an icing on the cake. As of their 3 singers, I have to admit, Kai's vocals wasnt really my taste too. Dont feel too bad about it. For me, perhaps because i started at Keeper part II, with Michael Kiske as frontman. Michi was (and still is) awesome, but in certain way, I prefer Andi's style more. English is my 3rd language, and i dont even have to read the lyrics to get his words. And his vocal style suited my ears the most.

This is power metal. Helloween laid the foundation stone of this style. Screaming is Deth metal or Black metal. You will definitely like folk power metal such as Falconer. Also try Kamelot Song for Jolee or Sacrimony. Also very good Freedom Call Metal is for Everyone. Try also progress power metal Neobliviscaris Intra Venus
