Very few people recognize the symbolism of Verosika having the heart of the cake. She was saving it for someone who needs it (or herself because she feels she needs the catharsis of eating his heart the most). Also the fact that the heart is meant to be black, and by giving it to Blitz (who she finally called by name instead of an insult or Blitzo), she recognized that by his heartfelt confession of wanting to change, his heart wasn’t as black as she believed, and no longer wanted it.

A cool thing about these last two episodes is that they make for a good test of how closely you’ve been paying attention to the way Blitzø and Stolas’ relationship has been changing and evolving over the series, and how their various character flaws, painful histories, and faltering self-images have affected their perception of their relationship. A not-so-cool thing about these last two episodes is that said test is a test that many, many, _many_ people have positively _flunked._

@FenrirWolf2035 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's sad. Like, I've seen so many people going like "Oh, Blitz messed up. How could he do that. He didn't care at all about Stolas", and I can't help but wondering if we were looking at the same show. Yeah, Blitz messed up, but so did Stolas. Blitz has his self-hatred clouding his judgement and making him believe that no one could love him, and he can't comprehend it (I know what that is like, and it doesn't matter how much the other person tells you, you can't believe them, because you can't see a reason to love yourself, and if you can't see anything good about yourself, how is anyone gonna see it? It even comes to a point where you wish they dumped you because you feel like a burden to them), and Stolas is not much better, since he dominates the conversation, like, he says when and how, he doesn't realize that he actually shuts off Blitz every time, because he is oblivious of the power he has. He doesn't understand that people aren't able to process things the same way he does, because he wants things to be so perfect, he has this grandious idea of how their relationship should be, and doesn't understand that Blitz isn't like that, he is terrible at being sappy, and it makes sense, but Stolas has the empathy of a rock, because he knows his feelings, but can't even begin to comprehend others, specially not Blitz, and I still find it infuriating the hypocrisy of Stolas saying he wants to give Blitz the chance to decide if he wants to stay or go, but didn't even give him time to process anything, actively withheld information just to make the reveal about the asmodean crystal impactful (even though he saw that Blitz was begging him), like, let's be honest, Stolas was unnecesarily cruel and cryptic with someone who he knows can't even write correctly simple words. Part of the reason this episode leaves a bad taste in my mouth is that, it's so focused on how shitty blitz has been, but ignores the problems with the way Stolas treated Blitz, which was also quite hurtful (maybe I'm biased, since I see myself reflected in Blitz. Not in the stalking part, but the whole "you might be better without me" part). I hope we get an episode about the part that Stolas needs to improve, since if Blitz has learned something from this, I think Stolas will also have to learn from his mistakes before they can even think about coming back.

Stolas has his own issues but it doesnt erase the fact many other people were massively screwed over by Blitz and maybe that will make him realize the amount of pain he has caused to others and himself. If so many ppl feel fucked over by you maybe you are also a problem. Blitz IS shitty to many many characters. There are reasons for it but it doesnt give him a free pass to do whatever he wants. You are right abt Stolas starting the convo terribly last ep but i feel you are giving him too much credit in understanding social situations. This man has been sheltered his whole life. He doesnt even have any friends. In his mind it was probably a great surprise even if it was a terrible idea. Also with this whole "not giving him time", if Blitz didnt ruin it by saying its a joke and a kinky roleplay then it could have ended differently. I feel liek ppl completely gloss over the fact that that was what set Stolas off. Having his feelings reduced to sex and then it just turned into a screaming monlogue from Blitz which is.... yeah. I genuinely will never understand ppl thinking Blitz yelling and calling Stolas names is right and Stolas should just sit and listen to it.

@@fluffy_magnus I have seen a few of those too, and they also tend to make me wonder what is going on (specially since I saw that some of those are before the whole full moon episode, at least the ones I found, but probably some people will have doubled down with that one focussing only on one side). I said Blitz was the one that they were blaming, because that's the one I saw the most since the full moon episode aired, but being honest, except the ones pointing the hypocrisy about wanting to give someone the chance to choose and then overpowering the conversation, I don't agree with many of their takes (I mean, there were people saying that Blitz was in a stockholm syndrome sittuation, and it was like, "What?!"). I don't defend what Blitz did, he has caused pain to others due to his inability to believe that they might actually love him, and his tendency to go the nuclear route (like Verosika says, he has a gift to delivering his message in the shittiest way possible, which I think it's a defense mechanism, like, "they are getting too close, I don't want to be hurt, I'm going to make it so easy for them to fall out of it, so that I don't have to deal with the idea I might love that person."), because that's his biggest flaw, he doesn't want to be vulnerable, because he thinks it's easier that way, because then no one will be able to hurt him (without realizing that only leaves you hollow, since we as people need to have relationships, friends, family, whatever it might be to live) That doesn't excuse him, but makes him sympathetic, since you see how tragic it is that he is his own worst enemy. And with Stolas, I have a similar feeling, like, yeah, he isn't exactly perfect either, he has a grandious idea of what love is (due to his telenovelas and romcoms and all that, which seems to be his only knowledge of love), and he seems to be really bad at reading the sittuation, however, that isn't an excuse either, because if that was the case, Blitz would have the same pass because he can't even understand that others love him, and like I said, that makes him sympathetic, but doesn't justify it. Stolas has to understand that he has belittled him time and time again (even if in his mind, it was just a game and made in an endearing way), and that has taken a toll on Blitz (due to the fact that he also thinks really low of himself), because that could've been solved if both had talked, but we all know that's easier said than done, because we are prideful individuals and sometimes get too wrapped up in our own view. Also, I'll say, it doesn't help that much that this episode focused so much on how much of a jerk Blitz is, because in some situations, they gave Stolas a free pass just to have him be petty (which I like petty Stolas, but I can see some people worried about the show ignoring Stolas' problems), like for example, when he asked when had he ever looked down on him, or when they don't talk about how Stolas was the one who made this deal into a favours for favours type of deal. Also, in defense of Blitz, the whole joke and kinky roleplay thing I believe that he actually believed it to be like that, because he can't even fathom the idea that someone would love him, so, I think that giving him such a hard time for it feels unwarranted, since if Stolas had let him understand it, think would've also been much different (that whole conversation was a complete disaster, not gonna lie, they both messed up badly there, and it ended the way it ended) This episode does the great job of making Blitz realize how much he has hurt others, and in that front, his talk with Verosika makes it sink in really well, but like I said, this episode depends so much on how they continue, because if Stolas doesn't have his own wake up call, then the whole story about Stolas and Blitz will lose a lot of nuance, which is what makes their story so good, that they are so flawed and full of contradictions. I have said it many times, but their relationship feels really human due to it, but it won't end well unless they both improve their ways, if not, this could become a really toxic relationship, and I wouldn't like that, because honestly, they are one of the few couples I can say I hope they end up together, because they seem to make each other happy.

Yeah. The whole situation is both their fault. But I think the way both of them are handling the break up is heavily more bad on Blitz's side. I think the reason the relationship didn't work is both their fault, but Blitz is just being destructive once it's over. That's more the focus of the episode. Blitz is more coming to terms with his own issues and that he should give Stolas his space. Stolas will probably have his own moment. But for now, Stolas and Blitz need time to grow. And Blitz needs to allow that to happen.

I wouldn't say everyone, it seems quite split at the moment. Do you seriously think things could've gone differently? It was never going to work out between them. Things wouldn't have gotten to this point in the first place if it wasn't transactional. The relationship being transactional was the only thing keeping Blitz from sabotaging it. That much should be obvious from Blitz's previous relationships. Stolas messed up by creating a transactional relationship with such a major power imbalance. The correct decision would've been to either give Blitz an Asmodean Crystal at the start or simply taking the book back and cutting contact. However, he has now corrected that mistake by freeing Blitz and ending the transactional relationship. If we want to talk about the main reason Blitz and Stolas can't be in an actual relationship, it's Blitz. He is simply incapable of being in a proper relationship at the moment.
@SS-ui7by5 ай бұрын
Blitz was the one who landed himself in the mess because he stole the immensely powerful artifact of a powerful prince. He would've gotten in trouble either way but he pity fucked him. Stolas had NO feelings for blitz in the beginning, he was starting that deal solely for his pleasure and fantasy fulfillment from a childhood "friend" he was attached to. They BOTH were absolutely using each other in the beginning. He REALLY did not mind fucking stolas. It was only the constant condescension he minded and that too only when he started getting attached himself. Otherwise it wouldn't have hurt, it would've built irritation not pain. Stolas made the wrong decision by proposing this transactional agreement but he also made amends by providing blitz with a better and much safer alternative and also by cutting contact. There is nothing tying them together. Stolas has no obligation to do anything to blitz, nothing but his own conscience to make amends or leave blitz on a better note. Blitz WANTS stolas. And after full moon, blitz is the major issue ruining their relationship. Stolas' classism is easy to overcome because he's a willing student and doesnt WANT to actually be classist. Ideally stolas should come to the conclusion himself, that his constant subtle classism chafes against the man he loves but its not wrong to give him some pointers, and he's royal, he's not gonna understand the problem with "impish plaything" until blitz spells it out for him. And blitz SHOULD, its good communication . Stolas constantly is clearly communicating his needs to blitz and blitz only, is the one who ignores them all. Just as it is clear that blitz won't come to heal and stop seeing himself in a poor light without external help i.e stolas, m&m, loona, fizz they're all gonna be needed to help him overcome his self hate, stolas needs some external help too, to remove his flaws in this relationship. But do many people are just blatantly against stolas doing anything smdh. But Blitz still is the major hurdle to stolitz, his life in general.

The opposite of love isn’t hate, but silence. Love is the willingness to be with someone through thick and thin, Hate is the feeling of disgust or anger toward being told by any means that you can’t but Silence..? Silence is the opposite of love. The reemergence of the feelings before love. No care, no want or need to be with them just.. silence. Hatred isn’t the opposite of Love but rather it’s excess, it’s love’s twisted cousin. But silence.. truly moving on, resetting things to how they were before this only leaving the knowledge of what was to still exist? That is love’s opposite.

19:44 I'm pretty sure Stolas meant here that Blitzo didn't meant to hurt him, because he (Blitzo) didn't meant to do anything with this relationship. He meant it towards Blitzo, not that Blitzo meant nothing to him. He obviously did and still does. But now he sees that Blitzo didn't really cared about him or this relationship. In this context we're talking about purposeful hurting, not accidental. So Stolas is "I don't think you were malicious towards me, because you were indifferent to my existence." rather than "you mean nothing to me" Just something i feel like i needed to argue. I might be wrong, it's more or less up to interpretation, but that meaning makes more sense to me. Also, i feel like Verosika is kinda putting on act about her hating Blitzo THIS aggressively. She obviously has anger issues, and is in rehab, so her violently stabbing a cake might be just that.... But she even stated that this whole thing is her way of helping others getting over Blitzo, so i could see her being so outwardly violent as a way to encourage people to express their emotions, their grief, disappointment, frustration, anguish and hopelessness instead of bottling it inside.

There's something I'd like to point out that I feel a lot of people are forgetting in the whole debate about whose fault all this is. Cold take: its both their faults. Yes, Stolas is the one who established the contractual nature of the relationship. HOWEVER, Blitzø is the one who changed the dynamic by inviting Stolas to Ozzy's under false pretenses. Stolas perceived that as a date invitation outside of their usual arrangement. Of course that went to shit really quick. I'm not sure if Stolas realized that Blitzø invited him as an excuse to get into the club but I DO know that a lot was going on in so little time when he showed up with the headspace of "guy I've been crushing on invited me on a date." He was neither warned nor prepared to be under fire by both Fizz and Ozzy because Blitzø decided to defend Moxxie and Millie. The night ended in disaster but my point still stands. Blitzø is the one who gave Stolas the cue to start expecting/wanting more by taking him out on a date. Each person had a hand in the establishment and shifted dynamic of this dumpster fire relationship. They both gave mixed signals that the other couldn't read because Stolas took Blitzø at face value and Blitzø didn't take anything seriously/at face value to protect himself.

Scars he got from nearly burning alive that’s a concert reminder of how he ruined many peoples lives that started the loop. He accidentally killed his mother and horribly disfiguring his best friend. Blitz having self-worth issues as a burn victim makes a lot of sense it’s not really fair to him that stolas is mad he is not romantic enough when it’s clear his actions say that he does care the only thing he’s done wrong is be broken That’s not really something to apologize for but he still did in his own way it just wasn’t romantic enough.

Regarding Strikers first attempt in Harvest Moon Stolas was at the table while his wife was screaming about the hit on the phone with Striker. Stolas didn’t realize because he was tuning her out. Stolas had previously hired I.M.P. to provide security for an outing, and they did take out several threats, which would indicate to Blitz that Stolas KNEW he was being targeted. Stolas has repeatedly talked down to Blitz, referencing his lower station at least once.

@chrisrose93175 ай бұрын
@@gatchywatchyentertainmentb2090 I get that, but so many of Stolas' problems could be solved if he just payed attention to the people around him. I'm not one to talk. I understand trying to immerse yourself in fantasy in order to cope with shitty situations, and I feel like that's an autistic trait we share, but he ignores his daughter's feelings, his wife's threats, and how his treatment affects those of lower class, including Blitz. Just the way he ignores the fact that his butler is a living breathing person, is frankly a red flag. Dude needs to realize that and work on it. I'm not trying to shit on him. He's much better than the rest of the royals he's around, but he's so involved with this idea of him and /specifically/ Blitz being equals, that he ignores the reality of how the power dynamic can actually affect him and other lower class demons. I'm sure that one kid at the hospital wasn't trying to offend Blitz by calling him a "fire toad' but the fact remains that it's still offensive, and while I understand roleplay "Impish Plaything" can come of really hurtful when one involves the context. Stolas was not in a bedroom when he called Blitz that in front of the humans. It sounded like someone was messing with his favorite pet or toy. Sorry for the rant.

To correct something in the song with Stolas, he meant that he knows Blitz never meant to hurt him because it didn't meant anything to Blitz and not that it didn't meant anything to Stolas. Watching this over and over makes me see the pattern that Blitz does. Anyone who Self Sabotages during a relationship usually try to cut ties in a way by using the love that was there and bastardizing it by making all of it sound worst of then it is as an attack towards the one they love. Blitz did have a lot of sexual stuff that happen with Stolas, so he keeps harping on that over and over to make Stolas feel very bad about themself so they hate Blitz and Blitz has a reason to justify his attitude when in the opposite, he enjoyed some of those moment. Verosika said he was a fun loving guy till he broke it off the moment she said she loved him. Giving him his heart shaped cake of himself. Stolas wants a certain romance to happen but also forgets that heartbreak is a part of that, arguing is a part of that too but he is right in how he feels since all that was afforded to him was responsibilities to his position. Both have never been able to find love that sticks yet Blitz makes it so much harder on himself. I mean how many people can say you get with so many people that they make a hate party dedicated to how much they cared and became totally ruined by his actions. Heck even in the beginning with Stolas when they grew older and Blitz genuinely was there to steal the book instead of being there for a friend. Deep down, this is one person he will definitely have to face up to after so much has happened. I think Blitz can but will have to face himself in a heavy way to do that. I wish they didn't make us wait for sooooo long bruhhh lol. It hurts

This was how I felt when watching the episode that introduced Verosika concerning Blitz and Loona's relationship drama; it was not solved by the end of the episode nor has it yet still. And I love that, I miss a show made me want something out of it instead of wrapping every conflict within the next episode. I feel it's so rare these days for a show to have two characters have some kind of conflict in their relationship last through developing set of events instead of a single eye opening moment. Which is why I love a lot of the older Shojo mangas/animes because those normally mix a lot of smaller conflicts that are solved immediately with bigger conflicts that span entire volumes/episodes before anything is resolved. InuYasha has to be one of the best examples of having a slow burn romance that lasted the entire series while also having relationship dynamics that changed overtime and not instantly with an enemy popping up to teach them the lesson through the battle.
@harleyhart14975 ай бұрын
Here's the reasons why I think Blitzø thinks he doesn't deserve love; 1) he accidently killed his mom and still doesn't forgive himself 2) he can't believe anyone could ever love him because of who he is 3) he f'd up his relationship with his sister 4) maimed Fizz for life (accidently) 5) he communicates via emotion and raw feelings, not lengthy conversations, and feels that his partners don't understand that 6) his upbringing (cough, his father, cough) was shit 7) he KNOWS he screwed up so many relationships but gries to ignore it and blames himself but doesn't let others see that 8) he doesn't know how to show love. Sorry, therapist moment. Most of this is theory but it does make sense. Plus, Stolas f'd up too, mainly by not understanding a lot of the aforementioned points and by wanting a fantasy romance, not realistic. Also, what Blitz said near the start about him thinking a prince like Stolas could never love him is TRUE! HOW DO PEOPLE MISS THAT!?

You’re kinda ignoring Stolas a bit here. The guy wanted to get through to Blitzo so bad, but the moment Blitzo didn’t tell him what he wanted he began to completely ignore him. Seriously, when Blitzo attempted to lay it out and ask for a minute to think when he realized Stolas was serious, Stolas just ignored him and all that did was piss Blitzo off until he blew up. Literally, up until that night, Stolas had never given any indication to Blitzo that he was worth anything to him beyond their transactional fling. Now, in this episode, Stolas continues to completely brush him off and only engages to antagonize him. When Blitzo does try to be honest, he has no reason to believe Stolas is taking him seriously and this compounds the issue. All he had to do was try to actually level with Blitzo for an actual conversation either that first night or by the pool in this episode. He says he doesn’t view Blitzo as beneath him but never actually acts like he feels that way. Stolas is quite arrogant and seriously thinks that everyone should just believe something because he says it, regardless of how his actions actually make it look. Ultimately, neither of them can let go of their distorted pride. All it would have taken was if either of them did so. The reason this is such a big deal to me is because thinking Stolas isn’t seriously fucking up in his way here makes him seem like less of a character and more of a goal for Blitzo or something. We have followed him for almost as long, after all. He has limited social experience, is used to people doing as he says, never took the time to even attempt to understand Blitzo, and is trying to get back at Blitzo for not immediately falling in line. Both of them make mistakes here and Blitzo definitely fucked up very biggly, but Stolas absolutely didn’t help the situation. Again, all Stolas had to do was hear Blitzo out in the previous episode when he realized Stolas was serious and actually attempt to give him a moment and talk with him. Instead, he immediately tried to block him out, ignored the part where Blitzo was trying to be honest, and only reacted when Blitzo started to actually get mad at him. This shit is great because it’s still in character for both of them and I’m very curious where it will go from here.
