Working in retail, I've actually had a lot of moments shown like in the interactions with customers. Including seeing that one "old friend" or "old potential girlfriend you had a crush on." You run into your past life, knowing where you are now, and what could have been but never was, knowing how much everyone else in your life has moved on with their own lives and you're just there, lost in the moment and memories of your own existence.

He probably didn't have time to generate original customers, so he just reused previous characters. It's actually impressive how much he put together on such short notice. He *is* great at making adventures, and if the Digital Circus was one of those games people could hop in and out of he'd be phenomenal. He's just really out of his depth having to tend to people long term...

Nux so far it hasn't been stated that the characters lost their memories as a whole, the only true confirmation of lost memories we have is Caine's statement in Ep 1 about how nobody remembers their name when they enter the Digital Circus. Pomni in Ep 1 clearly remembered having put on a headset before entering the digital world. Kinger in Ep 3 while in a dark environment could briefly remember his life as he not only made a comment about computer science experience but he also gave a clear description about his wife prior to her losing her mind. And in this Ep Gangle can clearly remember their time working as a fast food manager. It's possible that the characters just collectively decide that not actively talking about their past was for the best, otherwise they might end up losing their mind that much more quickly.

Gangle suggested the fast food adventure to return to a place of familiarity in hopes of finding comfort. Only to realize that it was only soul-crushingly familiar, but not comforting at all. Also, I think her “sad mask” isn’t actually a mask; it’s just her face. And she is finally realizing that she doesn’t need a mask to actually feel something other than sadness. And notice how all of them got the same score, even though some were definitely doing a better job than others. Just like real life, working harder just gets you more work and no recognition.

I just realized...... Pomni tried to help gangle because of what she and kinger talked about in the last episode..... The worst thing you can do is make someone feel they aren't loved, also kinger helped her get over her fears in the haunted mansion so she is helping gangle as a way to "pay it forward".... Don't get me wrong pomni seems like a nice person but I feel like her experience with kinger got her to see the rest of the gang more as friends and not just other people.

I rewatched all the episodes and I completely forgot that in episode 2 she says to gummygoo "I don't want anyone to feel that way" after his mental breakdown. Though in the first episode she clearly had no problem abandoning ragatha in favor of trying to escape the circus. Fun fact btw in pomni's nightmare where she dreams that she is thrown in the cellar with the abstracted, the only people she sees mocking her as she descends are Cain, jaxs, and ragatha.... She saw through ragatha's nice act immediately which is honestly interesting given that she recommended gangle talk to ragatha about feeling depressed.

I dont think it's an afterlife, they just managed to survive but with consequences for life, and the C&A company offered some hospital patients the ability to "live life once again" They obviously don't seem like they're controlling the characters with controllers too, and if we don't wanna write that off as "it's a cartoon", which is most likely the answer, it could be that they're indeed controlling the characters via brain signals, as they can't really move their real body

Ragatha was just completely "on the sauce". I can relate to her and Gangle though. I work in retail in a supervisory position, and sometimes you have to make that choice of pissing people off if you want to do your job correctly, whether they are an employee or a customer. And yeah, the anxiety takes its toll. But it's not as bad because we can all sneak in moments where we can be real with each other and express some of the shared frustrations. But this episode was showing a more toxic work environment where the staff doesn't really get along that well and are just kind of coexisting. It just hits hard.

I think there's an interesting bit about the employee scores at the end of the episode. Everyone on the adventure got a B+. I think this may be because Cain as an AI might be programmed to not intentionally hurt the humans in his care. The sole exception in score is for Kinger who wasn't in the adventure but got an A+. While Kinger wasn't in the adventure his suggestion gave Cain an excuse to force Zooble into an adventure which is something he's been trying to do for a while now it seems.

So, interesting theory that has sprung up thanks to this episode with Gangle. She got mangled (Notice her name is gangle, one letter away from mangle) in a car crash/got hit by a car and the digital circus was the only way they could let her move around again even if in a digital world. (Or the only way to save her 'life' as it were if it was that severe.) And since you don't really remember you joining the circumstances joining the circus consciously, she doesn't remember such a traumatic thing since it the series of events would be hit by car > into circus from her perspective. Point is, the idea is that each episode about a character will point out the circomstances on how they got into the circus. Like before using this theory Kinger shot his wife by accident, and transferred her into TADC to save her, and to not be away from her also joined it.
