What a lot of people miss is that Blitzo didn't shoot the creepy fan on purpose. Remember, he's there to help Ozzy show Fizz he needs to quit. He had two easy headshots, both justified, and you SEE him stop both times. He's keeping Fizz safe while driving home the message that this life is toxic for him. He only delivers the killshot when the creep is ACTUALLY a threat, and Ozzy is there to talk to him.

@@yvonnethompson844 I also feel like the scene implicates that Bliz WAS going to kill him in that moment, but then he realize how freaked out Fizz is and killing the dude in that moment would probably just make it worse for Fizz making him freak out even more. So really Blitz took a very calculated decision in that moment in doing what was best for Fizz and how to best make him calm down. Which was so thoughtful, and really a moment of how much Blitz actually care which was sweet. Blitz don't care about killing people, he does it all the time, but Fizz's mental state was more important to him in that moment. It was very sweet in my mind. also the next moment he rushes over and grabs Fizz genuinely asking him if he's okay, only to be thrown away by Mammon, he was being such a good friend in this episode. It was just lovely! I can't wait to see more of these two just being wholesome :)

As someone who struggles with an anxiety disorder triggered by an inferiority complex, Fizz's panic attack really hit me hard. As soon as he was pulling at his collar to breathe, I was like, "been there, done that". (At a previous job, I got in trouble for loosening my collar for that reason, and the boss wouldn't accept "I was just trying to breathe" as an excuse.) The difficulty breathing, difficulty speaking, uncontrollable shaking, trying to talk yourself into being okay when you're not -- it's all too familiar. I only wish I always had an Ozzie there to help keep me stable every time 😂 It's especially hard when it's about a job as opposed to a relationship, because the idea of "just quitting" to get away means you're risking literal poverty and starvation, so you can't really just leave a lot of the time. It's truly like an abusive relationship where your partner will hurt or kill you if you leave, except you can't call the cops because it's all legal.

Small part that solidifies your point on relationships and abusive manipulation, isolation, and control: When the Creep former fan was harassing Fizz and Blitz hit him with the butt of the gun, Blitz went to Fizz to try and help him. Right then and there is when Mammon finally teleported in, and not to help, but to separate Blitz and try to force Fizz to say he's fine and get ready to perform. He physically forced Blitz away who was only trying to calm down Fizz from a panic attack. Clear isolation to manipulate. Ozzie on the other hand kept trying to prove that Fizz did not need to be perfect, nor do anything to keep Ozz's heart. He loved all of Fizz, even his flaws. Also awwww Nikki, I'm happy Chad is like Ozzie for you. I hope to have someone like that for me one day. ^-^

I've seen people say that he probably knows sign language due to losing his voice after the accident, which would make sense since his vocal cords have obviously been affected so it wouldn't be surprising if there was a time he possibly couldn't speak. And the idea that the horns represent their hearing, so if one is broken they have less hearing in it or possibly deaf. The two ideas are cool and would make complete sense why fizz knows sign language. I would also love it if ozzie knew sign language himself, it'd just be so adorable seeing the two having a conversation through sign language.

The current fan theory is that Imp horns perform the equivalent function of the human ears, they turn vibrations in the air into sound… Notice the little deaf Imp (who has been officially named ‘Oliver’) also has broken horns… When Fizz was badly injured in the circus explosion that also destroyed his arms and legs, he also lost most of his horns, his vocal cords were also damaged (hence his raspy ‘froggy’ voice) and he probably lost his hearing, hence the need for learning sign language. His limbs were replaced with robotic prosthetics, so it’s logical he also got hearing replacement technology as well.

Thank you both for the conversation at the end. It’s so important to have. Way to many people have been victim to people or situations like that or know people who have- and have no clue what to do. And my advice it always speak up to people whenever possible/safe. Silence is what keeps us in those abusive situations. It’s what I’ve learned from being in them myself. Our voices are our most powerful asset (writing as well if we’re mute or if in a situation where it’s not safe to speak/it’s safest to not speak). And I’ve learned there’s also a biggest power in choosing WHEN to speak as well. Sending love and power. Victim is not a bad word. Perpetrator and abuser are.
@dogti2959 Жыл бұрын
Important to note that Ozzie wasn't perfect in this episode, and he never claimed to be. I love that he's expressing his side of the situation, but he also assumes Fizz feels the same. It was true but there is that "I know how you feel" tha should be corrected. And I love that he's letting Fizz do his thing after exposing his point, like in episode 6, because it shows that he respects his will, even if he doesn't agree to it. I think it was a good episode for him to realize how insecure Fizz really is about his life, and about their relationship. It's hard, when you had to deal with a difficult situation, to be able to trust the other, no matter how many time they say it, because the doubts will always be there. I relate to that way too much. It's a great way to show the power dynamic between royals and other species, because Ozzie, just like Stolas, doesn't think he has much to lose, while Blitz and Fizz are quite familiar with it. It's so sweet to see how Fizz worry more about Ozzie's reputation than anything else, because he feels like he's not good enough after what happened to him. Most of the time, he's able to push those feelings aside, act confident and be happy with his new life. But it's always in time of too much stress, like when you're beeing kidnap or deling with abusive exploitation, that it bacme way too easy for that angst to come out. I just love how happy Fizz was when happy came to his rescue during the song, with the "it's too late to apologize", when he's taking the biggest decision of his life for the time being. He didn't lose anything by getting free of Mammon influence, quite the contrary. I can see his expectations coming from his childhood with the circus and all. Sure, it's not easy being the "lesser" side like Blitz was, but it's not easy having to be the best at all time or people will start loving you less. I wonder if Fizz let it go on for so long because it felt familiar, because that's kinda what his relationship with Blitz dad might have been, with the whole father/son relationship and all. You often find yourself trapped in situation that feels good even when you're suffering from it because that's what build you as a child. And I find that very sad. That's why therapy is a great thing to seek, because it doesn't mean you're giving up on anything, especially not your abusers. On the opposite, you're fighting for yourself instead of the others and it takes great strengh, but it's never easy. Peer pressure is a sickening thing.

This has been one of my favorite episodes so far and Fizz talking to that mute imp child hits right in the feels🥲. I definitely relate to Fizz especially when he had that panic attack in the dressing room. I haven't been manipulated or exploited before, but I can safely say that I am a people pleaser from time to time and constantly worry about what others think of me and whenever I've said no to them, feel like I've let them down or made a mistake, or receive some kind of criticism, I have sometimes bullied and belittled myself over it. All of that combined with my anxiety issues that I've dealt with for most of my life, doesn't help either. But, I am glad that I do have people in my life to pull me out of it. Sometimes, we are our own worst enemies and let others opinions dictate who we are. All seriousness aside, I know that Mammon is obviously as Ozzie put it, "A selfish manipulative piece of shit." who exploited Fizz for his own monetary gain and there is no disputing that. But weirdly, I can't bring myself to hate him cause I just love his mannerisms, and I loled almost every time he spoke. But I especially love his design; he looks like a demented Christmas tree with glowing eyes and a wicked toothy smile and it's awesome. Nothing needs to be said about his beast form cause it's just badass😎. I think he might be my new favorite ring prince so far if not one of my favorite characters in the show. I hope we see him in more episodes down the road and kudos to the Australian va who brought the character to life.
@gregoryosbun4141 Жыл бұрын
Agree. As for the first paragraph, I can actually relate to that because it has happened to me too many times in the past. The anxiety and panic attacks were very brutal and was very difficult to pull out of. The work environment i was involved in escalate it even worse when so much pressure was on me to keep up with everything by myself. Quitting wasn't something I felt doing because it would mentally destroy me and make me feel nonstop that I given up. But eventually I did quit that, and for 5 years(to this day) I work at a family restaurant and everyone that works there has always have my back to help relieve any stress and anxiety I may encounter with.

To add ot the fun fact they apparently represent various circus acts which goes to show how planned out this whole thing really was. There really are no coincidences here. Your conversation was largely about romantic/intimate partner relationships, which is entirely valid and important, but the show expands upon the kinds of relationships where these kinds of toxic, controlling behaviours manifest. They make the point that the same kind of behaviours that are common among abusive and controlling partners are fucking EVERYWHERE in employer/employee relationships. I've worked dozens of jobs, and in about 2/3rds of them, the boss/manager acted like a controlling boyfriend toward their employees, and that was all standard company policy. The world is an absolute shitshow of abusive workplace relationships, where management abusing their workers isn't considered illegal or morally wrong, but as standard operating procedure. It's no wonder that it happens so much in the context of the home; our society has told people that being an abusive prick is a good thing in the workplace where it "boosts productivity," but that it's a crime anywhere else.

If you consider episode titles and fan theories as spoilers then spoiler warning The next episode's title is the Full Moon, given that full moons are when Blitzø and Stolas meet for their deal, we believe the next episode will return to their relationship. Stolas will likely give him the crystal, and while we know this as a gesture of love/ to end the transactional part of the relationship between them, knowing Blitzø he will likely take it as Stolas abandoning him, at least at first. Hopefully Stolas will get to finally confess his feelings to him, which Blitzø will probably be in denial about at first and maybe even lash out, in his usual self-sabotaging way of pushing those he loves away before they can leave him first. But hopefully once it's finally spelled out for him he'll have it at the back of his head for the future. And it may take some time, but eventually he'll see it was genuine and finally let himself be vulnerable with Stolas. It'll probably take a while, but I have faith that these two will one day get to be together
