The director started burning because the L.A. water Stolas threw at him was 98% acid, it was shown on posters throughout the entire episode. Also in the background you can see the little girl actually doing lines of coke in her dressing room

The episode had a lot of great things in the background and in split-second shots. For example, the *real* Brennan Ragers was the dead body Octavia fell on top of shortly after arriving in LA XD

I love how the first season was all about world building aside from the last episode and now season 2 seems to be all about character development. Vivziepop is really busting her ass as far as the storytelling is concerned and I'm sure three times as hard to get the animations done

I'm a sucker for family drama as well, and this episode was both heartrending and heartwarming. Seeing the parallels between the two fathers and daughters really added to the entire dynamic they share. Even though we know it's not true, Octavia's line, "why does he hate her more than he loves me", was physically painful to hear and see, but it also allowed for both characters to grow. I particularly liked the moment where you see Loona's realization that she's not just talking about Stolas as a father. Here's hoping we get to see some more interaction between them, as the sister relationship is already something I'm 100% behind.

If you go back to the scene where the teleprompter is electrocuted, you can DEFINITELY see the "little girl" actress doing lines of coke. There's also a sign all around saying that the water is 2% sewage and 98% straight acid.

Seeing Blitz get triggered into a panic over Loona being taken from him hits me right in the feels no matter how many times I watch that episode, and I don't even have kids. This show does an excellent job telling the story and developing characters in a way that makes you empathize with them wholeheartedly.

Who'd have thought the show about funny murderous demons would actually stab you in the heart like this. Stolas is probably my favorite character because of these moments. Man doesn't want much, just his daughter to be happy and some hot imp sausage.

I just love the little side smirkd loona gives Blitzo, she may not want to admit it because of the wall of anger she put up around herself, because she was abandoned and betrayed a lot when she was younger (thats why she reacted so harshly at the beginnig of the episode, when Blitzo said he would maybe replace her). But she definately is fond of Blitzo and his efforts to make her feel like she really is his daughter. You can really see it in the smirks she gives him, when he isn't looking

The Brandon Ragers character is of course a play and Brandon Rodgers, thus why Blitz was mistaken for him. How very when Octavia arrives at the walk of Fame the who vomits then promptly drops dead is Brandon Ragers, so Blitz stepped in to give Ragers one final Scandal for his career, losing his crap on set and murdering security guards :). I think it's interesting how in episode 6 we learn Blitz sabotages his relationships out of fear of being alone, and this episode further cements Loona has the same issue as Blitz. She fears being abandoned and while part of her sees Blitz as her dad another part rejects forming a healthy parent/child bond with him that she expresses by Hell's social norm of violence. Also to be fair Loona is a terrible receptionist, she got the skills and temperament better suited to being in the field killing alongside Blitz, Moxie and Millie. Even if Blitz should replace her she would just be given a new position.

I'm glad you enjoyed this episode, it is one of my favorites 😊 Some people complain about the emotional whiplash of tones between scenes, but it's honestly why I love Helluva Boss. How it can make you laugh one minute and tug at your heartstrings the next. And the scene between Loona and Octavia? Uuh, just *chefs kiss* How Loona realises halfway through her dialogue that she isn't only talking about Stolas, but about Blitz aswell ❤️🥹 it's beautiful!
