Yeah. Like the scene where Stolas is drunk while Blitzø is trying to talk to him under the blanket. Blitzø usually has a more upbeat vibe to his voice and a lot more movements. While Stolas is calm. He thinks through he words most of the time and makes small calculated movements. In that scene in particular, it’s switched, Blitzø having a more serious voice and less movement. While Stolas seems a little crazy and jittery. Presumably because he’s drunk, but still.

I freaking loved every second of this episode! Even though Blitz's apologies to everyone her screwed over weren't entirely genuine, It was nice to at least see him making an effort to try and apologize to everyone especially to Stolas and Verosika. And they may not have forgiven him but at least it's a start to Blitz's journey on becoming a better person. And speaking of the people that Blitz apologized to, It was so awesome to see Martha and Miss Mayberry again after all this time. Hell I was even excited to see that they had apparently become an item, I mean I can remember some people shipping them and now it's canon! Anyway I instantly loved the new songs in this episode, Especially the one with Stolas, Verosika and Vortex. A duet between Stolas and Verosika was what I was hoping for and even though Verosika mostly did backup vocals and Vortex was there, It feels like the closest thing to a duet as we'll ever get. And when I saw the ending of the episode, While I could understand Blitz being jealous about Stolas dancing and being kissed by that other guy. Blitz just needs to accept that if he wants Stolas back he needs to earn it, And the first step to doing that will be for Blitz to clean up his act.

I definitely noticed that Martha and Mrs Mayberry made a cameo appearance in this episode. Also all the demons at the Blitz Sucks Party wore different costumes especially Coco and Apple as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. Stolas even remembered the time Striker nearly killed him and Blitz brought up The Harvest Moon Festival when Striker tried to kill Stolas during the first attempt. Also a literal Blitz Plush is in the episode! Heck, I can't believe Blitz attempted to apologize to everyone especially Stolas and Verosika. I love that Blitz and Verosika are actually talking instead of being snarky halfway through, she even gives Blitz some advice to change for the better. I think this episode is amazing and I'm happy Blitz tried to make amends with the people he's wronged with. Also Verosika Mayday for days! It's a shame that Stolas is a little upset with Blitz now.😮🤩🥺💖💔🎤🎶

I personally think it was a great episode by far. It brought me to tears far beyond how full moon ever could. I loved the slow pacing cause it felt on par with how fast Stolitz felt in full moon. And even if it is filler, it helped show the impact of their relationship. The song, while not better than full moon’s duet, was still incredible and I love the vulnerability in Stolas’ voice. Not to mention how Verosika and Blitz tie a few loose ends, and sort of make up for past choices (for now), and how Verosika calls him Blitz and not Blitzo when she’s giving him advice on how to be better. It’s a 10/10 episode for me so far, and makes me wish nothing but happiness for my babies. 😊

I was very mixed on this episode. I thought that mostly everything was great except for maybe one or two little things. 1. This is really hard to elaborate on but I’ll do my best. This episode did a good job of showing how much Blitzø has hurt people in the past, whether intentional or not, but the thing that I just can’t let go of is how much it tries to pain him as the sole reason why him and Stolas didn’t work out. Stolas is rightfully angry for how Blitzø handled things in the beginning of this episode but that part also felt like it was created just so that you wouldn’t be able to sympathize with Blitzø. Maybe it’s just a me thing but it just kinda rubbed me the wrong way. 2. When I saw the trailer which revealed that Verosika would be returning, I was like “Oh good, now we can get more details on the nature of their past relationship and how exactly things ended.” But when I watched the episode I was so disappointed, because they only got one small scene together. I’m hoping that this episode was just a tease for later maybe in another episode (whether it’s this season or the next one). Overall, this episode did what it was made to do… break my heart. So that makes up for the little flaws.

This show has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, like I’ve said before I’ve never been interested in shows like this. The writing at times is clunky, the drama is ridiculous, and I first started watching this as something to do when I got free time. But, these past two episodes and *especially* that ending, got me f*cking…heartbroken. I never thought this show could do that to me. I’ve watched plenty of shows with couples, but never once has a show got me shedding a tear. The only other time I’ve been sad at a show is when the original Top Gear ended because that was an end of an era, I didn’t think the sadness could get turned up 1000%, let alone an animated show. At first, I always felt they were dragging this breakup train forever and didn’t think it would affect me or be worth the wait. Oh boy was I wrong! I’ve gotten to know these characters so well and I was desperately hoping they’d finally make up (in the weirdest way they kind of did?). That railing scene was incredible. Verosika basically showing a bit of heart and making Blitzø realize all of his mistakes, just for him to watch what he essentially created himself and Stolas very much enjoying himself…and Blitzø ending up doing nothing about it...that’s what got me. He absolutely wanted to do something, but Stolas was happy for once. I didn’t think this show or any show could break me, but it definitely just did. I didn’t think I’d even finish the first Season or care about any of the relationships, let alone Stolitz. Once again, I just didn’t think it would affect me, but proves that the writers do know what they are doing with this show, even if at times I didn’t enjoy some of the writing. Hell, they got me to love an owl and an imp, that was not on my bingo card. Anyways I’m sad now. Plus, forcing myself to watch your recap as always,didn’t help my sadness. I’ll try to move on with my day. 😅 Great recap as always! (Also Stolas was so cute being drunk, definitely my favorite character. I didn’t think I’d enjoy watching an owl prince from hell with relationship issues, but here I am!)

Admittedly I like the episode a lot myself. Is showed a lot of character growth with Blitzo, Stolas and even Verosika to a point. But it also showcased some messed up views on love from our favorite pair Blitzo doesnt really view himself as worthy of love at all. He views himself needing to earn it, and he useful. Something i understand deeply Stolas wants a romantic comedy. He wants big splashy shows of love and affection. He has this romanticized view of love, as it appears that the only individual that's ever truly loved him at all is Octavia. And i think to a point, she may be the only one he's ever truly loved. I don't think he knows what real romantic love is himself. His love for Via is familial ,parental love And as much as it pains me to admit, his love for Blizto is puppy love Blitzo was his first friend, and crush. And until recently, that's how he's treated him. As some fantasy imp prince in bloody shining armor. Someone to rescue him from his evil witch wife. Someone to whisk him away in his van, and take him away from his personal hell. He wants that escape so bad, he even neglected Via. He really did treat Blitzo like a romantic play toy,even if ge didnt realize it When his feelings for Blitzo started becoming more , I think that he figured Blitzo would feel the same And of course he didnt. Though I think Blitzo is more at fault here, Stolas isn't innocent either

Oh Stolas 100% does not understand or even know how to identify realistic, grounded love between two adults. I mean where WOULD he have learned that from? He had to marry Stella at *maybe* nineteen, if not younger, and it's made extremely clear that he was committed to trying to make things work on *some* level until Blitz came along. But we've seen him with romance novels, in *this episode even*, and watching Hella-novela... I don't think it's a coincidence that the same episode we see him with his beak in a romance novel is the same one Blitz calls him out for wanting a rom-com. That's a through-line of the episode. Stolas.... needs to do what every starry-eyed Disney adult had to do at one point--- realize that real love is not a Disney movie, or a soap opera, or a romance novel. Do I think he loves Blitz? No. Just like I don't think Blitz loves Stolas. I think they have *potential* and *chemistry* that could one day deepen to love if they TALK and spend TIME TOGETHER learning more about each other outside of what they like in bed. Right now, that's a lot of what they've got. This episode already did a bit to start that train going, so that makes me happy. Also, I would like to end my Ted Talk by drawing attention to the fact that when Blitz calls out Stolas for describing a rom-com (which he was UTTERLY IN THE RIGHT TO DO), that his tone of voice was not one of anger, or frustration, or even irritation at all. It was sad, and even sounded like *pity*. Which Stolas immediately reacted to with the "Fuck you". Which says, to me, that Blitz *has* realized this about Stolas and the fact that he doesn't make fun of him for it, only pulls him back to reality, says volumes I think.

What I got from this episode is that I don’t think Stolas loves Biltzø, or ever did.Listening to his rant, about how he desperately wants love and just not to be alone. It made me wonder if the reason he felt anything towards Biltzø was because he was the first person to ever gave Stolas joy. Stolas has no life, like 90% of his screen time in his house, usually alone. Spent his entire childhood alone with servant who didn’t seem to like him or was mistreated by his dad, was forced to marry a bitch who enjoyed trash talking him. His romantic fantasy is a romantic comedy, he doesn’t really know what love is. Honestly, I want to see Blitzø and Stolas together, but I don’t want to see them together right now they got a lot to work out before this relationship has any chance.

Stolas is trapped in a fantasy, that he thinks can happen with Blitz because of all the dramatic and intimate things they did together. But, I still think that Stolas loves Blitz, especially because of in the song, he was the only one still trying to understand him. His feelings go deep, he was trying to refocus his goals now that he's not sure Blitz loves him back. He's handling the rejection pretty well, so I don't think it's that he doesn't, just that he can't show that to Blitz out of respect. I totally agree with your other point, though. They need to work things out. It can't be love if they aren't on the same page.
@chaoticneutralsheep
@chaoticneutralsheep 5 ай бұрын
You're right about that, I noticed his conversation didn't actually talk about what he sees in Blitz either but instead it's always about how he feels and what he wants, he enjoys Blitz as concept for that idealised fantasy romance more than the person he is. I don't think Stolas knows one single interest Bltiz has and he never knows how Blitz will react to anything. This whole episode really took me out honestly. Blitz acted completely out of character compared to his normal interactions with Stolas, to the point where he was practically assaulting Stolas to feel like he had purpose when he's pretty respectful to signals. While not the intent Blitz after a while even started to read as aromantic too because he doesn't seem to understand romance at all at the party, and seems overall confused by all those feelings everyone else has. Worst thing though was Stolas immediately goes for a rebound in front of Blitz for an incubus while blackout drunk too, but we're supposed to say "good for him," it reads as destructive behaviour with a needed intervention or that it is always about sex.
@Swervy7VODS
@Swervy7VODS 5 ай бұрын
@@chaoticneutralsheep Yeah, it was too fast for the rebound. But, I totally get it. There's also this theory where the rules of hell (like their moral code) isn't really the same as ours. AAAAA but I'm so excited to see this relationship grow, with Blitz realizing how much he cares about Stolas I think there is some great potential here. You should watch the comic dubs, I feel they've portrayed this relationship towards a more healthy resolution. And I really hope that Helluva Boss can give a good experience with resolving that. But boy, that episode was messy with problems. The way that, Blitz was sending him memes, again, not taking Stolas seriously (because he can't even take himself seriously). And then, when he confronted Stolas AS HE WAS DRUNK... these gays are sooo... they need help. I kinda liked seeing this different way Blitz acted. He's in a moment where his facade is breaking down and that's why he is acting "out of character" in some of the scenes. I wish we got more on Verosika and Blitz's past relationship. And I hope Blitz genuinely apologizes to those he hurt.

We have all this context, Blitzo only knows the owl wants to fuck him, until he was randomly tossed out on the street for not having his emotions all ready for a surprise confession on top of losing the keys to Stolas, and replacing them with those of Asmodeus. What's happening, is that Blitz is stolas, and Stolas is being Blitz.

@@blacklightredlight2945 I feel like it was completely fair to teleport Blitz out of his house. Stolas couldn’t handle the conversation anymore after Blitz mocked an “I love you”, and while trying to leave Blitz continued after him screaming, ending with a “LET’S GO, B****” (something like that I can’t exactly remember). Like, you can see Stolas literally flinch at Blitz’s aggression. Stolas was in an abusive marriage for years, being followed around the house and screamed at. Making Blitz leave to not have a panic attack or be further triggered is pretty fair and not “random”. I don’t see how people can defend screaming and cursing at someone during an argument, but hate the fact that Stolas forced the situation to close? Also to be clear, I don’t even have much of a problem with Blitz screaming so much because *I know he had his reasons*. Just like how I don’t have much of a problem with how Stolas acted during their convo because *I know he had his reasons*.

I actually liked the pacing. It felt painful, but purposefully so. It was slow, but every bit of dialogue felt intentional. Even cathartic. The humor was pretty sparse, but deliberately so. Kind of a bummer, but I understand why. Even the few jokes seemed to hold some weight, rather than being JUST jokes. I prefer this over Full Moon if I have to choose. I like both but I’m different ways. I agree that it would have been better to see Blitzø interacting more with Verosika. I really liked the bits where they did talk. I like Verosika and the way she communicated with Blitzø, and how she talked with Stolas too. Stolas and Blitzø were both great. I really hope that the people who decided to make hating one of them their whole personality (so many Stolas haters lmao) will see the nuance behind both characters a bit more now.

Stolas did come off that way in Full Moon by springing it on Blitzø the minute he waltzed into his room instead of hinting at wanting to talk beforehand, but even though he didn't explain himself as properly as he thought, the one thing I think he made clear was that he didn't want meaningless sex with Blitzø anymore, the very thing Blitzø doubled down on in attempt #2 this episode and Stolas rejected once again. Though it does make his previous attempt to apologize before he was teleported away seem disingenuous due to doubling down.

Firstly, I don't like the way Stolas is shown to be completely innocent. He hurt Blitz too and Blitz has a point when saying he owes Stolas nothing. It's sad that writers seem to forget about the fact that Stolas was the one who made their relationships about seх, literally called Blitz a plaything and so on. Blitz deserves an apology from him too and I really hope that he'll get one in the future episodes. Secondly, Stolas and Blitz still haven't discussed their problem properly. It's annoying that their talk always get interrupted for some reason, so that they never had a chance to come to any conclusion (I would be satisfied whether they got together or broke up temporarily or permanently, just anything particular, please). Like how many more episodes they need to resolve a single drama, huh?

I've seen comments like this a lot and while I get it, I feel it's important to realize Stolas was not the one to bring that high sex energy into the situation-ship as we call it. Stolas made one flirty joke while tipsy at best but then steered the conversation back into the normal levels, Blitz took that initial joke's vibe and ran with it, causing the hilarious nightmare fuel bite that was the eventual peak and downfall of their situation. Now expecting to just steal Stolas' book and get away Scott free was dumb of Blitz, of course he's going to need the book back as it's for his job. Blitz used Stolas and stole his book yet wasn't the one to call him and further elaborate on wtf that was. Now it does start tilting into Stolas is screwing up territory in how the deal was made, Stolas saw Blitz was in danger yet chose that time to call him up and strike a deal. At that point while what he says isn't wrong, "Favors for Favors" as it's a big favor to just take a prince's book, a tool he needs for his job and bail without offering anything up especially after being so deceitful about it. The thing is him knowing Blitz's current predicament when he called is what has people giving him some side eye cuz yeah, not a good look Stolas. They both failed to communicate boundaries, for all Stolas knew Blitz wasn't bothered by his comments. He thought he was being playful, Blitz never told him otherwise outside of the "JUST SAY MY NAME RIGHT!" comment back in the Harvest Moon episode. They both have to talk to one another about how they view what the other does and work on how to better bridge the gap they were place in from birth. They have to or none of this works. I think the only thing for this episode is showing how badly Blitz being dependent on yet still pushing away others is going to keep him in this perpetual state of loneliness. He can't just barge into someone's home, try to assault them when they clearly say no and verbally abuse them in their own home after they gave him a chance to speak and instead he used it to abuse further. I do believe we'll see Stolas getting his turn with the stick of consequences, just like Stolas himself, his are less noticeable, and creeping up one him while Blitz's consequences are smack dab in front of him just like he is not at all subtle about how he deals with his issues. We may get something like this: Stolas realizes his feelings, works to better himself and stop the deal. Stolas is ahead of Blitz in the feelings and personal growth department Blitz catches up in terms of realizing Stolas was serious about said feelings. Blitz sees the consequences of his actions (Not only with Stolas but Verosika and everyone in the party) Blitz goes on his own self discovery journey (where we're heading to next) Stolas now starts getting his long await consequences that have building since the divorce with Stella began, as he has yet to be called out for neglecting his duties. (We're no doubt getting that later on too) And by the end of the season, both Blitz and Stolas will be on the same page finally when it comes to personal healing and growing as people. Who knows what season 3 will bring but I'm hoping the two will have a better understanding of their own flaws so they can begin to talk about them bit by bit with each other. Maybe even as actual friends who can see where they went wrong and vowing to be better knowing how the other felt during their time "together".

i didn't love the fact that stolas got with someone else like he did? im sure its something that will work itself out in future episodes but it felt like this episode was taking several steps backwards when full moon sort of did that already. in a way it felt sort of redundant or tiresome i think it is something worth analyzing/getting into later, the idea that stolas' idea of a relationship is just that he wants to be wanted and how an invitation to dance is enticing, especially as a sort of rebound thing i guess. i just don't think the episode's pacing made it seem anything more than repetitively saying the relationship between blitz and stolas is bad for him. it could also have to do with stolas being drunk, but not having that unpacked at all in this episode made it kind of frustrating, in more of a tedious way than an exciting cliffhanger way. overall stolas is my favorite character and its hard to have such a dramatic switch in his dialogue and interactions for me. still a decent episode, better than a couple of the filler ones at the beginning of s2, but it wasn't what i was looking for in the episode after full moon.

I was glad they focused on the relationship drama instead of shoehorning in a B-plot for action like they did with Full Moon. I think the reason this episode kinda rubbed me the wrong way was that it took Blitzø's issues way further than Stolas's. Like, they BOTH fucked up the conversation in Full Moon, but this episode mostly felt like it was just to show that even if Stolas was a master communicator, Blitzø still would have wrecked everything, so Stolas's mistakes didn't matter and Blitzø is the only one who really needs to change…like, it kind of invalidates the point in the previous episode that BOTH of them have issues that make relationships difficult for them, by making it out like even if Stolas had zero issues things still would have gone this way. I don't know, I do like the lack of any sort of action scene or distraction from the relationship drama, but the focus was still on the wrong thing. It almost felt like backpedaling, like trying to take back all of Stolas's mistakes and retroactively make Blitzø the sole problem. Also…this is the first Stolas song I wasn't completely charmed by. It was good, but every other song he's done has been magical, this felt like a downgrade to me personally.

I think the whole problem is that Vivzi already said that so story is complete in 4 seasons. But I believe there's much more space left to cover all (or at least some of) the parts the fans want to see. Maybe it would be more clever to expand to whole thing up to 5 or 6 seasons so they could pack more side stories into it. Like Verosika and blitz, fizzy and more. It's very cool to see the main story being already developed but 4 seasons seems to be too little to cover everything:(

I really enjoyed this episode, especially seeing Blitz talking with Vee and their past, and when Blitz saw how happy Stolas was in that moment and let him have that moment. Also, I don't think a flashback was needed in that moment when Vee and Blitz were talking because the episode portrayed how much heartbreak can affect someone, especially when she was vulnerable with him and just ended things like that without an explanation, but also finding happiness again and that was why Vee even throws those Anti-Blitz party, to have others who felt the same and help them out as through this as a lot haven't forgiven or got over Blitz. Also, that scene with Martha and Ms. Mayberry threw me off too 😂.

I watched an episode and I was expecting something different. I mean the dialogue that took place between Blitz and Stolas was deep and tried to show us that Blitz was wrong, although there are aspects that might show us that Stolas is also wrong, such as the deal he made in the first episode, which was that on the day of the full moon. Blitz brings the book and can get it after he satisfies Stolas' lust, but they don't touch it and this apology round consists of Blitz sending apology papers to all the characters who appeared in the series only. But an important event appeared, which was the exes' party. I wish Fizz had been there, but what can we do? I don't know what the writers' problem is with showing us that Blitz is the bad person, but what I liked about this episode is Stolas' frankness and Verosika's view of Blitz's character and how this affected him. (Also, I don't want Stolas to end up with that demon) But I was expecting a quick reconciliation between Blitz and Stolas, just like the revelation of Ozzie's relationship with Fizz, but it's a good thing that didn't happen.

I don't think Apology Tour was great, but I still enjoyed this episode and admit it's one of the top three episodes of this season. As much as I love the drama of Stolitz, I think it's becoming too much. Helluva Boss has many characters that could develop interesting arcs or dynamics with each other, but it feels like the writers have honed into Stolitz (and Stolas in general) so much that everything else feels neglected. Granted, this is a belief I've only developed since the premiere of season 2. Of the nine episodes currently released (not considering "Hell's Belles"), six(-ish) of them feature Stolas' drama or explore his relationship with Blitz- and based on the season 2 trailer, that ain't about to change for the rest of the season. I get that Stolas has become a narratively important character, but others like Moxxie, Millie and Loona deserve to have fleshed out arcs instead of meager development gingerly sprinkled throughout the season, and the hyperfocus on Stolitz is starting to become tiresome for me. Like I said, I enjoy it, but I need a break from the drama occasionally and want to focus on something new and fresh with other characters- I hope that Ghostfuckers will provide that for me.

Though I’m very glad that they delayed the relationship with Stolas and Blitz especially when Stolas was invited out by another guy, which I wasn’t particularly happy with but it was understandable. The whole lonely bit got to me because it reminded me of the Princess Carolyn and Bojack “I don’t love you, you don’t love me, we’re just two lonely people trying to hate ourselves a little less” I hope maybe the can separate for awhile and see how things go from there. They can either stick rigidly to the conventional comedic A-B structure throughout their entire run as their more episodic comedy counterparts do, or they can realize that when you're a series playing in both genres like this the drama sometimes needs the whole episode to itself to breath and land proper hits. Bojack Horseman's writers came to understand that, and that show's later seasons made it nothing short of an adult animation masterpiece. What the writers of Helluvaboss crafted here is the kind of episode the show has been desperately needing since the beginning of season 2. If the characters and world constantly have to bend to fit the comedic formula, the show's never going to feel like anything _but_ a comedy. The comedy turning off for once and letting the dialogue be more lengthy and natural was such a breath of fresh air. I also can't see how anyone could label the episode filler when the largest overarching plot throughout the whole show is the Stolitz relationship. The elements of the show which do not pertain to the character's personal lives are largely episodic.

Hot take maybe? This is one of the best episodes if not the best one yet, I enjoyed how there was no subplot and how the pacing was slowed and more fleshed out, I even liked how they kept the relationship between Verosika and Blitz vague Edit: on remark of the show don’t tell, I feel like they did a good job because they didn’t let her go in depth yet you could physically see how distressed she was from her body language and tone I think they did a good job

As someone who has gone through the same feeling Blitzo went through in this episode. It feels very therapeutic for an episode to makes me feel this way. It actually reminds me of Amending Fences (which is my favorite episode of MLP:FiM).

I really loved this episode tbh. Like episodes like this are the reason I watch the show. I go absolutely feral digging into the psychology of characters like blitz and stolas because a lot of thought clearly went into the characters of the show more than anything else, and there is a LOT to chew on for people like me who love analyzing characters, motivations, actions, reactions, habits, their walls, etc. This show has conveyed so much about blitz and stolas that you can practically predict how exactly they'll react to any given scenario. And I'm of course excited to see how the two change from this episode as it clearly marked a huge turning point for the both of their characters. Also I'm genuinely glad there wasn't a flashback with verosika. Seeing her and blitz actually talk was absolutely the right choice and it was enjoyable to watch her actually somewhat get along with him, as well as be the catalyst to him finally deciding to change.

@@Ned_callsberg For real it just seems very wrong. Why the hell miss Mayberry is with the person who ruined her life? And does Martha even know that it was Mayberry who hired the IMP gang to kill her and her family? If so, then these characters are waaay too forgiving.

1:14 + that design... I will be one of my favourites. Gigant twisted horns, one eye missing and those little skulls, but now completly black. And all of those in mostly black and red color palet. Beautiful. Btw, that client from ep 1 had hooves?! 1:22 I wasnt sure what that place was... no one done anything with the bodies still, those are roting? Grimm, grusome, love it. 3:29 another beautiful thing, Dracula, vampire like robes also interesting 4:34 so ghost f - haunted mansion/hotel stuff, then probably royal stuff

My review: The songs were good but I'm still mixed on Bryce's VA'ing as Stolas when singing, but I'm not complaining, he did what he could. Nice to see Verosika not be entirely toxic to Blitzø, it's nice knowing she actually wants him to improve. The quick apology tour felt a little rushed, I think it could've been a part 1, part 2 thing like Ozzies. It hit hard though when Blitzø realised how many people in his life he actually fucked up, it was an amazing cold splash to his reality. Overall, really good, though I'd like to see more of DHORKS and CHERUBS in the future, and I need to get used to Bryce's singing. If you disagree and want to argue against what I thought, please keep it civil. More power to you if you enjoyed it more than I did :D

Imma disagree on your complaints about the episode. It's good to have "filler" episodes. Letting the plot slow down and breath, exploring character depths and relationships rather than constantly being fast paced with stakes. And comedy would've ruined this episode. It's supposed to be a serious moment for Blitz and a growing moment for him. And as the lead character seeing him develop and how his actions effect others is important. Letting the plot breath and be willing to slow down to explore those aspects is good and I'd be upset if we just blazed through every episode without these slower and more serious moments. It's still moving the plot forward and dismissing it or deaming it lesser than the more comedic action-filled episodes just feels like a disservice to how a narrative is meant to function. Also the writing here was GREAT, even if it was mostly dialogue. Very realistic conversations and a heavy impact of seeing just how many people blitz has hurt, and blitz being at the "I hate blitz" party because he too hates himself.

I kinda figured demons would sorta be allowed to go to earth on Halloween. They can just play it off as wearing costumes.

Ironically, some of the demons also insist on wearing actual Halloween costumes. Like that one imp in a catgirl costume, or another dressed as Beetlejuice.

Personally, I think Verosika was very one note here. It kinda dragged the episode down. I wish there was more to her character than 'hates Blitz', 'drunken pop star'. I hope we see more of her in the future with something else to do or more backstory. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and hope that Stolas has an episode where they talk about his flaws as well. It felt like they dumbed down Blitz's points from the last episode to give more credit to Stolas', because Blitz had a lot of really good ones. This episode definitely needed to happen. I don't think it's filler at all! The pacing was just right for me, but it definitely left some to be desired.

I was a little shocked at the ending but honestly its probably for the best at least for now Blitz is not ready for relationships at the moment especially with this mindset he imprinted onto himself from the trauma trying to deny any feelings at all because when he tried to make a commitment it caused his whole life to fall apart (literally) and the theory that he was hurt by royalty before. I also enjoyed seeing this side of Blitz being highlighted with how damn hard he’s trying to push feelings away to the point it all comes back at him in one sitting at the party and the realization of how Toxic he’s been. This episode served as a good punch to the gut wake up call for him and its nice to see him acknowledging the way his actions have affected people and getting back to neutral at least for some of the big people in his life he’s keeping at bay (besides his sister but thats to be seen) I feel like this episode is really setting up him reflecting his actions and become more emotionally vulnerable maybe seek help or talk to people around him more about whats been going on in his head.

I was hoping for a Verosika relationship flashback, one lamenting from her perspective while Blitz actively minimizes it, would've showed a great juxtaposition with how they saw things. unfortunate
