People are not trolling you, the O in Blitz's name is silent. He used to be named Blitzo when he was a clown in a circus, but when he left the circus he decided to drop the O and just be Blitz.

And as a fun detail, every character who has a personal grudge against Blitzø calls him something different, usually depending on when their grudge developed. Fizz and Barbie both pronounce the 'O' because they knew the old him (and also to get on his nerves), while Striker, the only one to develop the grudge in present day, calls him "Blitzy" (the same nickname Stolas normally uses) because their interactions are more flirtatious in general. The only likely exception is Verosika, who also pronounces the 'O' to get on his nerves, but it's unclear if she met him before or after the name change (she at least knows _of_ Barbie, but if/when they met and what the extent of their relation is remains to be seen). I suppose the Cherubs and Agents also count as exceptions, purely because they have yet to return as of writing this (and also their grudges are moreso with I.M.P. as a whole, rather than Blitzø specifically).

Fun fact: The last song was originally a Stolas fan song by Paranoid DJ. He made the song before episode 8 of season 1 came out if I recall correctly. He has a really good nack for capturing the characters personalities even with the little info he has. He wrote songs for multiple Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel characters and it's extremely impressive how in character they are with how little was known about them at the time. Even the songs that aren't lore accurate anymore are extremely good. I'd definitely recommend some of his songs. "Smile Like You Mean It" captures Alastor perfectly.

Stolas can never catch a break. He was born to serve his family line, betrothed to a wife who hates him just so he can have a daughter to take over his role should he perish. Hes tried to give his daughter a family he didnt have, one with love, and made himself miserable to protect his daughter. And now that shes almost 18, he finally can divorce, leaving him free to date his first and only friend hes ever had, a friend who was paid to play with him and wound up scamming him at almost every turn until more recently. Im REALLY hoping he becomes friends with Ozzie, man needs some actual friends. He deserves some good support in his life.

19:52 this will contain mild spoilers, I’m basically just going to talk about Stolas and Blitz’s relationship Stolas and Blitz so far only have a business relationship. IMP needs Stolas’ grimoire to access the human world, and Stolas was forced into a loveless arranged marriage to birth an heir to his bloodline. The deal is that every full moon, Stolas and Blitz have a night of sexual escapades in which beforehand Stolas does his sovereign duties with the grimoire. The grimoire stays in the possession of IMP otherwise. This music video was Stolas receiving an Asmodium crystal, the same things succubus use to access the living world. Stolas had asked Asmodeus for one so this way Blitz and IMP can access the human world without the grimoire. Stolas has genuine love for Blitz, but feels like he is taking advantage of him because their relationship started as business but had feelings developed in the process. Stolas is singing because he fears that once he gives Blitz the crystal, Blitz will no longer want him around (as he has no need for him). Giving Blitz the crystal is omitting the need for Stolas in Blitz’s life, and despite Stolas loving Blitz, Stolas doesn’t know if the feeling are mutual. Stolas is willing to lose everything just so Blitz can be happy. He lost his reputation by sleeping with an IMP, his abusive ex wife has tried to have him killed multiple times, and he basically has nobody but IMP as friends. The fact Stolas lost so much already, and is willing to lose the last bit of happiness just for Blitz’s own freedom, is an INSANE show of true love. Blitz has very little self worth due to his past (as seen in the episode “OOPS”) so he feels u worthy of Stolas’ love. This is complicated by the power dynamic, since Stolas is part of the upper branch of Hell’s hierarchy and Blitz is part of the lowest. The reality Blitz doesn’t know is that HE is the one with the power here, as Stolas’ feelings are genuine. But, due to his own issues, doesn’t understand how or why someone like Stolas could possibly choose him. It’s a tragic love story that HOPEFULLY has a happy ending

Unsurprisingly, I recommend sitting down and watching helluva boss all the way through. I love to hear your take on the songs without context though. Also, to be clear Kesha wasn’t the singer on the songs for some legal reasons at the time. I know she originally recorded them but to be able to put the episodes out they had to re-record with a new vocalist. Kesha still is the voice of Bee in the episode and she did co-write cotton candy. I’m not sure if you know, but ‘Look My Way’ started as a fan song, like ‘Addict’, but the people behind the show loved it so much that they adjusted it to fit current canon. The gem he receives in the beginning is an Asmodeusu crystal- an item that he referred to in his last song ‘Owl In A Cage’/Stolas Sings. It lets people travel to earth. Meaning, with it, Blitz won’t need Stolas’ assistance anymore to travel between realms. So, Stolas is giving Blitz the option to take the gem and run, or to accept it and stick around.

The pills you see Stolas take before "Stolas Sings" are called "Belphegor's Happy Pills" and are prescribed to Stolas. Belphegor is the Head Sin of Sloth, as Bee is for Gluttony and Asmodeus is for Lust. But some may not know thats Sloth in the original context wasn't meant as just being lazy, but actually lethargy that was brought on due to depressive episodes! So yes, he is indeed sad birb, but also, that's just one of the many cool small details hidden in the show! I feel Mat would love to see all the crazy stuff in the details of the series as a whole.

I'll explain Blitzo's name. So Blitzo, pronouncing the O, is a clown name. Blitzo used to be a clown, like in a circus. For plot reasons, he left that life behind and started IMP. So he dropped the O to go by Blitz.

The reason for Kesha being a VA on the show is because Vivzie is a big fan and her early works were animated videos for her songs. They’re really cute, if you can find any reuploads of them; you can see how her style has grown, but it’s still clearly Vivzie Pop.

If you look at the size of the moon (representing Blitzø) starts out small and very accessible to Stolas and it grows bigger and bigger and more distant from Stolas. Also the full moon represents the time of the month when he and Blitzø come together to bang.

Interesting fact about *Look my Way* , it was originally a song written by a fan of the show. But the creator of the show Viv loved it so much, she made sure it became an official song within the show and had Stolas's VA sing it. And I'll just say, it's by far one of the best songs I've heard in the show. Amazing job to the fan. 👏🏼💜

Not many people acknowledge the song but it's personally one of my favorites. It was played in the background more rather than being sung by a character. Crashing a Motha' F*ckin' Wedding is just sooo absolutely amazing!!!!

The dance between Fizz and Ozzie was foreshadowed in Season 2 episode 1, when Young Blitz and young Fizz were playing with their balloon horses and Fizz made Banana pudding the horse dance around Blitz's worm horse.

Stolas is such an sSs+ tier character, he's got so much depth to him, though a few people only seem to see the shallow side of his character and don't get him, the ones that expect him to act like a normal person make me laugh, people like to project their own ideals on to him while forgetting he wasn't brought up to think the same, he has so much growth discovering himself and realizing what's actually important to him, rather than being his duty. (Edit, actually I think what's why I find him so endearing, he's literally brought up to be a toff ass hole and despite all that ends up being a generally lovable character who is ultimately sweet by nature.)

I got the honor of meeting Bryce Pinkham at a convention and it was amazing. Stolas is my absolute favorite character and at the end Bryce even told me it was nice meeting me in his Stolas voice. I was giddy the entire day because of that

For legal reasons Kesha doesn't actually sing for Beelzebub, they use a person who sounds similar, but the character is voiced by Kesha Also Asmodeus is voiced by the same person as Zestial in Hazbin, as well as another character in Helluva Boss named Tex

The song without lyrics is called Stolas Speaks, and it instrumental plays whenever Stolas is being precious. With the lyrics, it is called Stolas Sings, and on account of his VA being in a mood while recording it, it was tough to get out there. Yeah, Bryce apparently cried while singing it. That is the sign of a great character, when a VA gets really into it.
