The stolas' family is prince royalty. The first episode helluva boss features a scene about how stolas the owl and blitzo's dynamic started involving an affair via blitzo as a hooker with a extra goal to steal stolas' spell book. the second episode gives mention weight to the uses of the book and that it's not just a portal spell to the human world. The third gives the dynamic after the initial relationship of stolas and blizo and how it proceeds now in current time in regards to stolas's family dynamic now that it also ties in with blitzo's company and his affair with blizo. This episode here (episode five) is a direct response to stolas from his wife in regards to the affair ( and how she wants him dead). Technically this episode is the secondary objective for later reference now that in order to keep that relationship with stolas alive (quite literal here) blitzo crew have to now be acutely aware of any side actions of stolas as it snowballs to how the company stays afloat, and you can't have that if your book lender is dead. Dont take it too harshly though pretty much all royalty or popular figures are like this in regards to getting kidnapped or having a bounty put on them; it's also hell..... So.... yes it's pretty obvious someone has killed for less. According to this episode enchants put on specific weapons can kill royalty or high class demons which is why that sniper is so rare and sought at crazy prices. Show has a Pretty interesting dynamic but I'm pretty sure all of this season is to establish the characters and the early relationship for the season 2 to make something more plot driven; as it stands it's comedic and episodic so you can almost be dropped off anywhere and you'd still get the character placement to some extent. Can't wait for the next one

Well, if Blitzo teamed up with Striker and killed Stolas he could take the book and never have to do anything to get it. There is no reason he wouldn't do that exept for that he actually cares about Stolas and wants to keep him alive. Im a happy Stolitz shipper :)

We're watching crowd-funded history unfold here! I believe Helluva Boss will get as BIG as South Park and be the first time a show could prove an imaginative creator can do her own series WITHOUT being owned by some dumb Hollywood network and cancelled one season later for no good reason and never allowed to make more cartoons of it because the trollish network is sitting on the copyright threatening to sue anyone who tries (like what happens with many good MSM series). Vivenne Madreno did _NOT_ have to sell her soul to produce this series, oddly enough, unlike everyone who ever before got their idea syndicated by Hollywood/MSM. This is the HISTORICAL example that we don't need Hollywood anymore!

People explained the lore here pretty well so Imma just put here some irl demonology trivia for some terms "Ring of Wrath" - according to Binsfield's classification of demons, Hell is composed of 7 levels called rings with a single demon as a ruler of each ring in this order: 1.Pride - Lucifer 2. Greed - Mammon 3. Lust - Asmodeus 4. Envy - Leviathan 5. Wrath - Satan 6. Gluttony - Beelzebub 7. Sloth - Belphagor And that is the system used in Helluva Boss "I, Stolas of the Ars Goetia" - Ars Goetia or Lemegeton is a real life demonology grimoire supposedly written by king Solomon and it contains a list of 72 high class demons, all with titles like "prince", "king", "marquis" and so on. Stolas himself is listed there as the 36. spirit that appeared before King Solomon, and the book says the following about him: "The thirty-sixth spirit is Stolas, or Stolos. He is a great and powerful prince, appearing in the shape of a Mighty Raven at first before the Exorcist, but after he taketh the image of a Man. He teacheth the art of Astronomy, and the Virtues of Herbs and precious stones. He governeth 26 legions of spirits, and his Seal is this, etc" The book itself is full of demon names, their signatures which are called Seals(and are used in Helluva Boss as well) and guides for demon summoning.

You guys might want to go back and watch the pilot episode. You did technically start with episode 1, but there’s a pilot that expands several things. It is a little weird since Stolas and Millie have different voices.

Okay to explain the hell of a boss universe Hell is divided up into the seven deadly sins pride greed lust etc Imps moxie blizzo and Millie or amps they are born and raised in the ring of wrath. That's where Imps come from and imps are farmers and also soldiers and they commit violent acts of wrath as you can see. From Millie she was seeing red. And that's why Imps love war they're literally from wrath stolas is a prince of hell. He's very powerful like he's more powerful than Imps his wife is up in that echelon of royalty as well but she is not a prince. Solace is the main Prince and his daughter is a princess so she would inherit his power. The main honcho of hell of a boss rings of hell is Lucifer himself he controls all the other princes in the other rings stolas rules the Ring of wrath. And he has other duties and jobs but basically while Lucifer rules hell itself Satan is God of hell. Lucifer and Satan are two different people while Lucifer rules hell and the other princess Satan is God. So on the totem pole imps are small fry and if you're wondering but what about the other souls that came down to wrath in the previous episode and episode 4. And the other previous episodes to hire the imps to go and kill people in the living world. Living souls can only exist in the pride ring but they can visit the other rings. Of hell Lucifer controls the pride ring so soul that go down to the Imps to ask blitzo for assassinations they journey from pride all the way down. To wrath to get in contact with blitzo so he can use the book stolas's book to portal up to living world. Edit : Side note in my original comment I was a little wrong about where the placement of blitzo's office is. Living souls can only exist in the ring of pride so the imps actually journey up to the Ring of pride. To find work in the other rings most notably they go to imp City which is in the pride ring and blitzo office is on the pride ring too. And stolas may rule the wrath ring but he predominantly lives in the pride ring. To curse the harvest festival so they'll have enough food to feed all the denizens of hell. Another fun fact male imps have white and black stripes while females have black with thin white stripes. . And their spots are actually wounds and battle scars that actually if healed over and turned white. That's why blitzo has a white spot on his face he's been injured there. And imps may be the lowest of the low but hellhounds are even lower than that in terms of ranking. So Luna is pretty weak on the totem pole but hellhounds are expectually useful to help hunt down souls. Just by simply sniffing the person's name.

Blitz wasn't born in wrath ring, and not all imps are born in that ring; in the episode Blitz even says he's never been to wrath before. Also if the white spots are supposed to be scars than how does Moxxie get his which look more like freckles? I thought it was more just a making that imps are born with. Also a quick add on: Stolas is a part of a demon family called the Ars Goetia, and this class of demons are specifically associated with summoning. Stolas is known especially for Astrology and Plants, and I think a third thing but I can't remember.

@@nikecoro2606 well someone came up with a theory why Moxie has white spots on his face. Or freckles that you called them there might be actually self scarring like what Africans do to denote tribe or rank. So people will recognize them the theorizer speculated that some. imps might actually scar themselves in for a certain design or for aesthetics. Moxie's freckles could be an aesthetic or beauty choice or for tribal purposes or just for self-mutilation. Or maybe his parents scarred his face as a baby to put the freckles on his face.

I startet at episode 2 (when it was the most recent episode) because of the assad-gaySpider (angledust) meme. I just clicked some video from Vivziepop. I really liked the character design, especially of stolas an octavia (Im a bird enjoyer), then i wached episode 1 and i started understanding a little bit of the story and right after that i watched the pilot. After i found out about the chronology of the series i watched it in the right direction several times until i understood every little bit of it (English is not my native language, so I needet a few more takes than others). Yeah and now i'm a big fan of Helluva Boss😂

Apparently Norman Reedus is known for taking on creative projects that don't pay as much because he's just passionate about unique things. Though in this case I suspect the pay will get a LOT bigger as this series becomes the first epic historical crowd funded series to become as big as South Park without the need for anyone to sell their soul and rights to Hollywood. Norman Reedus might have been shown the pilot and said "Hell yeah that's got potential. I'd enjoy being a part of that."

The main characters are imps, creatures born in hell, they aren't sinners. Loona the Hellhound and Stolas are also natural demons. Stolas is a Prince who lends his grimoire (book) to Blitzo so he and his employers can go 'working' to the living world in exchange for sex. Please, watch the rest of the episodes.

Helluva boss and Hazbin Hotel take place in the realm of Hell. Hell is composed of 7 rings stacked on top of each other accessible by elevator. Each ring representing the 7 deadly sins with the most powerful demon of that ring being an overlord of sorts called a Prince. Lucifer is the most powerful of them all and is Charlie's dad. He is called the King of Hell and resides in the top ring Pride. Pride is also the only ring where Earth born souls go when they die. It's a little confusing but Stolas is called a prince but he doesn't actually seem to be an overlord. He just happens to be demon royalty. But he seems to be near the bottom of the hierarchy of royalty in Hell. His book he carries around is pretty interesting though. Called a Grimoire it can seemingly create portals to anywhere within the living universe. Can it do other stuff? I dunno, probably.
