Helm Vanuatu - best budget diver under $350?

I tackle a rugged budget diver that in my opinion delivers the goods. It is large, very tool like in it’s aesthetic and function. Helm watches can be hard to get your hands on but I think worth it this is the type of watch your looking at adding to the collection.

I own one of these and this review is spot on, Helm is punching way above it's price point and being ISO certified it is a true diver...the hardest part is getting one. Helm only puts it out small batches, but well worth the wait. Cheers M.

Great review of a pretty nice tool watch. Wish they were for sale. Cons of microbrand buying: not in stock. Never in stock. Added email to list in Oct...still not in stock. Selling? LOL

I did sell the Helm right around Christmas, received a decent offer for it. The drawback to Helm has been keeping up with demand and their pre order process

Excellent review, subbed. I have mine set up with the stainless steel bezel and a nice shark mesh bracelet. I went with the white date wheel variant. I would usually go for a black date wheel with a black dial but to me the white date wheel has better synergy with the hour markers. I really love the watch. I have a 6.5" wrist and I don't find it too big at all. I was a bit worried about that when I first ordered it.

Thank You! The shark mesh bracelet I bet looks smoking hot!! I think Helm did a great job with the white date wheel as well. Glad to hear it works on a sub 7" wrist.

@@neverenough_time5362 I wish a 6 o’clock date was standard. I think it helps with symmetry and makes the dial look clean. I honestly don’t think I’ll buy another watch with the date at 3. I have a Sinn 556i that I’m selling because I just don’t wear it anymore. The date at 3, the hands being a touch small IMO, and the lume being terrible just ruin an otherwise awesome watch. There is nothing about the Vanuatu that I dislike.

I enjoy the date at 6 when the hour markers are non Arabic. When traditional Arabic’s are used I think I prefer the date at 3.

Hey great review. Loved the backdrop of the lake. I just finally was able to pick a Vanuatu. Really looking forward to it. Was debating on getting the rubber strap from HELM. I’ve got a 7.75” wrist so it should fit me? You say the rubber strap is comfortable? Thanks again for the great review.

Awesome pick up, congrats! 7.5 inch wrist will be just fine, personally I love the rubber strap from Helm, caveat thought I prefer rubber to steel on my dive watches..

i have this watch with black bezel. after owning it for a year or so I really like it but would prefer that it was a mm thinner and they offered it with an upgraded movement option.

Having owned this watch for awhile as well, I would agree with both points. It would likely come with a higher price tag however.
