YAYAYAYAY! I have no money, but I do have a longing to contribute. I can't yet, I'm in treatment for Stage 4 Cancer, and if I can get this under some kind of control, I would love to help in some way. Chico is still a ways away for me, but it's closer than other projects and it's based on a better "Housing First" philosophy, which other local projects are not. Bless you!!!

How much do you and your husband earn in this non profit. How much does it cost them for this housing..who owns the properties when all is said and done..

Leslie Johnson and Robert Trausch, along with many others, are dedicated CHAT VOLUNTEERS who donate their time to help people who have lost their housing. CHAT residents almost always have a private bedroom when they rent from CHAT, for which they pay approximately $500-$565 in rent. This usually includes utilities, depending on the circumstances of each house. CHAT (as an organization) has been able to purchase some homes, however most CHAT houses are rented by CHAT from property owners. CHAT is trying to purchase more houses, in order to become more sustainable.

You are encouraging more drug addicts and leeches on society with this project. Chico is known more and more for homelessness and meth, and less as a family friendly college town. If you are passionate about helping, go after the pharmaceutical and medical industry that has caused the explosion in this problem. Go after politicians with liberal policies which cause the cost of living in California to be such a strain on residents and a headache for real estate developers.
