HELP! I'm Married to a Prophet!: Drs. Matthew & Kamilah Stevenson

I am simply blown away! As a 60 year old divorced female (1999), watching this has taught me more about who I was married to for 22 years. I too am quite prophetic [[undeveloped], but I also see now that my husband was really prophetic. [Totally undeveloped] However, because of a lifetime of rejection and pain that he had and he was married to a prophet who was a times too harsh with my words and acceptance of him...Lord have mercy! He had a serious problem with Unforgiveness and ALWAYS expected the worst! I, of course, was just the opposite. My ex is married again to someone who appreciates him as a provider but who does not have a clue of the true Godly gift that he is. I was so miserable as a young wife because he truly reserved most of his emotions for his next place of hurt (usually from me). And because he could not give me any of the things that I needed emotionally as a woman and a wife - and with all of my brokenness. OMG! Thank you for sharing this part of your life and your maturation process! Thank you! I am breaking even now! I am at so much peace with my life as a single person, and had resolved myself to never being married again. Mainly because my husband was such a wonderful person but miserable husband, I felt that I'd had my turn. Now I understand things so much better - just from this sharing. Who knows, when Father finishes with this learning curve, I may be the answer to someone's prayer - even in my old age. He tells our wonderful adult children that I was a good wife. But truly I can say that there is nothing that I miss about him - cause he never shared himself. He didn't know how and I certainly was not one to show him how! I'm sending a gift to you when I get paid Friday. You probably just closed a gap that it would have costed me thousands in psychology fees to have closed! I have just discovered Dr. Stevenson when he and Mrs. Stevenson were at Life Center in ATL. I had just left a conference at Life Center the week or two before, went on the Life Center's website and discovered YOU BOTH! thank you for posting your sermons on KZbin... The gift is for the two of you, but the offering will be because I want to sow into every preached word that I have listened to and shared over this past week! May God Continue to Bless You!

I SERIOUSLY needed this one! This is information that I really wish that I had 10-20 years ago as a child. I have a prophetic call that I have had all of my life but was afraid to walk into fully. This is so good! came to this video after I saw the video of him preaching at his church and the video where he'd been on periscope. So I've already determined this man as a great speaker and know that God is raising him up even greater, because I expect to see the ones God has preserved for this time as I first stumbled upon T.D. Jakes years ago after asking God a question and he answered me by allowing me to hear T.D. and knew he was one that God was raising up for this time. This video is life. I can't say how many times I laughed out loud at your stories of the prophet when you all first married. And Mrs. Kamilah, you remind me a lot of my own self. I remember sentiments similar to yours before and when I first married a Prophet. i told God I didn't want to marry a Pastor of a church. Then, my husband came. I knew God told me that he was my husband but was very uncertain how the 2 completely personalities would come together. After 8 years together, I have seen God merge us into the one mind in so many areas. And we're yet merging. Been there, done that. I was married to a Prophetess and for me personally, it was an immense mistake to begin with. I've been happily divorced for 9 years (thank goodness we don't have children at all, but we're still good friends). I love my single life so much more and Jesus is all I ever need in my life. One of my favorite Bible verses is 1 Corinthians 7:32-35, "I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord." (not trying to be offensive or vile though). I wish people would stop telling me, "My brutha, it's not good for you to be single at all." My response to that it, "Will you please worry about your own marriage and stop interfering in my personal life?" (I know that sounds vile, but I get so exhausted hearing that).

YES! that verse is soooo true BUT also are the verses that talks about marriage. I've lived both lifestyles and until one of God's true heart son come I will stay happily in peace. One thing I've YET to understand about people who say God called them in 5 fold title ministry is that their personal relationships rarely last past a few years or some stay for ALL the wrong reasons. It seems most of them are giving counseling BUT living a lie themselves.

Yes, and I agree. It talks marriage, but verse 32 is what I love so much, "I would like you to be free from concern. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord," and this is my ultimate goal. I'm happily and contently in peace, and please don't even get me started on people who provide counseling ministries to others lol. Not that I'm being mean, but just because people are in faith-based marriages doesn't mean the marriages are perfect, and some don't even last at all.

When (WE) God's children need to understand that ALL sin no matter what title a person hold and I personally study Jesus' walk for the 3 years on earth. Yes the disciples, prophets, done good works BUT look at their sins. So, when people in the church put their headships in such a high honor and then their flaws come out then the people's faith are shaken. I use to NOT understand how title holders of the Gospel done the types of sins they done until the HOLY SPIRIT taught me about the battle between the flesh and the spirit. Satan uses the mind to control the flesh. That's WHY a person need to take captive over their mind thinking. Many people say they suffer with depression. Depression is ONLY NEGATIVE THINKING and you believing what Satan brings to your mind in a negative way instead of studying the TRUTH by word of the Gospel (Word of God). I won't go into details, but it just didn't work between us. We've been best friends since kindegarten and we're more like brother and sister than anything, although she was very honest in saying that she couldn't handle my independence and I understand. Even though we were married for a brief time (without arguing or fussing, surprisingly lol), I also wanted her to do her own thing too, but she wouldn't. We got divorced on good terms, but she's the most amazing, wonderful, graceful and inspirational woman ever (she's so hilarious and give people laughing gas lol). She'll make a wonderful wife to someone :-)

And side bar prophets I've known cud fill all 5 fold ministry gifts with all spiritual gifts emphasizing the revelation gifts. NO problem. The anointing is just that powerful. If ur in the rain you will be wet 😂, that's a given. Never meet a prophet I didn't love or respect bc I love & respect Jesus The Christ. I had the honor of being in the company of Prophets, ate, drank, etc. Only a few of them married and the ones who weren't married were best friends, sister's & brothers in Christ able to live together but not married. I think that's what she was saying, like she doesn't get from God what he does, but she has moved in the prophetic before. This is so informative and validating of my life and situation. I’m a toddler in the kingdom and this describes everything I’ve got going on around me and especially in me . I can get straight up mean if my time with God is interrupted . It’s hard to have one foot in the supernatural and one foot in the world. I used to me the greatest people pleaser on earth until 5 years ago which is a story too long to state .ive been pretty much set apart and we’ve. Work from home just to be able to be with God . i like whats happening for you two and being in the Will of the Most high and allowing yourself to be Used by him....one thing thou....the most high,the creator of all things,God,the Alfa and Omega is the Head of your house hold. Shanna Howard That's an unrighteous judgment. People listen to something because they're hoping for something good. They won't know that there will be something introduced that they don't like-- until it happens. Jesus said if we cannot love our fellow man who are made in the image of God, then how shall we love our Father in Heaven who we cannot see?" He also said to "be careful in the manner in which you judge because the measure you use toward another is the same measure that will be used at your judgment for you. That should be scary to many of us. Let us be patient with one another and not so rigid and watch our attitudes making sure to walk circumspectly before the Lord. Love the Lord in every way. In all of your thoughts, every day. Follow after the Spirit and you will not do the will of the flesh. It's time for us to make sure we are found holy and blameless. That if we're accused, we're accused because of Christ not because we're found to be hypocrites or worse-- liars. Let us truly love the Lord. Then brethren we will be ABLE with His Love to love even the unlovable so that we can use our voices and the Holy Spirit can call them out of the world and into the Kingdom in Jesus' name. amen

I know I'm prophetic, but I am not quite sure of with grits/office fully. I struggle with being friendly, then awkward, moody, holding onto too many burdens and not only mine. I told God after I changed and he called me to be one of his holy ones that he uses.. I told God I need a wife that is fired up about Jesus, when I talk about Jesus she always wants to talk about him and never get tired of me talking about God. She has to change because she will not want to be with me if she is out there shopping all the time. I need someone that's going to comfort me while it gets heavy. I noticed that I suffer alot when God tells me to invest in this in my life or other people's life. God uses me and I thank him for that. I actually was called into the prophetic so there's no way out so I'm going to grow more and more like Jesus. I want to live a Goldy life and want to love everyone because that's what Jesus would do. Love the people that persecute him and he never hated. I want to learn how to use my anger righteously.
