I used to be a personal trainer..a good one. If you eat good 90 percent of the time and eat bad 10 percent of the time, which will affect you more? It's that simple! Also, if you cheat, then cheat with quality cheat foods. Don't eat a cupcake from a box, eat one form a good bakery.Get it?

I feel so bad, it was all emotional, I know it was. I wanted to GIVE myself something. I fell off the cliff. I’m 67 and have lost 25 lbs, trying to regain my health. I took my blood sugar and was shocked, it wasn’t through the roof. I KNOW I HAVE TO WAKE UP TOMORROW AND START AGAIN. This stuff didn’t taste as good as me feeling good about myself. I live alone … and there is no one here. I clicked on KZbin for someone to tell me , I’m not a failure for doing this, . thank you Dr. Berry you are my hero. Stay humble and open, that is what makes you so endearing ❤

I went into Keto in July of 2017 to combat my Type II Diabetes... I was pretty strict all the way up until Halloween, Turkey Day and X-Mas, and I knew even when I started those would be cheat periods. For each I dropped off the bandwagon for about a week, then just went right back to it afterwards. Each time it took a few days to get back into Keto, but I enjoyed my holidays with my family, had some great food, and only moved my weight up by about 2 pounds during that time. My Glucose only bumped up about 10 points above my new average range of 92-130 during that time and went right back down when I went back to Keto. I see it as, "I lost 40 pounds from July to October (unfortunately been stagnating since October with about 50 pounds to go), but I can't fight to get healthy if I can't enjoy my life. A few cheats a year aren't going to hurt more than what I did to myself before Keto, and all the good I'm doing since Keto makes those cheats well worth it. Like Dr Berry says, if it was good for my paleo ancestors, it's probably not so bad for me... Thanks for all you do Dr Berry, even though I can't seem to find a doctor around here that knows what Keto is, or even willing to work with me after I explain it, I've been able to fall back on advice from the likes of you, Dr Berg, Jason Whitrock, Keto with Casey, Butter Bob and more. My glucose is coming down, I'm fitting into clothes that have been stored in the back of my closet for ages, and I'm feeling a lot better about myself, and my future.

ACTUALLY YOU NEED TO EAT HEALTHY CLEAN KETO 100 PERCENT OF THE TIME AND NOT JUST 90 PERCENT, DURING THE HOLIDAYS COOK YOUR OWN KETO FOOD AND STILL EAT WITH FAMILY BUT DON'T EAT WHAT THEY EAT EVEN IF YOU GET INTO AN ARGUMENT WITH THEM, ALSO IT'S NOT ABOUT ENJOYING LIFE IT'S ABOUT DIET AND EXERCISE, DON'T EVER DRINK EITHER, EVEN IF YOU GET DEPRESSED AT LEAST YOU ARE IN KETOSIS 100 PERCENT OF THE TIME, NOTHING ELSE REALLY MATTERS, AND OH....BTW...YOU JUST GOT TROLLED, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

@mattlove9066 I was gonna say dude lol it doesn't matter how much you eat right you're gonna die at some point, might as well eat a sweet every now and again, but I agree with the drinking, I've never had a drop of alcohol and never will.

I agree. I’m a practicing Catholic and fasting is something we do during lent/advent and sacrifice is very engrained in us… I feel that many of us, as Carnivores, although we benefit greatly (health wise) we are also constantly sacrificing. So, when it comes to feast days like Easter and Christmas, if there is something worth eating like a good quality dark chocolate, cheesecake, or whisky - I will enjoy some and thank God for it! 😁

The big feasting holidays were traditionally preceeded by fasting periods. Every year people fasted together and then feasted together. After our family started attending a Greek Orthodox Church and practicing traditional fasting before Easter and Christmas, these big feasts became so joyous. It is nice to anticipate rich and sweet foods associated with joyous and meaningful gatherings. In America we have lost that practice and feast 365 days a year. Holiday feasts have lost the speacialness and many people dread these opportunities to gain even more weight.

Im 4 months now on carnivore... had a few cheat times... low carbs mostly.. but it demonstrated just how effective carnivore was on my symptoms. I considered the cheat days to be a very positive test that encouraged me to press on. I have autoimmune disease EGPA that i would like to reverse. Carnivore has radically improved some of the major symptoms and im encouraged that some day i be able to get off the monthly nucala injections used to suppress my eosinophils, the biggest and most dangerous symptom of that disease... ❤🎉. Perhaps the "normal" immune system will return and my diet will allow a thanksgiving or christmas like i had in my youth. 🎉 thanks for your vids and awesome info.

Thank you again for your comment, doctor! Well, actually I have lots of questions on what ingredients I can eat for ketogenic diet. But to be specific, I'll narrow it down to two-part question. What is your overall opinion on organic vs. "natural" (for chicken) vs. conventional ingredients? To what degree, should my meals be organic? I know organic vegetables are told to be the best (esp. from Dr. Josh Axe). So, I've been having organic vegetables mostly for my meals at home, following EWG's Dirty 12 / Clean 15 list. Except for some foods like avocados and onions, I eat pretty much everything organic. (leafy greens, carrots, cabbages, grass-fed cheese from New Zealand, lime, tomatoes, ACV, EVOO, Himalayan salt, coconut oil, grass-fed butter etc.) I may sound like a perfectionist or a person with OCD, but I just want to hear about your overall opinions on organic ingredients, especially "natural" chickens and bacons, as some doctors only recommend organic ones. But, none of the grocery stores in my area sell paleo-friendly bacons! Is it okay to eat "natural" bacon without sodium nitrite or "natural" chicken, the ones without growth hormones or antibiotics?

I feel more terrified than guilty. 80 days on modified (low oxalate vegetables) carnivore diet with Tippens protocol for fungating breast tumor. This week after a dear friend told me she wants to die (she is not ill but talking long distance to buoy up her alzheimer beset sister) I went off the rails for three days, ate three oz ice cream, cinnamon rolls, cheese its puffs, cream cheese, port salut cheese, and non organic braunschweiger. I have been co-caregiver for my terminally ill son-in-law for the past two years. Am 87, do all the shopping, half the cooking, what cleaning that gets done and still job one is trying to eat to heal this death sentence breast tumor. This week I behaved as if I simply did not care if I got well. I have an Integrative oncologist who knows less about carnivore, Tippens, fenben (with and without ivermection) than I do. And understands ,zip about oxalates - or just doesnt care enough to learn. I am on my own, with you and Chaffee and Seyfried and the internet. I so fear the damage I have done this week. Haven't healed my liver yet from all the oxalate dumping, have stage 3 NAFLD (only liver symptoms are newly swollen ankles/feet - am 5'2", down to 85 lbs on carnivore from 105). Hope to gain some back. Do 120 jumps on rebounder daily, test w grip strength dynamometer - 49 lbs. Am not atrong but still do shoulder stand and a few exercises. There is zero time for walking until I am too maxxed out and just want to sit and scroll to find more tips for healing the breast cancer. Breast looks like somebody tossed a grenade at my heart. Will die before choosing slash, poison and burn treatments. Takes a half hour 2 x day to warm water cleanse and apply ckean gauze cover pads. This way, only the breast hurts. Take fenben every night with butter pat. Did not know about Tippens, carnivore or Seyfried till Nov 2023, so I have to peddle fast. Tell me I haven't set myself so far back I can't recoup the healing possibility. Or ....💖
