@@simonpro267 While it's true they don't have to put Eurobeat in; if the Intial D Legend movies are anything to go by, a likely candidate for the music that would be used is modern J-Rock by bands signed to avex e.g. BACK-ON. On the other hand, the upcoming Initial D game, even newer than the movies, *does* use Eurobeat, not even an old song but a new one by A-One (of Touhou Eurobeat fame) and motsu from m.o.v.e (on that note, motsu is also another likely candidate to be on a potential M.F. Ghost soundtrack because he's still active despite m.o.v.e breaking up) Modern electro? I don't think so, there's no indication of that, it will either be J-Rock or Eurobeat.

Flashlight - igoda was a non-Eurobeat track in the anime but never got released officially, compare that with the other non-Eurobeat artists with songs in Initial D; BACK-ON have multiple albums/singles and made music for other popular anime like Air Gear and Gundam Build Fighters. They are rock but have rapping in their songs, not unlike m.o.v.e, not unlike AAA (their song blood on fire was in the Japanese dub of the Hong Kong live action film and was covered in English by go2 and Christine) Here's the most recent Initial D media: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqKyc4JmhLKUh7M A-One have considerable fame as a doujin circle making Touhou Eurobeat and motsu is literally the rapper on almost every Initial D opening and ending theme. T. Stebbins is also on the soundtrack. You may have a low opinion on Dave Rodgers remaking his old songs but Eurobeat by the likes of A-One, Odyssey very much alive and kicking. To summarize: Avex would be taking a risk not using more popular music and artists like BACK-ON. Avex would also be taking a risk not using music associated with the franchise. Eurobeat is the most prominent and people consciously associate that with Initial D but the second most prominent is m.o.v.e eclectic blend of rap. So with the *assumption* that Eurobeat wouldn't be used, avex would likely go for the second most prominent. They can't use m.o.v.e since they disbanded, but if you check out the avex channel you can see how many artists that use rap in some way or form, and if not rap, just straight up J-Rock.

Artists like Ace and Fastway (aka Go 2) are still around for their flagship of SCP Music (look up Eurobeat Kudos/Euro Kudos on Spotify), a few others who are with companies like Delta Music Industry are active as well, getting ready to do a re-release of their series of Eurobeat songs as well. So Eurobeat itself is alive and well, just not under Avex's mean, prohibitive thumb like usual. The only one that's really in question is the company, Time Records.
