Mmm!! looks like you enjoyed that job😅 Back to basics tool l use is a matlock, like a pick/spade but wider. You smash it nto the roots,then lever them out.

Hard graft mate, see your work rate was more than double that of the young fella in blue, I remember.working with the Paddy's years ago, new lad started and at the end of the first day he said "" I will sleep well tonight " quick as a flash the gangerman replied " Yes and have a good lay in tomorrow, because you are no use to me " 😂

That's brilliant 🤣 cheers and yes, there is working and then there's WORKING 💪😅

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd Old Paddy's were tough men, another time me 16yrs old and another fella were sent to hand dig a trench, the same ganger caught us having a quick break he said "Ok lads I want to try something new, jump in and out of the trench until I tell you to stop" after a minute of jumping in and out I said "why are we doing this ?" he replied " I was right, you 2 move more dirt stuck to the soles of your boots than you do with them fricking shovels"

I always find a chainsaw snags and pinches on smaller branches..? That was a chainsaw you ended up using eventually? After the initial going over with the hedgetrimmer? Do you have the larger of the Stihl trimmers by the way? The long bladed one which runs at slower revs good for thick branches.
@LewisgardenservicesLtd Жыл бұрын
Chainsaw does tent to catch on a load of smaller branches, was using the echo hedge trimmer on this one. Cheers 👍
