A friend gave me some estate pipes, and I need your help identifying shapes, makers, and history. Take a look and tell me what you think. Thanks!

For stem repair/replacement I can vouch for Tim West. He did an incredible job with a difficult replacement stem for one of my Lees.

Great looking pipes. I have five clay pipes three long pub church wardens in a nice hand made pipe box with a drawer for tobacco made by a dear friend of mine. I also have a short one in a tin Case made by the same gentleman. Used this quite a bit at revolutionary war reenactments. Good luck in your research and reconditioning of your new pipes. Cheers Ron

Nice score on the estate pipes. I'm sure that Kaywoodie will be a great smoker I heard in those days when that one was made the briar, they used was 200 to 400 years old, very dense and light. I am very much looking forward to you smoking that clay pipe. I have been thinking of getting one myself. Cheers!

I am a big fan of briarville for full restoration services. He will send those pipes back looking like the day they walked off the line. The VFQ has an interesting history. They weren’t to tippy top line but were a good mid grade pipe. That’s a paneled billiard paneled apple. The almanmater pipes from medico are HARD to find. They traditionally had the seal of a college on the end of the bowl. 😊

The unmarked Danish pipe could possibly be a “Mister” shaped by Niels Mogens Jørgensen who was also the pipe maker for Jarl pipes. I own 2 “Mister” pipes that are identical to the one that you have. I hope this help you in your research.
