The cakes are beautiful!! My concern though is if the outside brown edges were trimmed and if you would recommend that it be done every time. I always do but it might be a time-saver if I didn't have to do it all the time🙉

I personally like the taste of the browned outside of cakes. I do know a lot of people cut them off too. At this particular bakery, they're moving at such a fast rate that there really isn't time to be picky about that and I don't think any customers have ever mentioned it!

It’s American buttercream flavoured with coconut extract and we pile on an extra dose of unsweetened coconut flakes.

These ones aren’t! They bake them up super fresh and they are quickly decorated so they don’t need it.
