Me and my mother would take a ride downtown Phoenix to the Zone giving out water and snacks, until we get caught and asked to leave. Actually we were asked not to come back and that we are not allowed to feed the homeless, I asked about handing out water only. *"Unfortunately we encourage you not to give the homeless water or anything"* was what Phoenix PD told me the past time I went up there. He also said that it it's a trash issue and it "discourages" them from leaving to search for jobs, housing, rehab etc etc. What a load of B.S. the officers dumped on me 💩 *Anyway....* Micheal, keep doing what you do. I bet your lucky wife and family are proud of what you. Your channel is growing i noticed. So after a week of watching a couple dozen of these clips I am torn. I feel compassion and frustration at the same time. As great as it is to help with food and supplies for these lovely human beings, it also keeps them in a status quo, so to speak. In my city, these folks know where to stand to beg. It causes constant traffic issues. Not to mention the tents that are set up along sidewalks. I wish there were a good solution and I commend what folks like Mike are doing!!!

You are 💯 on that but it is a donation #1 that someone gave specifically to her and she is a grown woman that can make her own choices, no one tells anyone homeless how to spend their money and no one should. It's those types of choices that tells someone they are doing well or not. For someone to make a choice between food to keep them alive or a pack of cigarettes. A big sandwich or a bottle of beer, or a home vs drugs. Unless someone makes that connection and chooses for themselves it's pointless to do anything more than just have integrity and do what Micheal does... Help people... 👍

Never give up on ppl, there is always hope for change! My brother was homeless and addicted for 10+ years. Sadly many friends and family list hope. It was very hard to watch and deal with, but I never gave up hope🙏Glad to say he’s been in treatment and clean now for 6 months! Hi Michael. It's been a while since I've commented but have been watching. Praying for Jessica and all the homeless friends. My mother's health is getting very bad so I may be back in Tucson in my van again. Haven't been able to donate lately cuz trying to save up for that possibility. When I get back I will do my best (as one of the homeless in Tucson) to talk to some and hopefully get them to accept getting help into treatment. Some may want to get off the drugs and streets and by being one of them and having time to spend with them daily might help. Others I know like the lifestyle and unfortunately will not go into rehab or housing willingly all I can do is give them a listening ear and love. Thank you Michael for all you're doing. Maybe one day we will meet. I'll be the one living in a white van with my little black shitzhu and probably my mom's little poodle mix. Love to all there in Tucson ❤️
