Helping My Dad Buy His First Porsche!

Sooo my dad's been on the hunt for a 991 for over a year now, and finally decided on one that he liked! He didn't like how the C2S got squirrely when he tried to put power down, so he went on a long search for a C4S. Glad I got to be a part of the journey; hope you all enjoy!

Congrats! I always love Porsche & I’ve been enjoying my brand new one since 2016. But one thing for sure, I would never “down shift” from a 3rd gear to a 2nd gear at over 70mph though….😬😬😬

I bought a 2015 Carrera 4S just like your Dads. Great car you will love the all wheel drive feel. I had a 996 Turbo manual before and this car with PDK is so much easier to drive in traffic.

Ooh nice! He’s been loving it compared to a 991 2S. I drive my manual 996 Turbo into work occasionally, and totally agree that it’s brutal driving through heavy traffic. How was the switch from a TT to NA btw? You might give me some ideas 🤔😂

With the OEM software on the PDK, you cannot over revv it. The computer simply won’t let you if it thinks the RPM’s are too high. 😎

Please elaborate on how a 991 is more fun than a 992. I think (for your dad especially) a 992 would be the much better choice. Did you even show him a 992?

I really think a NA 991 is a ton of fun! I haven’t driven a 992 yet, but this was a perfect balance for him. He was joking around about upgrading to a 992 in a few years though… 😉
