I love “helping mom” videos! Watching your videos over the past few years has really helped to give me a drive and the beginnings of a new passion. I have been mulling the idea of starting a garden for my mother who has a completely raw yard and I think this is the year. My mother died when I was 12. It has been 50 years. It is wonderful to see such a great relationship and dream of what might have been. They are both so fortunate to have one another in their lives. I think they know that too.

My daughter just past away and the love of butterflies was one of the most precious passions we shared. Being a Christian Mother myself I taught her & my son to think about the evolution of the ugly caterpillar into the breathtakingly beautiful butterfly as to how & what happens when we are born again of the Holy Spirit

Ya'll are so adorable together. My mother isn't much of an outdoor gardener (more of a inside plant person) but this is why she has me! :) I love to be able to plant up her front porch area even if she doesn't ask for it. She enjoys what ever I come up with and she'll call me later and say how much it makes her smile. That is all we can ask for as daughters. To bring some added joy into our mother's day. It’s so much fun getting to work with your mom in the garden. I miss doing that with my mom. She always wanted to plant Moss Roses along each side of our front sidewalk. I would help her do it, usually on a Saturday in the spring. Such a great memory.

never have I seen butterfly topiary like that, having a hard time imagining them having lasting power, definitely show some follow up videos where they grow in a bit and cover the forms, i just wonder how carefully they have to be trimmed and how frequently in order to keep a butterfly shape, it's unique for sure, goodluck

What a fun space! Your Mom mentioning the rubber duckie made me think of when a friend and I bought some to put in the ponds in our yards. She had a TINY little premade that was only 2' x 4' and she put one duckie in it. The next day she looked out to see a REAL duck baby sitting the rubber one! lol

I just love videos with you and your Mom..what absolute sweet hearts you both are...My mom is gone now but what fun we had when she was alive...my sister and I lay her patio with stones and my Mom would bring us the piles of bricks so we didn't have to keep getting up and down and we could hardly keep up with her, she was so fast.
