This is precisely the installation I'm intending to do in a couple of weeks. Thanks for posting! Very helpful.

I know the bumper is rated for 10K winch max but what difference can it make for an extra 2K ? Its been 2 years already since installed. Any problems with it or the bumper so far ?

That bumper is only rated for 10,000lb winch max.

Yeah, my buddy was definitely exceeding the limitations of this bumper using his winch to pull some trees down and it actually bent the mounting plate on the frame of the truck. The bumper took no damage. I’m really impressed with the quality of the bumper.

Not knocking your work by any means, but one has got to wonder if you guys did any research at all before installing this. The end result was good and I suppose that's what matters, but you could have saved yourselves SO many headaches by doing simple things like actually removing the bumper as per the instructions. This was painful to watch LOL. Good job none the less. Oh and by the way, the Badlands winch is an absolute beast. It is better than Warn and comes in at a decent price. I've pulled many a Yeep out of the shit with this thing and it just keeps going; it is anything but a pos.

I have no doubts you’re definitely right. This was my buddy’s truck and this is how he wanted to do it. So I basically tagged along and let him use my shop space. Final product came out good and we had a good time doing it.
