lies, the national park and the delta are protected. The drilling is being done 250km away in Namibia; to the benefit of the people and country. Stop being a shill, let these countries develop their resources and climb out of poverty -just like every other nation that was built using fossil fuels. If anything, developed nations should stop their own drilling.

I certainly understand about wildfires, as am evacuated from the Caldor Wildfire in Western Sierra Nevada Mountains, as it creeps east to the Nevada border beneath the South Lake Tahoe region in Eastern, Northern California. The smoke is toxic... not good forest mana6by the State & National Forest managers. Still have a dream to see the Savanah, Botswana, Kenya & other countries in Africa, since the early 1960's when I wrote a paper about the illegal ivory market h the killing of the African elephants for their tusks...still a problem. & thank you to the rangers & local villagers for learning about living with the wild animals & not just executing them.

Ye that’s a huge a problem…and now to add on top of that Canadian-based oil and gas company ReconAfrica, has acquired rights to explore for oil and gas in more than 35 000 square kilometres in the Kavango basin in Namibia and Botswana. The company has started with the drilling of test wells in Namibia. Between them all they’re going to destroy one of the last wild bastions for free roaming migratory channels for animals on Africa.
