WARNING, this episode contains adult content, all within the sound teaching and wisdom of the Catholic Church, that may not be suitable for younger listeners. Today John, Devin, and Sam engage in a meaningful conversation covering 3 important things that women do not understand about men. In this episode, you will find topics that are often unspoken between the sexes but create confusion, tension, and oftentimes emotional pain in our relationships with women. You are going to hear topics on stress, insecurities, beauty, and work, and why men react the way they do from a perspective unique to our masculinity. Additionally, we will discuss proven practices aimed at fostering healing and increased understanding of how these differences can work for our mutual improvement.

You know what really helps? If men start being faithful in their thoughts, in what they watch, what they see, what feelings they allow to enter their hearts. We, women, can feel wether an affirmation word is authentic or it’s not, we can sense things, we can sense if our man is admiring other woman’s beauty. We can put effort in exercising, eating healthy, and put effort in our outfits and inner world, but if men don’t purify their hearts, they will find so hard to see real feminine beauty.

Wife and mom here! The beauty of woman is a “figura” in Medieval Latin ie. something that makes accessible to the senses the invisible. Woman’s visual beauty should reflect the inner beauty of her soul and ultimately the glorious beauty of God. In that way she restores the pure gift of God in the garden of Eden.

I love working on something for many hours on my own, uninterrupted, and talking to no one! To be honest, I listened to this and your previous podcast and a lot of what you have said has resonated with me as a woman, so I don't think it is a male vs female thing in a lot of cases, but more like degrees. The reason, for example, why a man can really enjoy a 12 hour day doing yardwork is because he has a wife taking care of everything else: children, laundry, his meals, etc. We women would love to do the same, at least I would, but I don't have a wife. I am the wife. So that luxury and peace that you experience isn't something afforded to me. Now, I'm not complaining, just stating facts. Also, you seem to infer that wives at home with children aren't working 12 hour days. Well, it's true, they aren't. They are working 24 hours days 7 days a week. "Come home tired after a 10 hour shift," but her shift never ends. I'm not saying boohoo poor her men have it better, but I feel like you're not acknowledging that she works, too. My husband wanted to know why I couldn't relax at home like he can and I told him it is because home is my place of work. Home is my job. Even when I work outside the home is still my job. I don't have a wife doing everything for me so I can work and come home and relax. I'm not making this a competition, but just speaking from a woman's perspective to fill in blanks I seem to be hearing in your conversations. So many times I have told my husband, "I could really use a wife!" Lol!!

🤔 I dunno maybe it's just me but I find that it helps me a lot if I can express my work-related anxiety to my husband. Very gently, that is. Not taking it out on him or something. And I want him to be able to do that as well without worrying about me getting, well, worried. I dont attempt to tell him what to do but I think it is important to also know how we really are, and just support each other.

I noticed most of these replies are coming from women with soft critique. I am a woman. Women need to listen. It is also why a good father is necessary in every daughter's life. Great job guys.

Firstly, just wanted to thank you all for your incredibly interesting and suitably nuanced discussion. It’s so refreshing to listen to a podcast that isn’t just women-bashing and self aggrandising. But secondly, you raise an interesting point about single focus, compartmentalisation etc and it’s interesting to see that many boys these days don’t have that ability. Instead being led by their emotions and what they want to do as opposed to what they ought to do. I suspect it’s down to the amount of illicit material they watch online that they’ve trained themselves to be that way (because otherwise normally developing boys seem to suddenly become this way in adolescence). Do you think there is a culture among men of letting their buddies off the hook when it comes to sins like this, or is that only just starting to be observed?

Don’t give up! Pray to St. Augustine to help you and read his Confessions. Also practice replacement behavior. When you feel tempted, pray. When you feel really tempted, work out. Keep replacing the behavior until you build other habits. Don’t give up, brother!! 👍

To give up being chaste is to give up going to Heaven because the number one cause for people that go to Hell is their slavery to lust and sexual immorality. Why? Because you are directly breaking all 10 commandments at once, you are not your own and neither is the people you take to bed weather masturbation, consentual, or not and really if it’s not consentual than it’s rape regardless of the circumstances of the person themselves even posted it online , which I invite you to watch the real movie documented of real time what’s happening in America called “The Sound of Freedom” . To be chaste is to have control over your own body instead of you being slaved to it. Also, every single action we make causes the outcome of not only what happens in the world but all of eternity, that’s why all of this will add up on judgment day. Not good. Choose God’s Divine Mercy tô free you of this vice by praying the Duvine Mercy Chaplet every day at 3pm and stay present with Christ for a whole hour every day, pray the Rosary daily that’s a necessity not an option. We don’t have time to play lukewarm with the devil and his despair tactics. Do you know why Judas went to Hell but Peter went to Heaven? They both crossed Jesus, they both kept messing up and sinning gravely, do you know why Judas went to Hell? Because he gave up to the evil and the sins instead of focusing on Jesus as the strength to overcome all of this. Peter would have fallen to the same despair if he didn’t call out to Jesus while he was sinking in the water after he started walking on water. It’s not all up to you you don’t have the strength to overcome this world, Christ does! So change your attitude and your battle plan and stick to God’s way! Your very life depends on it because there’s no other way through but through Christ. We NEED purity and chaste brother and sisters now more than ever! If you don’t you’ll be used by the devil to cause the sex trafficking slavery to hit full throttle because youre already in it believe it or not. Many people have died because of this. It’s not a personal you problem, it’s a direct spiritual war on us! So wake up and join our team to regain the land evil has stolen from us! Sexual immorality now is so high God revealed we make Gammorah look innocent by how many we have taken down to ruin. Did you know our abortion clinics have killed more people than the natzi killed Jews? The lead cause of those abortions are people in fornication. Why fornication? Because of lack of self control, lack of knowing who they are by their sexual power, and thus leaves the devil to create soul ties and break up marriages before they even start. In short : if you aren’t practicing chastity you are practicing divorce, isolation and misery. We reap what we sow. We can not serve two masters, either you are all in for God or all in for the devil. Anyone who is lukewarm God spits out and gives to the devil’s team because of not being faithful to God. This is your warning to choose now : who’s side are you on? The rest will fall into place if you stay firm to God.

You give up being chaste, you give up on protecting your spouse’s purity too. What will you have to give them? Your vow to love them would mean nothing because you are already choosing to give yourself away to other people, it’s called fornication because you are betraying and cheating on your future spouse. It’s called masturbation because you are handicapping yourself. So when you do get married the devil already hooked you re-wired your brain LITERALLY (look at the science for yourself , read Matt Fradd’s book too called “the porn myth” it’s very relevant to it) so when it’s time to be faithful you become the very adulterer you never wanted to become, the father that leaves their kids for eye candy, the mother that carries those genes 🧬 to cause the sin to effect your next generation of kids. Did you not know this? All your actions especially your bad habits are carried in by your DNA and what you choose to do your kids will struggle with too that’s why we have prayers to break generational curses! Break what’s been thrown at our generation by setting the new example. We NEED you to. Shalom

Men and Women lack the knowledge of the theology of the body. It’s possible to learn how to love each other from what Jesus taught. If you focus on the words of Jesus and communicate each other, build the bond. Be together.
