In this video I discuss what goes into controlling and improving your club path. For so long, this most misunderstood of ingredients has caused more issues than its helped. I will show you the many pitfalls golfers get sucked in to, but equally, how to change it.
Golfers are looking for more consistency, longer drives, hitting a draw and lowering your handicap. The belief for far too long has been directed in changing club path.. Today Ii will show you how to do just that, but not as you know it.
Hope you enjoy!

You describe very well in video after video the inside path I tried for way too many years and years and years upon years I tried and failed to learn. Thanks to your channel and lessons on Skillest, I am playing the best golf of my middle aged life and still have much to improve on :-), especially my lift up on the handle instead of push down for take away and my lifting out of posture in the backswing cause I really wanna paste that ball a country mile. I have been working with your videos and lessons for a couple months now and am amazed that everything you have recommended (except wearing shoes :-)) has not only worked but worked right away, consistently and repeatedly, giving me great joy. I keep promising you another video for your expert review and will send soon. I think I am performing the handle push down fairly well but am a bit nervous about still lifting out of posture. In any case I can't thank you enough, Stu, and am looking forward to the next step in the transformation of my swing.

I can definitely relate to the shanks from the inside. Fortunately it doesn't happen too often these days but when it does, it wrecks your mind!

Nice explanation of how important face-to-path is and why it’s more important than just path. You also showed me why I sometimes shank. Thanks for the education. Cheers.

Extremely informative. Steward, grew up a fan of the Nicklaus swing and he often suggested to hold shoulder back or keep shirt buttons back to get arm path to swing past chest… The open stance weak grip and leg drive , slide.. Any wonder fans of his were a bit challenged to understand and duplicate. Lesson, don’t copy visual. Understand geometry, physics, and body dynamics. Or, buy a broom. Good Coaching..😊

......ya know i was just thinking.......just got off the range and the one thing that I really like about the way you describe the golf swing is that it just happens if you understand the forces and because of knowing that you can swing with more venom...... I might not be able to bomb it 300 yards but I but I guarantee you I can feel that pop when I hit the ball.....thanks Stu.....⛳🍺

Thanks Gary… the golf swing is like five people trying to push you over. Finding a way to push back, keep balance and still move quickly is how we should look at it. It’s a fascinating lives organism that needs to be understood and respected. Thanks for being here as always good buddy. Best wishes Stu 😊

While I understand what you are saying in these videos and I've made productive changes in my swing because of your videos, I can't help disagreeing with some of what you say. I would say that club path is not less important than face angle, but that both are essential to control. You can't hit a draw with an out to in path unless it's a pull hook. I also disagree with your contention that a small or even positive angle of attack causes weak strikes and poor compression. There are other issues with a shallow angle of attack but I compress the ball better with a shallow angle of attack and good shaft lean. The low spin loft produces maximum compression and distance for me with a high draw that goes forever and feels fantastic off the face with tremendous compression and efficiency. The ball also has a very high descent angle because of the high launch and low spin. I can hit a 120 yard 9 iron with a steep angle of attack because it generates a lot of spin and a glancing blow or carry over 160 yards with a shallow angle of attack. The ideal lies somewhere in between because it is difficult to strike a ball with low angle of attack on the golf course where grass comes into play unlike indoors. But I love the powerful strike and distance that I get from the shallow angle of attack.

Fair enough! You know far more than I. Based on your videos, I've been adjusting my swing to finish more around to the left. It has helped my over draw where I was swinging too much inside out. Enjoying the content very much.@@GoodGolfCoaching

Why do you look at face to path rather than path and face angle as two separate tiles?

@@GoodGolfCoaching but isn’t the face to path tile just the difference deference path and face angle ?

Yes it is. And will make the path react. But you’ll see, I do have face angle and path up as well…
